my family and I had the most wonderful…
my family and I had the most wonderful week in this very special Villa. we came together from four different countries and two continents - and it was truely worth it!! the location was unknown to us, but it was close enough for a day-trip to Cassis, for experiencing the Calanques, a trip to Aix and of course a memorable dinner at Chateau de Fonscolombe.
this was a great suggestion from Provence Holidays which have also been super helpful in organising this special time.

Concerns = Misrepresentation and mismanagement
Concerns = Misrepresentation of the property and totally inadequate management / preparation. We rented a house in Provence through Provence Holidays. The information about the house said it had a private tennis court, a golf practice area and a swimming pool. Shortly before we arrived, they told us the golf area was no longer available, very disappointing as it had been one of the key attractions of the place, and gave us a small amount off the rental price (~5%). On arrival (a Saturday), having carried tennis rackets from the UK, we found that the court was a pickle ball court that was far too small for a game of tennis. Even worse, the swimming pool was completely green and murky with bits of broken wood (off the pool cover box) floating around in it. The broken wood was repaired on Sunday but the pool chemical man didn’t arrive until Monday at 5pm (having just been appointed by Provence Holidays that day) and the pool was not clear enough, to safely swim in, until Wednesday afternoon meaning the pool was only safely useable for 3/7 days as we had to leave by 10am the following Saturday.
They have refused to offer compensation for this but say that we can have 15% off the same house if we choose to rent it next year!! Many travel companies offer that anyway if you rebook with them….
Needless to say, we will never use Provence Holidays again.

We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations, but we would like to clarify a few points in order to provide the full context.
Regarding the golf practice area, we fully understand your disappointment. However, this was communicated to you before your arrival. In addition, we refunded 5% of the total cost of your stay before you arrived and offered complimentary transfers to the nearest golf course at our expense, so that you could still enjoy a round of golf during your holiday.
Regarding the tennis court, the information we had been provided with indicated that the property had a tennis court. Following your stay, we have clarified the situation and corrected the information in the property description to accurately reflect the facilities available.
Regarding the swimming pool, the issue was identified on the day of your arrival and was addressed immediately. During the period of exceptionally high temperatures, unfortunately a number of swimming pools in the region experienced similar problems. The owner acted quickly to resolve the issue and arranged for the pool to be treated and monitored. Water tests were also provided confirming that the pool was safe for swimming, and we understand that you did make use of the pool during all your stay.
Regarding the wooden pool deck/cover structure, this was damaged within the first days of your stay and was repaired very promptly. Unfortunately, it was damaged again during your stay. The owner therefore did everything reasonably possible to deal with the issue as quickly as possible while you were at the property, and also personally apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Following the issues encountered, the owner made a significant goodwill offer of a discount for a future stay at the property. We understand that this proposal did not meet your expectations, but it was made as a genuine gesture in recognition of the inconvenience you experienced.
We respect your right to share your experience publicly. However, as you had informed us that you intended to publish this review, we feel it is important to also provide the context and explain the actions that were taken during your stay. Our priority throughout was to respond to the issues as quickly as possible and to ensure your safety and comfort.
We are sorry that, despite these efforts, you left feeling disappointed, and we regret that we were unable to reach a resolution that was satisfactory to you.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mas de Rosemarie in Joucas. The house is beautifully decorated, confortable, cosy and very well equipped. It was also very clean! The hosts Chris and Martin were very welcoming and friendly and they clearly have though of everything! Thank you so much.

Love the area
Love the area, fantastic house. Lausanne is great as is nearby Paradou....we had a few small problems with our washing machine which was not working properly and with drainage in the sink, but overall, the house, the concierge, the service, the quality were all very good as you would expect it to be for the cost / price of rental.

Amazing House!
The house was fantastic, the owners had thought of absolutely every detail in terms of equipment from pool inflatables to every kitchen appliance you could think of.
The owners could not do enough for us from arranging padel court bookings (highly recommend) to delivering us fresh peaches and nectarines from the local farmer.
The house is perfectly located and the village has fantastic restaurants and a great small supermarket selling great bread and croissants from the bakery every day.

Villa and location were wonderful
The Villa is a very nice relaxed place in Provence for holiday. Lovely location , easy to access &near to all the lovely market villages. Plenty of parking for 4 cards.
The Villa itself is pretty & big enough for 12 guests . Rooms were neat with attached bathrooms.
All rooms were well maintained, decorated to high standard. They even provided us with a crib and high chair for infant and smaller mattress for the toddler.
Kitchen was big with plenty of utensils and crockeries etc. But dinning room was big and very practical.
Out side the garden was neat & clean & beautiful, well furnished with dinning table , chairs with cushions . We spent a lot of time outside- having dinners, reading, relaxing, playing cards. Got to have fresh apples and figs straight from the orchard.
Swimming pool was big enough & kept clean & was safe with alarm system. Best part especially during the heat wave. Didn't need for it to be heated (but option was available).
We had amazing time . Definitely we recommend this place nice relaxed , quiet retreat. A huge thanks to Provence Holidays- very quick to respond to our messages and help us. And Caroline- house manager was amazing.
Only suggestion- wish there were ceiling fans in dining room and indoor family room.

Beautifully maintained

We had an absolutely wonderful week at Domaine des Arts, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations.
The villa is truly exceptional. It is a beautiful and very special property, combining the character and charm of Provence with an impressive level of comfort and sophistication. What made it particularly memorable for us was the incredible attention to detail. The house is filled with beautiful works of art, wonderful art books and carefully chosen objects, creating an atmosphere that feels much more like staying in a private home than in a holiday rental.
Everything was thoughtfully prepared for our arrival, and the house had absolutely everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing week. We were a group of seven adults, and the property gave us plenty of space while still feeling warm and welcoming.
The location is also fantastic for exploring Provence, while offering the peace and privacy needed to simply enjoy the house and its surroundings.
We would also like to highlight the excellent service from Provence Holidays. From the booking process through to our stay, everything was professional, efficient and very well organised. The communication was excellent and gave us complete peace of mind throughout our holiday.
Most importantly, the care and attention shown by the owner made a real difference. It is clear that this is a house that is loved and looked after, and that feeling comes through in every detail.
We have stayed in many holiday properties, but Domaine des Arts is genuinely one of the most memorable. We would happily return and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it to friends and family.

Mas du Sud - Excellent!!
The house was perfect for our family of four (two adults, two 14-year-olds) during our two-week stay. The house itself is fantastic and the aircon superb - they can't advertise there being aircon downstairs, due to the ducting system being upstairs, but the coolness gets everywhere due to the wonderful design of the house - ideal when we experienced 38c outside temperatures for the majority of our stay.
The outside area is just as impressive with so much room. The pool was perfect and always clean, with the shaded areas being excellent - under the mulberry tree on the comfy sunbeds was a particular favourite spot.
Just a short, pleasant 15-minute walk (flat) from the beautiful town of Saint Remy.
The owners were so helpful and accommodating, and very quick to answer the couple of questions we had.
We would gladly stay here again.

We spent one week in August in Ménerbes…
We spent one week in August in Ménerbes at “ Le mas de fort”
It was an amazing place, very relaxing and quiet place. The mas was incredible, well furnished and equipped. We have been welcome by Krissy who very nice.
The garden and surrounding were magnificent.we really enjoyed our holidays.
I would recommend this place to anyone.

Agency, Staff, Contractors, House.. all going above and beyond!!!
The agency Provence Holidays is by far the best agency, the most full service and the most pleasant people to work with that we have ever experienced. Their complete program meant every moment of our trip was a pleasure from the wonderful house manager, Alexsandra, to Chef Julie from Barigoule who made delicious food for us, and the people in the office who answered my questions throughout the year.
The Maison Matilde was fantastic. Beautiful, right in the center of the village, but quiet and peaceful. Beautifully renovated and decorated with an incredible kitchen, and self contained suites for all our guests. It was immaculate when we arrived and the house manager, Alexsandra made it clear that nothing was too much trouble. We loved her visits and were sad to say goodbye, The air conditioning in the house was a major plus since the temperature were 104 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit most days. The pool was bliss.. large, sparkling and constantly in use by all ages. We loved every moment.
