Absolutely Disgusting Customer Service – Avoid This Insurance Company

I am genuinely disgusted with the way this insurance company has treated me. I had only been a customer for four months, and the way they handled my cancellation has been completely unacceptable.

I submitted my cancellation request halfway through August, giving them plenty of notice before my next monthly payment was due. Despite receiving my request, they failed to cancel my policy before taking my September direct debit payment. Instead, they took the money and then cancelled my insurance within minutes of receiving the payment. This has left me feeling as though my cancellation was deliberately delayed so they could take another payment from me.

To make matters even worse, after taking an additional month’s payment, they then added a further £50 cancellation fee. I find this absolutely ridiculous, particularly given the way they handled my cancellation in the first place.

I attempted to contact the company multiple times by email, but received no response. The only time they seemed interested in contacting me was when they started sending threatening letters demanding payment of the cancellation fee. It is appalling that they can ignore a customer’s attempts to resolve an issue but suddenly become very responsive when they want more money.

I also tried calling them and was left waiting on hold for approximately 30 minutes, only to be told that someone would call me back. Unsurprisingly, that call never came. I tried calling again the following day and could not get through at all.

The complete lack of communication, the failure to deal with my cancellation promptly, the additional payment taken, and the subsequent £50 fee have made this an absolutely dreadful customer experience. I have been left feeling ignored, frustrated and unfairly treated.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using this company to think twice. A company should be judged not only by how it takes your money, but by how it treats its customers when they need help. Based on my experience, the customer service has been appalling, and the way this situation has been handled has completely destroyed my trust in them.

I expect a proper explanation of why my cancellation was delayed, why another payment was taken after I had submitted my request, and why I am being charged an additional £50 despite the circumstances. I also expect this matter to be reviewed fairly rather than being ignored or met with further demands for payment.

Charged me £50 without notice as I didn’t disclose an incident which was not asked for when applying for the car insurance online, they asked about claims not incidents. I had to add another person to the policy and was told you’re not charged any extra, turns out you are, it’s added to your direct debits, was told if I paid the £50 charge for the incident my direct debits would stay the same, they didn’t.

I made a mistake on my daughters car insurance rushing to get her insurance so she could go out in her new car and had to change her d.o.b and I think her name was Lydia was absolutely brilliant. She realised it was her 17th birthday and they wavered the £25 admin fee. Then i went back through her policy and made a second mistake and they just wavered that aswell. Very professional and polite. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you for the great service 5☆ from me.

Had to pay a cancellation fee when my son passed his test, as this Insurance company wouldn’t cover him due to his occupation within the construction industry. Even though they initially did knowing his occupation. So be wary when taking out this insurance for a learner driver. Also it took me 1 hour to get hold of someone on the phone. Avoid!!!!

Cancelling my policy after 4 days

Cancelled my son's insurance without justified reason, said it was his job as a labourer.
Insurance paid off for the year with 2 weeks to go so loses his 1 year no claims. No issues with his driving had a black box
