After a couple of tething troubles on first usage the system work well and the app updated with relevant information. My one sticking point is the high pre authorization of £60 per every use is a bit excessive for a multi national company given other providers are remarkably lower. Using a number of times over a number of days leaves a fair drain on your bank account.
Thanks for reply, now understand the process I am awaing the card, however I thought the app was acting as the same as card. Obviously must have been my misunderstanding.

Pulled off the motorway at Oldbury in Birmingham, rocked up to the charger and it wouldn’t connect and a charge wouldn’t begin.
Spoke to the helpline, lady that answered
was incredibly helpful, polite and knowledgable and I was charging in no time at all.
Turns out the issue was the unit.

8 chargers at tamworth. None working but no error messages displayed. Tried 2 machines with pay by card with no success. Then dowloaded app to see if that would work, but it didnt. 3 other drivers tried and left in this time. Eventually called the helpline and the guy was helpful and reset the unit. But this is a premium price being paid, id expect them to know if the machines were not working.

Finally had enough!
Firstly I must state that the helpline staff are excellent and do all they can to help.
However, the remainder of the charging service is now very poor.
RFID card doesn't work, the app has its moments and connectivity is appaling.
I travel a lot for work and on stay overs at hotels try to plug in overnight. Great when it's Osprey and some other companies but for the last couple of years I have approached BP chargers with dread! Will it work, will coms work? On several occasions no! Meaning , time out of your working day.
BP for me is the last resort and I will travel past them to get to a more reliable competitor.
Yesterday was the last straw! Pulled up at a hotel for a meeting, tried to connect to two chargers; with card and app, no joy, it tried but failed with the app. Rang the helpline who had a go! Oh, it must be a coms issue it was OK two days ago. So , five hours when it could be charging car just sat there! During our first coffe break i went on the BP app and cancelled my subrcription.Found a charger later (not BP) and had to just sit there while it charged.
This is not restricted to a particular area, it's national.
So many better chargers out there in a similar price bracket.

I’m not one for reviews but have to flag the excellent service I received from both Kaseem & Julia in the BP Pulse Customer Care Team. My issue was dealt with promptly & professionally in a friendly manner & to my complete satisfaction

I have a home charger with this company and have used their public network. I have had nothing but problems with it. The home charger is useless they have lied about my install date to shorten my warranty i offered proof of this and they wouldn't hear it. I am now left without facilities to charge. I used a public charger of theirs and it charged me double 3 months in still tryjng to get my money back. Customer service is none existent.

Broke, again after an incomplete charge. Hugely expensive and wouldn't provide a receipt unless I provided a credit card image. Cc dont allow you to do that so had to write it off. Avoid BP for the many other options.

Because the amount of money you have taken out of my account like £60 and I am very annoyed about this because every time I use BP Plus it only charges me £25 because I get a 20% discount and I am very annoyed about the way that I have to charge my electric car because I never used to charge it like this. I used to go to a VP Plus and put my card on it and it would register register because I have a prescription and then it starts charging but this time the app wouldn’t work and needed an update, which has been done but the actual charging station with down on all of them so I couldn’t do what I had to do with it properly very annoyed but thank you for helping me out at the same time bless

Absolute rip off con artists. Unwittingly signed up for charging but when realised error tried to cancel which was a nightmare. Very difficult to contact. And when contact made, very unhelpful and dismissive. Finally got email confirmation that account had been cancelled. Then today a threatening letter from a company called Debtist demanding an outstanding payment with further debt repercussions!!
Avoid this company like the plague.

I had an incredible experience with today.Antony went above and beyond to help me with my charging issue . I was feeling frustrated, but their patience and expertise turned everything around. It is rare to find such high-quality service these days. I highly recommend them!

App wouldnt work. Couldn't associate cards despite numerous attempts, and Couldn't pull up orevious cards
Had to call the helpline. Helpline were very good. Directed me throught the website, which worked. But i was there for c25 mins trying to fux the issue...
