Took over a month to get refund after product never turned up

Bought earbuds to arrive by the 18th Dec, nothing turned up. Then was promised the items by the 23rd.
Late in the day I got an email to say this product won't be coming until the 31st. I did request a refund on the 23rd Dec 2024, I never got my money back until 30th Jan. This is the very short version after hours of trying to sort out including going on X and Facebook

Invested in BOSE - never again

I ordered a BOSE base module 700 on 23rd December to compliment a recently purchased soundbar and pair of surround speakers. As of 6th February it still has not arrived. No updates from BOSE at all. I have called their customer support twice, waiting 45 mins on the first occasion and over 1 hour on the second. I was told the product would arrive by 5th February - well it hasn’t. Order No WH26586939

Poor quality control, poor customer service

I recently purchased some QC Ultra earbuds and received a faulty pair. They sound distorted, hiss constantly and make buzzing and beeping sounds in the left ear. I reached out to customer service expecting a fairly simple and fair resolution, but instead I was told I'd have to wait up to 4 weeks for a replacement to be sent out after I send my faulty pair back, despite the fact that Bose offer express 2-day delivery on their online store. I opted for a refund.

After speaking to other customers online it seems that these issues are very common. Bose are clearly not performing proper quality control checks on their expensive products before bringing them to market.

After saving up for these earbuds, I was excited to try a premium product, but unfortunately there was nothing premium about the quality or service I received.

Bose Customer since 1985 - Never Again

Both my daughter and I Purchased this item. Separately. I did not use the item very much as I had problems retaining the Headphones in the ear. First Failure. After significant use My Daughters set needed battery replacement. BOSE policy "Built in Obsolescence" refuses to replace batteries. I then passed my set for her use whilst running. They lasted for 2 weeks until materiel failure, Right Hand earbud switch failed, (Broke Off), in normal use. Requests for assistance to Bose UK with Photographs via online service contact email. Totally ignored by BOSE. Request for assistance reasonable and not in any way rude or insulting. Service Unsatisfactory for what is a very poor piece of equipment. Product: Unsatisfactory -not of merchantable quality. Service: Unsatisfactory - Too difficult to undertake volume of failures? Design: Fragile and with inability replace batteries designed for failure. A wholly poor value item.

I ordered an ultra smart soundbar I set…

I ordered an ultra smart soundbar I set it up , it was crackling from the speaker. Bose customer service said I can send back for a repair or a refund. I said I wanted a replacement they said I can only have it repaired. So I had a refund. I would not recommend Bose especially the money I paid for the soundbar. The Bose customer service is very poor for a large well known company.

All A Con

Bought a pair of Earbuds just under a year ago. Product was fine but not the quality I would have expected and charging case broke a couple of weeks. Reached out to Bose who told me to send back for a replacement, which I did. When I hadn't heard anything from them, I checked on line to see that the exchange had been cancelled without anyone contacting me. Phoned up and they said that the return package was empty! Clearly this was not the case when I sent them off. Customer Service is not really interested in the fact that either their agent (UPS) or their staff have either stolen or lost my earbuds. It is now my problem and they are refusing to do anything else. I get no sense that they care, which is evidenced by the fact I am wating my time here as they never respond to TrustPilot reviews

Ordered the full home cinema system 900…

Ordered the full home cinema system 900 and it said on the website that if you ordered before a certain time, you would get the product by Friday (a certain date) I’m still on ‘in process’ and now gone past that day! Been in contact with customer services and they just keep saying they will help but no actions happening! Will be cancelling order if I have to wait another week and save money and buy a rival sound system instead! Don’t feel confident with all the other poor reviews on here

Soundbar faulty

Soundbar faulty, eventually received the correct return label, after 3 phones call, the customer address 11 years out of date. Trip to UPS drop off only to be told they can't use QR codes, 11 miles later, on the phone to Bose, another non speaking English person who didn't understand. After 30 minutes on the phone they eventually sent a label, 11 miles later its at the UPS dropoff. Rang Bose 4 days later to be told they have received it and that we would receive an email within 48 hours with replacement soundbar tracking details, no email received, rang on thursday only to be told they received it on wednesday and a replacement would be sent in 5 weeks. All bose assisants non English speaking. What an absolute shit service this is. Never again will we buy Bose.

Is Bose going bust?

Previously a repeat customer of Bose, having spent thousands of pounds, I’ll not be back. Ordered a set of QC Ultras for upcoming travel, they were scheduled to arrive too late (despite repeated promises they would be with me on time) turned around the delivery and nearly a month and a half later I’m still waiting for my refund despite hastening. Bose have even taken their customer service number offline!

Bose Support Failure

I contacted Bose to ask about fixing the CD element of my waveform. I was told it was beyond repair because it was old (2012)! They obviously want customers to buy new instead, which was suggested. They must use cheap components for them to fail yet they are marketed as a quality item.I will never buy a Bose again. By contrast my old Technics system (1979)is still going strong and has never needed repair.

Further, I got a local electronics engineer to fix my Bose. The power supply had failed. Cost: £88 .00

Gross incompetence and lies

If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Bose. I ordered from them on 16/01/2025 and attempted to cancel the order the same day. Bose refused to cancel, even though the package hadn’t shipped yet. UPS confirmed Bose could have stopped the shipment at any time, but they chose not to and said they couldn't do it.

Despite four recorded attempts on the UPS tracking to return to sender, the package took a week-long sightseeing tour across Europe and the UK, wasting resources and causing delays—all because Bose refused to act. Their customer service repeatedly lied, contradicted themselves, and shifted blame. When the item finally returned to them, I was told I’d need to wait 2–3 weeks for a refund, despite this mess being entirely their fault.

Their "solution"? A useless 10% discount for future orders. No accountability, no urgency, and no respect for customers. Bose used to be a premium brand, but their service is now bottom-tier. Save yourself the headache—shop elsewhere.

Sleep buds that have been refurbished a couple of times but then were returned still not working
Agreed a refund in December’24 but as of yesterday still waiting and apparently another 5 days to process !! That’s even after a credit not issued after Christmas saying 5 days to process. This service is shocking

Customer Service a waste of time!

1 star given so that it was possible to rewrite a review. Had the misfortune to have to contact Bose Customer Support/chat. Having provided the necessary details to identify my product, I was connected to an ‘agent’ who took 25mins to copy and paste the ‘troubleshooting’ suggestions, which I’d already tried, to eventually tell me that they could offer me a paid replacement because my item had been discontinued. Something that could have been confirmed within 60 seconds…Complete Waste of Time

Don’t buy - expensive unreliable

Don’t, just don’t buy a Bose product. I’ve had multiple Bose headphones and they’ve all had issues. The expensive QC ultras were the final staw - endless problems including no sound after hibernation needing resetting. My guess is they’ve outsourced the firmware to the lowest bidder overseas - it’s terrible

Faulty headphones replacement delayed

I returned my faulty headphones which were still covered by the warranty. Bose assured me that they would replace them within 4 weeks of receiving the faulty headphones.

It's now over 5 weeks since they received the faulty headphones, but they are still yet to receive the new headphones to the warehouse, let alone dispatch them to me. They told me it will be a further 4-6 weeks before they I will receive them.

I am now left without headphones for nearly 2 months.

Terrible service.

There are no words to express the…

There are no words to express the inconvenience this company has caused me the last couple of weeks.! The 1 star simply is not representing the low review I would like to put for this company.
Product has been returned from there 23rd December, since then spoken with the customer service 3 times and with the online chat. First time reassuring me that the last day of refund would be the 8th January, second time they told me 10/01/25 and now third time they gave me a window of 8-10 days more than the original 8-10 working days for the refund to arrive. In other words refund around the 20th January for a product that reached them from the 23rd December. Which other company does this ? Unacceptable delays.

What awful customer service

What awful customer service. Like many others on here, ordered some headphones, received no status update and cannot get any useful information from the online chat. The product I ordered is now out of stock, so I'd be surprised if they're able to fulfil order. Never ordered from Bose before and just assumed they would be amazing. Won't use them again.

Edit 17/01/25: still no further to getting my headphones. Hilariously, I was sent an email saying there was a problem with my payment and zero stock of the model I'd chosen. I then called them to see what on earth is going on. The agent told me to ignore the email and wait for delivery on the 21st. What is going on with this company?

I plan to send everything back to Bose and choose a different manufacturer. Absolutely ridiculous.

Edit 20/01/25: Out of stock and the order isn't coming hahahahahaha.

Ordered these on sale for £179.95. They were on offer for the same price at John Lewis and Amazon, so I've missed out. £319.00 now. I actually don't care, I'd be worried something might go wrong with them and I'd have to navigate their customer service again.

Headphones never arrived

Ordered headphones as a Christmas gift .Totally disgusted by the customer service from Bose who have now shut the case , as they said they was delivered .
I have ring cameras and It didn’t pick up any movements at my property.
I will never order direct from Bose again .
Or if I will even ever buy another Bose product if that’s the attitude to their customers.
Meanwhile I’m a few hundred pounds out of pocket .

Bose order never arrived

Ordered Bose headphones delivery date 6th January. Unfortunately never arrived. Both Bose and UPS give you a load of excuses but will not give a new delivery date. They keep telling you to wait another 1or 2 days. Shocking service from both companies. If people stop buying Bose online and stop using UPS perhaps this might give them the incentive to start delivering the products on time instead of messing their customers about. I won’t be using either company’s again. I will not buy from any company that uses UPS
