Frustrating experience — rejected job post with no clear explanation

I wanted to post a job for a freelance SEO specialist. The first thing I didn’t like is that you can’t do anything — even browse the talent database — without registering, which is already annoying. Why would I create an account on a platform where I might not even find what I’m looking for?

Still, I went through the registration process and decided to post the job. I wrote the description using their own AI bot. However, the budget selection was very inconvenient — I couldn’t find a way to set an hourly rate. I personally find it much easier to work with hourly pricing rather than big fixed numbers.

In the end, I spent my time creating the job post, only for it to be rejected without any clear explanation. Formally, they wrote something like “check this, this, and this,” but in reality there was no clarity on what exactly I did wrong or what I needed to change for the post to be approved — especially considering the job description was created using their own AI tool.

After this experience, I don’t want to come back to the platform. It’s easier to return to the websites I used before, where the process is transparent and clear. Contra definitely needs to improve their moderation process and overall usability.

Great quality, fair price

We bought a sofa from this company and we are very happy with the product itself. The quality is excellent and the price is good, so overall we’re satisfied with the purchase.

That said, the delivery took longer than expected. They advertise delivery within two weeks, but in reality it happened significantly later. It wasn’t a huge problem for us, but there wasn’t a clear delivery timeline, which made planning difficult. We received our sofa roughly one month after placing the order.

Apart from that, everything was fine.

TheGood prices, but delivery problems and last-minute updates company sells tires cheaper than…

The company sells tires cheaper than many other places, and that’s the main reason I ordered here.
However, the delivery experience has been very disappointing.

The tires were supposed to arrive within 5–7 days, but it has now been 10 days and they still haven’t been delivered, with no clear information on when they will arrive.

Because of the delay, I had to change my plans and cancel my tire replacement appointment that I booked through the website. The worst part is that I only received the “not delivered” notification at 7 PM the evening before the installation, even though the appointment was scheduled for the next morning. That’s extremely last-minute and very inconvenient.

At this point, the lower price does not compensate for the wasted time, stress, and constant need to rearrange plans.

Extremely disappointing quality and customer service

I purchased a Christian Louboutin perfume for €270, and the experience has been nothing short of shocking. First, the product arrived with a defective sprayer — it barely worked from the very beginning. On top of that, a piece of inner decorative packaging literally fell off, which is unacceptable for a luxury item in this price range.

When I contacted customer service, instead of addressing the obvious manufacturing defects, they insisted that I provide photos not only of the defect but also a photo of the original box and outer packaging. The perfume was a gift, so the wrapping was naturally disposed of after opening. Yet they still refused to proceed without photos of the packaging — essentially asking me to dig through the trash for a box.

For a brand that sells perfume for €270 per 50 ml, it’s unbelievable that they cannot resolve a clear production fault unless a customer keeps every piece of cardboard. This policy was never mentioned at the time of purchase, and it contradicts basic EU consumer rights, which require a seller to address defects based on proof of purchase and evidence of the issue — not on whether you still have the box.

Extremely disappointing experience, poor handling, and absolutely not what you expect from a so-called luxury brand. I cannot recommend them and will not be purchasing again.

Very disappointing experience – avoid this store!

I ordered 4 chairs from this store. Despite the website having a Dutch domain (.nl), the items were shipped from outside the Netherlands, which was not clearly stated. Because of this, returning the items costs €75 for shipping plus an additional €15 handling fee.

The chairs arrived with poor-quality paint – uneven and patchy, making them look cheap and defective. I contacted the store, but they refused to accept the return, claiming this is not a defect.

Do not buy from this store unless you're willing to risk being stuck with subpar products and no way to return them. Very disappointing experience.

I placed my order almost a month ago

I placed my order almost a month ago, but it still hasn’t been shipped. Moreover, the company hasn’t provided any updates or information regarding the delay – there’s complete silence. It feels like they’re selling products that aren’t actually in stock. I’m very disappointed with the service and the lack of proper communication. The original delivery date was supposed to be February 12, but there’s still no sign of my shipment.

Worst experience

Worst experience. I bought a highlighter as a gift, and it arrived broken due to the delivery service. When I contacted customer service for a replacement, they offered me a 25 euro discount to buy the highlighter again. The price is 39 euros plus 7 euros for delivery. When I asked how to return it for a full refund, I was told that if I have an account I can make a refund for free, but it doesn’t work in Europe. Here you have to pay 9 euros to send it back. So, I ended up paying 16 euros to see a broken highlighter. Great business, Fenty.

Positive Experience Despite Car Accident (Palma)

I want to leave a positive review for the company. I rented a car through Booking.com and also bought insurance from them. When I came to the office to pick up the car, nobody forced me to buy their premium insurance. The car was in good condition, although not very clean inside, but that was not a problem.

On the last day, while heading to the airport, we had a minor accident (my fault) with another car rented from GoByCar. The main issue was that neither we nor they could find the insurance information for the damage report. The call center specialists gave us different information: some asked both parties to come to the office because we had external insurance, which was not true since we had basic insurance and the car could not be used without insurance. The final advice was to list GoByCar in the insurance section of the report.

We went to the office immediately, and the other party took their way. A very nice girl on return inspected the car, asked if we were okay, took pictures, and led us to the office. Another friendly specialist processed the paperwork, took a copy of the damage report (which I believe was not very useful), and we paid the damage fee, which was surprisingly reasonable.

I still don't fully understand how compensation works for the other car's damage, which was minor but still present. However, I was told that the payment I made was the final amount and that my responsibility was fulfilled.
If this is the case, I can say that the bad situation was handled smoothly, easily and quickly. My only recommendation is to ask for detailed insurance information, as it will be necessary to properly complete the report in case of an incident.

SCAM!

3.5 months later the order has not arrived and most likely was never sent. At first, they answered the letters and said that the parcel was returned due to an error in the address, which is unlikely since all fields are filled in automatically and there have never been any problems. They promised to send it as soon as possible and for the last 2 months, they simply stopped responding.
And an important factor is that there is no talk of any handmade work from Japan. At best you will get a Chinese glass.

Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable recommending this service

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this service. I ordered the plant box for 70 EUR for a friends bday. We agreed on the postponed delivery date (Saturday) and everything was good, they had more than a week for the organization. The delivery address was organized directly to my friend's house. The day before delivery I get a message from the service that plants will be delivered tomorrow (Saturday )and I’ll get the tracking code later. But I didn’t get a tracking code that day or any other day. Parcel also was not delivered on Saturday. When I contacted the company they had zero information about my delivery and had to ask post nl about it. It seems strange to me that they give their plants to the post without any tracking information, I was sure that sending gets the tracking code the minute the post gets it.
On Monday I got a message from the company that post nl mixed up dates and the delivery will be on Tuesday, but nothing happened on Tuesday. So I asked for a refund because this situation is not under control. Unfortunately, we have not agreed on the refund yet.
Why I asked for a refund:
I have zero proof that the box was sent,
Even if plants were sent, I don’t believe they might be in good condition after such bad delivery,
I don’t see any activity from the company to solve this situation as soon as possible.
As it was a gift I am especially sad about this situation. I asked my friend to wait 2 times for nothing and probably if the plans come one day they will be in bad condition, so she will have to organize the sending back to the company. What a terrible gift it is!
I understand that company might be a victim of terrible post nl service, but this is the company responsible, not the customer.
I’m very sad and disappointed about everything that happened.

UPDATE:
My friend finally got her present after 5 days of delay. The plants were fine, which was a good surprise. The plants are in good shape and look nice as I can see from the pictures. But I still cannot say that I enjoyed the way of solving this sensitive problem.
I change the rating to 3 stars from 1.

В ситуации недопонимания, компания повела себя очень профессионально и разрулила ситуацию позитивным образом. Единственное, что я могла бы порекомендовать - сделать какую-то отбивку после оплаты о сроках предоставления той или иной услуги, чтобы не дергать специалистов.
