Quick prototype was needed, expectations exceeded
My local shop did not have the equipment to do a particular one off prototype- Xometry accepted the order, did a great job, and shipped in my expected time frame. Delivery updates were sent manually even when not requested.

Everything was very easy, and the parts looked great.
It would be nice if I could pay the shipping cost at the time of order or online, rather than having to phone it in. There seemed to be confusion after I paid shipping; there were emails asking for shipment payments.

The parts were done well. I ordered 12x and just 1 part had a non conformance. Very easy process with Xometry and you can't beat the turn time or cost.

Sophisticated automated workflow, supported throughout by customer service
I love the automated workflow, Xometry used my CAD files directly without export, and displayed everything it detected: end product, what manufacturing process; I did need an external note for drilling and tapping, but I could even upload different versions to see which was the most manufacturable.
Then during manufacturing there were several variances, and customer service was so easy to deal with; one was my own screw-up, I failed a fit-check and Xometry was able to intercept the order and change out the drawing; another was a misunderstanding at the machine shop that I accepted; another was that my design wasn't manufacturable and a different process was substituted. I was communicating with cognizant representatives all the way through.

Poor Quality - Won't Be Using Again
The items provided were of poor quality, the price & posting times were good so I've given two stars for that only.
Having had these items made by many other companies these were in no way comparible in quality or finish & fell far short of what I was expecting.
They obviously disagreed with me when I complained but the parts I had made were useless & now in the bin!
Lesson learned.

I placed a one item order as a test. Simple order processing. Very competitive pricing if you are willing to wait for international fulfillment. Quality knocked it out of the park. I just placed my second order. If they do the same, I’ll stay with them.
