Incredible. I use EV’s on a daily basis, until I found this location I hated EV’s because the network is 3rd world. Now I’ve found GRIDSERVE fast charge, my life has changed overnight. I arrived, charged and left on my merry way, noticed my email, they sent me the receipt. 1sf class, 23rd century brilliant it’s the future.

Easy and quick to activate the charger
Easy and quick to activate the charger. I find it helpful and interesting seeing the battery percentage and charging speed on the app. I wish a receipt was available to download immediately after so I can claim charging expenses.
Amazing Support
As a new ev owner I rang the Gridserve number with a query as to my charging session. The phone call was answered quickly and I have never experienced such courteous , helpful and understanding support. Amazing and worthy of 5+ stars.

GRIDSERVE is soooo.. slow
GRIDSERVE never provides the rapid change 'promised'. My vehicle arrives pre-conditioned and is capable of 300kW charging. Your charger says 400kW and is Not being 'shared'. However the best rate I've ever had is 120kW and usually significantly lower than that.
I have charged at 250kW and above on other UK networks.
I am far from impressed with GRIDSERVE in this regard (expensive too!).

First attempt to charge failed and needed to click “retry” in App. Difficult to do this at same time as supporting plug but then successfully charged. Find Gridserve chargers are only ones that need this (common problem as this is part of instructions that are displayed on gridserve chargers)
M42 Hopwood Park services
M42 Hopwood Park services. Had to struggle for 5 minutes to get app login as it decided I needed to revalidate my email address. Ended up needing code sent 3 times before I could enter it successfully. Then charging was only at 24kW speed! Moved 50 yards to use Applegreen chargers that were cheaper and running at 45kW (probably higher but that was the max for my car). Gridserve need to do better here.

The location is perfect as near to where I live. The chargers always work. Using the app is easy & if you are away from your vehicle you get a notification to say when charging is almost finished
Ronald from Gridserve deserves a raise!
I used Gridserve as the first Electric Highway Charger and I have to say I am very impressed with the ease of use. Unfortunately, I did not ask for a receipt at the time and have recently come to need it. I also forgot the location at which I stopped at to charge while on a long journey. I contacted Gridserve for assistance through their chat option and was put through to Ronald who went out of his way to locate and provide me an offical VAT invoice for a charge I did 7 months ago!! Thanks so much Ronald and Gridserve! Will certainly be using them again!
CHARGER/App GLITCHES
Whilst using the gridserve app I had difficulty connecting to the first charger. I had to move to a second charger and when I tried to connect the app told me that I already a charge running on the previous machine. This is not an ideal situation to be in especially when I'd been driving for nearly 3 hours and desperately needed the toilet. Fortunately the helpline was answered and problem resolved. Very expensive charge too, unlike when I first used gridserve just over 4 years ago. In future I will only use gridserve as a last resort.
