I contacted Dell last week to find out if a laptop would be back in stock, I was told it would back in stock this week. I contacted Dell again this week and was told again it would be back in this week. I contacted them again as I saw the same laptop with a different OS was in stock. This time I was told it may not be back in stock. I asked for a complaint to be raised as I was misled and subsequently missed other deals waiting on the laptop to come back in. I was lied to and told they would raise the complaint, however when I asked for a reference they could not provide one and admitted they were not raising a complaint. I asked again and I was told their manager, Abhishek said they could not raise a complaint.

It is very difficult to trust a company when they refuse to raise complaints.

I received the laptop on November 18, 2025. After installation, I discovered that the Alienware Center wasn't responding to the LED color change and couldn't program the keyboard buttons (the Alienware Center doesn't offer the option to make any changes). I contacted support on November 19, 2025, but they couldn't resolve the issue. On November 20, 2025 , I decided to return the faulty laptop and used the Dell website for a return (they say returns are easy). Today is April 25, 2025 , and I still haven't received the return instructions. Support couldn't help with the laptop issue, nor with the return, but the strangest thing is that they can't even explain the reason.

Had a damaged monitor delivered on the 6 November, which was clearly courier related because it had a big footprint in the middle of the box. Thought it was going to be easy to get it replaced. Thought wrong. After 3 weeks of delay, they finally contaced me and said i would have to buy a replacement and then they would refund me when they received the damaged one back. Why should i spend more money, when i don't know when or if i would receive my money back. I cannot and will not trust this company ever again. Stopped using them with immediate effect.

Absolutely hopeless delivery service, customer service no better either.

Ordered on 3rd November, delivery attempts made on 13th and 14th November but no-one home so went back to depot. No card left so no idea who is delivering it and no option to re-arrange for another day. Since then the DP World tracking site just says the laptop is at my local delivery depot and it hasn’t been back out for delivery.

Called Dell customer service today (20th November) who spoke to DP World on my behalf. They then told me - with a straight face - that delivery would be “on or before 27th November”. So potentially still another week until it arrives and a total of over 3 weeks to deliver, if it even arrives.

Shame as I’ve always thought Dell made good PCs but their delivery service and customer service is atrocious. All I can suggest is avoiding like the plague, go buy a laptop from a shop where you can take it away same day!

Update: It finally arrived, 24 days after ordering. Won't be buying from Dell again

I am so disappointed. I used to be a Dell fan, but I no longer trust them after my current experience. I'm still sitting with a brand new gaming laptop that shutdown dead on startup. 9 days of being assured that I am getting their full attention. Hah! Next time I will be going to a shop.

I just can't stop my laptop from flattening its battery. The default software configuration simply doesn't work, and there is no easy way to make it go to sleep and stay asleep when I close the lid. This is basic stuff that Dell has failed at.
I've disabled Modern Standby. I've changed what the lid and power buttons do.
On top of that the battery life is terrible. Three hours compared to my old laptop's nine.
Then there is the cheap horrible trackpad that would be OK in a cheap laptop, but not in the Precision models. Even the keyboard layout isn't as good as the old ones.

Dell services is not worth a star. I wish I could give no star. I have been using the Dell monitor S2421HS for two years and it is still in warranty. It could not be switched on recently and have some noise. I contacted them and they said tear and wear. I followed their step to use another power cable to test and it could be switched on. They still don't get it repair. It is waste of money to use Dell products

Dell delivery service is one of the worst, I ordered a laptop in 11 November 2025 which should have been delivered next day and not given time frame of delivery. They said they tried delivery and no access. There was no document left for redelivery or any time frame to rebook. Delivery order tracking system says, they tried several times to delivery and returned back to original warehouse.

So frustrated that this was birthday gift and wanted to cancel order which dell advised that refund would take minimum 10 business working day.

I do not have an option apart from reschedule delivery which is almost after 2 weeks of first order.

I would not buy from Dell in the future.

Sent laptop of to them for a broken plastic base they wanted to replace just about everything and charge £550 for the work as e qualified engineer myself I know when I'm being conned created hell with them and they agreed to send an engineer on site, to replace the plastic base, The LCD screen has subsequely got broken £63 for oem on website but dell say no the whole top needs to be replaced, if they hadn't completely destroyed my laptop in the first place I could have fixed it myself

computers have taken over and when you do manage to get a cs person who cant understand what you say. Judging by all the other reviews it seems that is the Dell standard, by no means the exceptional agents they promise on their non functioning lines

I had a problem with my computer well it was the battery so I ordered a new battery from Dell rather than possibly a Chinese copy,I ordered a battery on Thursday of this week it's now Friday and still no battery so a promise from a big company like Dell I'd have been better to order from Amazon I would have got it the next day.

I would strongly advise everyone to avoid purchasing from Dell.co.uk.

After changing the email address on my account, I’ve completely lost access to all my previous orders and product history. Despite multiple attempts to get help, Dell’s support systems have made it impossible to resolve this. You can’t contact anyone without a Service Tag — which, of course, I can’t access because all my past orders have disappeared. It’s a complete chicken-and-egg situation, and Dell offers no real support or resolution.

Their complaints team is equally unhelpful. I was sent a generic set of steps to follow, which made absolutely no difference. It feels like a complete waste of time dealing with them — no ownership, no escalation, and no proper way to get your issue resolved.

In 2025, it’s unbelievable that such a large tech company has such poor customer systems and communication channels. There are plenty of other companies out there that sell similar products and provide 100 times better support and contact options.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind — buy elsewhere.

Quickly arranged a service technician to come and fix my problem (even though it was not covered by warranty!)

Needed a new gaming laptop and after A LOT of research settle for a Alienware 18 Area51. Easy to spec on website and smooth checkout process. Kept well informed my Dell during ordering and building process.
Laptop took TWO weeks to be delivered. Came very well packaged in custom box. Looked stunning and felt very well built. Took a couple of days to set up with downloads of updates, games, Office, antiviral software etc. and speaker drivers were corrupt so had to be uninstalled and downloaded again.
A week in, the laptop has not missed a beat. Works effortlessly with all games, word processing, web browsing, video downloads etc. Keeps cool and never feels over hot.
Positives: Looks great, well built, keeps cool, handles all tasks.
Negatives: Heavy (very) for a laptop, poor quality speakers, very few laptop bags can accommodate it!
Now the Flaw: Dell provides free delivery and uses DP World as its global shipping partner. They are appalling! Tracking provided after two days by Dell never once updated in the following 11 DAYS I was waiting. Only when the laptop entered the UK and passed into the hands of a local courier did I get real time tracking. Dell does not even offer the ability during checkout to "upgrade" to a more reliable carrier.
On balance, would certainly recommend a Dell gaming laptop but certainly not the way it currently delivers your purchase!

Purchased a Dell Pc and also paid for support to move the programs and data. I also ask them to move the SDD card fron my old to new PC. I was in hospital when this was completed but I now have a PC with no SDD drive and is using an external backup drive for all my data. Called today to try and sort out the issue and was promised a call back in 1 hour, 7 hours later no mail or call. I have used Dell for 30 years but will not be doing it again.

On 6th June 2025, I purchased a Dell Inspiron 16+ laptop for £689.80 and was promised delivery within 7 working days. Despite numerous chase-ups, the delivery didn't arrive until 23rd June. The package was covered in WET grey paint and the driver tried to disguise this and get me to sign. I refused the item and contacted Dell. They promised to sort this out with their agents. Despite numerous calls again, the original damaged item was offered for delivery again to me! I asked for a replacement and was told one would be air-freighted to me. A complete lie on behalf of Dell Inc. In the end, despite numerous assurances that my situation would be resolved satisfactorily.I was informed to either accept this one or pay £400.00 more for something similar but better. I wasn't prepared to extend my budget. I have to say that Dell is appalling with after-sales help or service once they have your money. I would not have purchased if they had been honest and said it's not 7-day delivery but 7 weeks. I should have listened to my senses and bought from Asus, speedy delivery and a very good products. I won't be buying from Dell again. I have all the supporting emails and Dell fail to live up to their promises of reaching a satisfactory conclusion. They choose to ignore you and hope you get fed up and give up

Purchased a laptop online, paid in full .. then the emails started with them wanting further information to complete the sale. I didn’t understand what they were asking and couldn’t contact a human to clarify what information they wanted to complete the sale prior to shipping. In the end I cancelled the £700 order and now I’m waiting for a full refund. I will go into a computer shop once the money is back in my account.

Ordered a keyboard which turns out not to be the right one (my fault), but been told I can't return or exchange it because I changed the order type at checkout to a business order. Definitely won't be getting the correct replacement from Dell

I ordered a new laptop a little over £800. DHL has had it for some time. Out for delivery on the 27th Nov did not arrive, out for delivery 28th Nov did not arrive, new notice saying it is coming tomorrow 29th. When it does arrive I will be sending it back immediately under my statutory rights. After reading many reviews about Dell and DHL they are both totally unreliable. Silly me I should have read the reviews first.
