Dreadful, don't buy

This unit has been a problem since intallation 3 years ago and now BP have removed the app that controls it and the web log in does not work so I can't reschedule it or change its set hours. Avoid.

I would first like to thank you for your time today over the phone discussing your recent Trustpilot review you left us regarding your homecharge unit. As discussed, we’re winding down the bp pulse home charging service. The last day of support was the 5th of November 2025. From that date, the bp pulse app and cloud services for home charging will no longer be available.

I can confirm we can remove the smart scheduling on your charge unit. Please let me know if you wish for us to perform this action for you. I look forward to hearing with you soon.

Friendly and Helpful Call Centre Staff

Had problems with my charger (user error), called the help number and B (as in Carlisle) helped me disconnect my car and rebooted the charger and got me charging again. My wife and I then had a nice drink while we waited at the local pub while the car charged! I guess this is the new date nights for those with electric cars. 😂

Have found BP pulse to the best…

Have found BP pulse to the best charging company on the main . However recently visited Birmingham NEC and fully charge my car which took 1 hour and 45 mins as I had a two plus hour journey home . Now received a £100 fine for over staying (have been told there was a sign saying max stay 1 hour .. I did not see any signs ) how can this be acceptable? I have appealed the fine on the grounds I was charging my car and did not see any signs plus at the time there was loads of empty bays . This is just a pure greedy money trap and is disgusting grubbing parasitic behaviour and the authorities that allow this to go on should be ashamed of themselves .Richard Turpin would be proud .

I’d had given a 5 star review but…

I’d had given a 5 star review but recently I found The transition to your new system somewhat arduous. My account was deactivated then reactivated and still had problems which are ongoing. I’m now having to pay the higher rate due to this transition. Hopefully we can get things back to normal sooner rather than later.

BP Pulse do not care about home charge customers and just abandon them

Any one who purchased BP Pulse home charger will know the crap support, the sell you the concept, all shiny and great and security due to who BP are, not true, as soon as the 3 year warranty ran out, the product was not only not supported but no longer functioned, what other product does that, now user will have to source another charger spending circa another £1,000, and the customer is just responded to in a tough luck attitude,

Your answer is no good to me as my car does not have this function so I have to wait for off peak hour to plug in to benefit, so 3 years of product working correctly for a £1000 not good value

I have reviewed your case regarding your home charge unit. I can confirm that we are winding down the bp pulse home charging service for those that are out of the warranty period. Our App/cloud-based scheduling has now been discontinued. To keep benefiting from cheaper off-peak rates, set up a schedule via your vehicle local schedule (if supported), or your energy supplier’s app.

I can, however, understand that this is not your desired outcome towards your case. And for this, I apologise.

Awful app keeps crashing

Awful app keeps crashing
Can only pay through app so if its down you can not charge your car have had endless issues with them .
So definitely will not use again .

The experience was purley based on how…

The experience was purley based on how the handler dealt with my call. he was lovely and solved the issue with the machine requiring re booted. HOWEVER the BP machines must be the second most unreliable charging service i have ever attended. second to charge place scotland.

A very helpful experience to be able to…

A very helpful experience to be able to get a problem charge point back online for my long journey home. Very polite and also waited to ensure the charge point was fully operational and charging. Nice to be able to speak to a real person, not AI generated or message prompting, so added a nice touch to worries where I could get a charge. Charge Card worked flawlessly when the point was up and running, so overall a great experience.
