Poor quality product and awful service
Wish I'd visited Trustpilot before buying... I trusted them because my employer does, but this was a big mistake.
We bought a £1200 laptop, reasonably high-end for a work laptop for my wife's new business. It was barely used for 3 months given she hadn't started, just me logging in for setting it up. Then after 3 months of regular use, the screen cracked when my wife opened it. Nothing unusual, normal finger pressure exerted from the top centre of the screen, and a loud crack sound occurred rendering the screen completely useless.
Several back and forth exchanges with the repairs team later, they still maintain this is "Customer Induced Damage" and because there is no recurring issue reported here, it can't have been a manufacturing flaw. I'm sure this will be logged as customer induced damage and therefore when the next claim for a similar flaw occurs, their system will also say there is no recurring issue. Funnily enough, there is nothing in the user manuals recommending you don't open the monitor in this particular fashion, so I have no idea how they can believe this is a defensible position. We declined their offer of £700 for a new screen (over half the price of the laptop!) and will go with a local repair company instead, who I'm sure will at least give some sort of decent guarantee for their work.
I have never had such awful service from an apparently respected tech company. I will never use them again, period, and strongly recommend that no-one else does. I will be looking for every possible means to escalate this as I believe they are in clear breach of their guarantee.

I will never recommend any Lenovo product to anyone. I bought a laptop which is still under warranty. The hinge of the laptop gave way at some point and I have to report it to Lonovo customer service for them to tell me I have to pay for repairs. They have caused me so much distress. If there is anything link negative star, that's what they deserve. I regret purchasing from Lenovo.

Awesome Customer services
I had some big problems with my laptop that hadn't been upgraded for 4 years, it was a Arm64 windows build. With windows offering very little support Lenovo gave me the links and software to get it up to date. Admittedly it was a challenge and could be far more simple I still think they deserve the 5 stars. Choosing Lenovo in the future is far more likely for me.

Our All In One home computer suddenly packed up after 4 years slow use.
Contacting Lenovo is impossible.
We have had HP and Dell in the past with no problems.
I will definitely not buy Lenovo again.

No acknowledgement of receipt of item, no timescale for refund, nothing.
Never expected this from a company as big as Lenovo. Genuinely shocked at them.
Never buy a Lenovo product
Never buy a Lenovo product, especially as a student. I bought one of the Yoga Lenovo laptops last year. The keyboard failed within warranty (if nothing else, their laptops are poor and faulty and I would never recommend them for this reason alone). I sent my laptop for repair, and, since I am a student, I asked how long it will take, because I struggle without it. They said 7-10 days. It is now day 21, and they have informed me the part to complete the repair will still be unavailable for another 7 days. Because of this, I am unable to complete exams. I will have moved back to university by then, even if they end up sending my laptop back next week. I informed them they are in violation of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which they ignored. I am now taking them to small claims court and I encourage anyone else dealing with Lenovo's appalling customer service and Consumer Rights violations to do the same. I want to make as many people aware of this as possible so that people stop buying from this awful company - please don't do it!
Conned out of £900 by Lenovo for faulty product
Bought a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q for £1,230 — it arrived completely dead on arrival.
After wasting time on diagnostics, Lenovo confirmed it was faulty and agreed to send a replacement. I returned the unit as instructed… only to be told (with zero communication) that my order had been cancelled due to a “parts shortage” — despite the same PC being available online at nearly double the price (£2,126).
Customer service then twice assured me (on recorded calls) that if I reordered, they would price match my original purchase.
So I did exactly that.
Now Lenovo are refusing to honour that agreement — leaving me nearly £900 out of pocket for their faulty product.
This has been:
-Poor communication
-Misleading advice from multiple staff
-Failure to honour agreed resolution
-A clear breach of basic consumer rights expectations
I’m now paying interest on a mistake caused entirely by Lenovo.
Extremely disappointing experience — especially given this came from a company that promotes “premium support”.
Avoid unless you’re prepared for serious aftersales issues.
Very fast turnaround repair
I had a positive experience with Lenovo support overall.
My Lenovo LOQ developed a serious fault and sparked, with a smell of smoke, before failing to power on. Once I reported this, Lenovo responded promptly and handled it in a professional and reassuring way. They made it clear that safety was the priority, advised me not to try powering the laptop on again, and quickly explained what they needed from me next to move the case forward.
The communication was polite and helpful, and I appreciated that they treated the issue seriously rather than dismissing it as routine troubleshooting.
My only criticism is that, after repair, it appeared the motherboard had been replaced but the SSD had not been reset properly for the new hardware, which caused a problem activating Windows 11. I was able to sort this myself by restoring it to factory settings and going through the first boot setup again, but a less technical user might have struggled with that.
Even with that issue, I was impressed with how seriously Lenovo took the original fault and how professionally they handled the case.
Purchased Lenovo IdeaPad in January…
Purchased Lenovo IdeaPad in January 2025, the warranty just expired and now the screen can't close properly - it is a hardware fault, but reading all the other reviews it seems suspicious how things go wrong shortly after the warranty expires. The communication with Lenovo, it sends you round in circles with virtual assistants, which is not helpful - only directs you to expensive warranty reinstation - but reading other reviews, this is probably a waste of money, if there is no guarantee they actually repair the fault to a satisfactory result...and lasting result. Not happy. Thought they were suppose to be a reputable company.
Lenovo are without doubt the worst…
Lenovo are without doubt the worst company I've ever dealt with.
The drama I had to go through to get a refund was beyond belief, taking a total of seven weeks. If you're ever thinking of buying something from this company, my advice would be a definite no.
If something goes wrong, you're just going to be left in the lurch with hopeless and incompetent customer service who border on, in my opinion, the criminal for their dishonesty.
Finally got my refund after 7 weeks of pure agony. Steer clear at all costs.
Lenovo and Laptops Direct misled me with a cashback offer
Lenovo and Laptops Direct misled me on their website in that I could claim £75 cashback from Lenovo as a business customer if I purchased a Lenovo Laptop computer from them. Doing so is not as easy as Laptops Direct's website would have people believe. Having supplied all the relevant information to Lenovo to prove beyond doubt that I am a legitimate UK business, I repeatedly kept getting fobbed off by Lenovo requesting more information. Lenovo now refuse to issue any £75 cashback because Laptops Direct put my name and not my business's name - even though my name is part of the business name - on the original invoice, despite me since providing proof that I am a legitimate business owner and the invoice was paid from my business account. Lenovo have asked for an invoice in the business name but Laptops Direct are now refusing to reissue the invoice in my business name. Using misleading offers gives both Laptops direct and Lenovo an unfair advantage over other sellers who do not use these underhand sales tactics.
Awful customer service.
I ordered a Lenovo Legion computer on the 14th of November, which I then proceeded to return a couple of weeks later because it didn't meet my requirements.
I returned the computer via Yodel, one of their logistics providers, and deposited the computer in the shop that was a partner shop with Yodel. Because it made me feel uncomfortable that there was not a clear custody chain for a very valuable item such as a computer that was deposited effectively in a basket in a corner of the partner shop after receiving the receipt for the computer. I also took a video of me putting the computer in the box, checking that it was there when I closed the box, and then depositing the computer on the basket in the corner of the shop.
A couple of weeks later I received the refund for the software portion of the order. Some ancillary software that I had purchased with a computer but I never received the refund with a computer, which was £1,000 plus. I called customer support many times and it took them at least a couple of months to locate the computer. They didn't know if the logistics provider had returned it or not. They couldn't find it in their warehouses, etc. and when it appeared nearly three months later in the month of March, they found that the box was filled with scraps, not with the computer itself.
Of course having had such a poor custody chain, meaning that the computer was left unattended in a basket in the corner shop. Again this was after me delivering and getting a receipt so this is Yodel's responsibility and therefore Lenovo is accountable for this because they selected Yodel as a partner for logistics. Also it could have been stolen while in Yodel's and/or Lenovo's warehouses, given that the box was essentially missing for three months.
I have kept on calling the customer support services for three or four months and have now basically provided the evidence that I captured, including the receipt for sending the computer and the video of me packing the computer in the box and putting it in the corner of the shop. So far I have not received a refund and they have not confirmed whether they would provide a refund or not. It's been at least two or three weeks since the box was found and the evidence was provided.
I'd expect a refund to be provided, given that I fulfilled the return process correctly and the computer was returned correctly. I think Lenovo is accountable for this. At the very least if Lenovo is not able to guarantee that custody chain via the logistics partner Yodel, they provide a disclaimer about this so that we can sort of take the necessary action on our end to choose the safest return option.
Overall this is absolutely terrible customer support from Lenovo.
Avoid Lenovo at all costs.
Appalling company. Like everyone else here, the hardware is of terrible quality and yet the Warranty seems to cover nothing.
Our laptop suffered from loose and then non-working keys within two months of purchase, but Lenovo has claimed it's "Customer Induced Damage" (completely untrue) and not covered under warranty. They have also claimed we signed away our rights in law when we bought the laptop. This is actually incorrect and illegal, because you cannot waive your consumer rights in law.
The customer service experience is horrible and their build quality is absolutely awful.
If you read the rest of the reviews here, it's hard to conclude it is anything but a scam company.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Pity I cannot give a Zero score
I had a Lenovo Chromebook which was barely 10 months old on which the hinge broke away from the lid. I contacted Lenovo and over several emails and they said that this was not covered under their warranty. This was despite me reminding them that under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 "Goods should be of satisfactory quality and should be fit for particular purpose". I suggested that the Chromebook was neither of these but they still refused to even look at the device. I wonder what they do cover under their warranty?
Poor communication, outsourced, lack of direction
The returns process for a product under warranty is extremely bad. Poor communication, unreasonably slow. In fact, nearly a week on they still can't send me out the details of the return process and for a company this size its acting like a small operator. Quite embarrassing really. I would not buy their products again, I have gone to MSI, much better communicaiton.

quality not fit for purpose.
Purchased a Lenovo laptop 18 months ago, for personal use so doesn't get a great deal of use. This week it literally fell apart on my lap, hinge broke, screen frame came away and then the screen fell out. Called customer service, they were not interested. I expect a laptop structurally to last a lot longer than 18 months making the construction quality clearly not fit for purpose.
