Positive Experience Despite Car Accident (Palma)

I want to leave a positive review for the company. I rented a car through Booking.com and also bought insurance from them. When I came to the office to pick up the car, nobody forced me to buy their premium insurance. The car was in good condition, although not very clean inside, but that was not a problem.

On the last day, while heading to the airport, we had a minor accident (my fault) with another car rented from GoByCar. The main issue was that neither we nor they could find the insurance information for the damage report. The call center specialists gave us different information: some asked both parties to come to the office because we had external insurance, which was not true since we had basic insurance and the car could not be used without insurance. The final advice was to list GoByCar in the insurance section of the report.

We went to the office immediately, and the other party took their way. A very nice girl on return inspected the car, asked if we were okay, took pictures, and led us to the office. Another friendly specialist processed the paperwork, took a copy of the damage report (which I believe was not very useful), and we paid the damage fee, which was surprisingly reasonable.

I still don't fully understand how compensation works for the other car's damage, which was minor but still present. However, I was told that the payment I made was the final amount and that my responsibility was fulfilled.
If this is the case, I can say that the bad situation was handled smoothly, easily and quickly. My only recommendation is to ask for detailed insurance information, as it will be necessary to properly complete the report in case of an incident.
