We are very sorry to learn your hotel didn't meet your expectations on this occasion.
In reference to your room - it saddens us this wasn't to your satisfaction, we do kindly urge guests to please notify us immediately of any issues whatsoever so they can be rectified there and then, another more suitable room may have been offered to you once made aware of your dissatisfaction subject to availability, the team will always do everything they can to make your stay the best it can be. I do see that unfortunately no issues were raised by yourselves at the time after checking our handover logs.
Food at the Royal Hotels usually receives excellent comments - we do have a restaurant supervisor on duty at each meal time, should there be any problems please raise at the time and replacement dishes / suitable alternatives would be arranged immediately. With regards to your comment on there not being enough food - with a choice of up to 3 starters, 3 main courses plus vegetarian option and salads plus 3 deserts nightly - we feel there is ample choice however should there still be nothing suitable on our nightly menu - please speak with a member of the team who will be more thank happy to help.
We do hope you are not deterred from staying at the Royal Hotels again in the future, with five hotels in the Royal Hotels group there is plenty of choice for a wonderful Blackpool Holiday.

Room quite small but clean & adequate , queue for breakfast if eating after 8.30am, lifts take a wee while to come especially at meal times the only 2 people per lift max

We are very happy that on the whole you had an enjoyable holiday with us.
In regards to your room - unfortunately our standard rooms are not identical in floor space and vary in both size and style - we do however have great Premier rooms available for a small upgrade supplement which offer a little more luxury - these may be something to consider for a future holiday with us?
The hotel does have breakfast traffic posters on display stating that during busy periods there may be slight wait times in our restaurant so we do advise to visit the restaurant earlier or after these busy times to avoid delays.
The lifts at the hotel comfortably accommodate 2 persons at a time which is adequate for the size of hotel and number of guests staying with us.

Good location
When we arrived we were allocated a small room (more like a single ) which was not good, we could not have a shower it kept coming of the wall very time you put it on, and our friends room was just as small but with no shower, we did speak to reception and couple of days later we got moved and the rest of the week was fine. Breakfast was okay but the evening meal was a bit repetitive okay if you stay for 2/3 nights but over the week you were getting the same meals repeated so we when out a couple of times for a meal, the entertainment was good, and the staff were wonderful keep up the good work, yes I would go back but I would make sure that we get one of the refurbished room and bed and breakfast only.

We travelled with Blackpool promotions…
We travelled with Blackpool promotions for a 4 day break, leaving the Monday until the Friday. Bus journey down was good. The bus was ok, there was an unclean smell within the bus and some seats needed deep cleaned ( as myself and daughter found out having sat on seats that had obviously been weed on and therefore transfered onto our clothes). Driver was great and friendly on both journeys!. Hotel was fab, staff very welcoming on arrival and room ready for us. Only downfall on room was being right next to the lift which was a bit noisy. Meals were lovely, waitresses and waiters couldn't do enough for you, changing sitting times to accommodate us and our plans one day!. The bar staff friendly and helpful. Entertainment was fantastic, every night bingo then 2 fabulous acts to watch, listen and join in with. Having tram and bus passes were a godsend as you did not have to worry about the long walk everyday!! The illuminations were beautiful to see! Would definitely use Blackpool promotions in the future!.

We do apologise sincerely for the issues regarding the cleanliness of the seats, we have passed this on to the coach operator with whom you travelled to Blackpool with to ensure all seats on the coaches are cleaned thoroughly.
We are however happy you had fun on your journey to the resort due to the friendliness of the driver.

Fantastic holiday
Fantastic. Best we have had and we have travelled over the years with three tour groups. The hotel staff were so helpful, the meals varied and first class cuisine, the rooms clean, warm and comfortable. Food was great room was nice and clean only downside was the windows needed a clean badly. However the staff were great and the hotel was clean. Nothing was too much for the staff.
Will be booking the Alexandra hotel again that's for sure what a location.

Room 312
The facility’s in our room were adequate , BUT, the en suite door did not shut correctly, the net curtains were filthy and needed replacing NOT cleaning.
There was a large amount of dust in all corners the chair in the room was filthy.
The breakfast was second to none a great meal although the table we sat at was in need of a good clean.
We originally phoned up just just as we got into Blackpool to make an inquiry and said to the young lady (Amy) who was very good polite and professional that we would think about it and she gave us a price of £49 b& b for one night for the room.
We decided to go for it and arrived at reception to book a room and we were greeted by a large man the duty manager and explained we had enquired with Amy and NOT yet booked and he unprofessionally said why haven’t you pre booked it to Amy.
OK , NOW HERE COMES THE BIT YOU ALL NEED TO KNOW.
Being a retired fire officer I did my usual scout around after unpacking.
I was astounded to find the majority of ALL fire doors I inspected in our area 1st to 3rd floor open and some did not shut after being released due to the fact they were catching on the carpet or the door returne did not work correctly.
I went to the reception and explained to the same gentleman that we had booked in with my findings his answer was ‘we have been told that they will shut later on tonight....... I said you only have fires in the evening then.
He asked me what floor we were on I then said to him it does say on your fire doors TO BE KEPT SHUT AT ALL TIMES.
I personally made sure the fire doors were shut in our are,I looked around latter the evening and found fire doors open at about mid night. 🤔

Staff at the Royal Alexandra Hotel were very welcoming when we stayed for a long weekend. The twin room was to a very high standard of cleanliness and the beds were really comfortable. Very suprised at how big and clean the…
Very suprised at how big and clean the family room was. Check in was quick and easy and all staff were lovely and approachable. The family room was lovely, lots of room, a double, a small double and a single bed. Wardrobe, drawers, a fan, a very clean modern bathroom. The beds were very uncomfortable but overall given everything else we would definately stay here again.

Room was lovely
Room was lovely, only problem there was no Wi-Fi it worked downstairs but not in room, informed staff but not resolved, also when booked asked if there was entertainment as we had child with us , unfortunately there wasn't only bingo in the pub bit, we had to queue for 20 mins for breakfast which isn't great when you have a child with you, to be honest we where really disappointed with the whole experience.

Free guest WIFI is available throughout the hotel however connection and signal strength can be affected slightly at times due to the amount of people using it at any one time - we do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We do provide live entertainment each night of the week (this is now on in our fabulous large new cabaret bar recently opened), with bingo followed by live cabaret and a resident host so it may have been you just ventured into the bar area a little early and saw the bingo.
Thank you for the feedback on breakfast - we are sorry there was a slight wait time, during busy periods there unfortunately may be a small wait to get seated however our staff will always try their best to get guests seated and served as quickly as possible.

Smashing Break Away.
Buses punctual. Clean and comfortable. Couldn’t fault them. Drivers good fun and smart. Hotel Royal Ruskin excellent. Check in staff smart and efficient. Bedroom on the small side but clean with comfy bed. Toilet clean. Everything you need including toiletries. Food well what can I say. Exceptional. Absolutely delicious.Staff smart and lovely. Lots of smiles while working hard. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
