Costumer service is prompt and helpful! The trees and plants I ordered are doing great!

SCAM ALERT! Terrible value for the money. TREE pricing, SAPLING sized! STAY AWAY from Trees.com. I bought a weeping cherry, and it was, in fact, 4' tall as promised. However, the trunk was barely an inch in diameter, and the top was itsy-bitsy. Maybe this was a $40 plan, but they charged $200! Now you know.

Ordered 10 3 gal plants. They sent me 10 roots in 3 gal pots? Pretty sad. I expected much better quality.

That’s extremely disappointing, and I’m thoroughly dissatisfied with this experience.

I had higher expectations for the quality of both the plants and the customer service provided by Trees.com. Unfortunately, this experience has fallen well short of those expectations.

A company’s reputation is built on the quality of its products and how it stands behind them, and this experience has left me questioning both.

I wanted to plant fruit trees for the deer and of course myself. I reached out and staff helped me 100%. The delivery process was flawless and was done as they promised. They pretty much walked me through what I needed done on my end to be successful with planting the trees. After planting 12 different apple trees one didn't make it. I was told to wait till spring to see if it comes back and if not they will get me out a new one, to me thats great customer service.

I bought 4 trees since I saw their alive and thrive guarantee. All 4 died within 90 days. I contacted them about replacements and they said they only guaranteed the trees for 60 days. It seems on items they change their guarantee. You're better off buying from Lowes or Home Depot as you can see the product and they do give a 1 year guarantee.

Nice response from the company. When a customer spends over $500 for an order you should stand behind your product. The order stated alive and thrive guarantee and a 60 day guarantee. Customers beware they don't stand behind their product. Go elswhere.

Pros--
The plants have been MUCH healthier than any other company I've had shipped, and healthier than 75% of my local nursery's supply (although I love my local nursery).

I think there is a ton of care in how they ship. I've had other places ship and it is like they threw the plants in a box and crossed their fingers they'd live, just about! XD

The reason I won't give them a 5 is that I find their guarantee highly misleading and they refer to it over & over on their site. I didn't read the contractual info about the 'guarantee' until after I'd made my purchase. Dumb, I'll grant you. You have to pay for the SHIPPING AND HANDLING of trees they replace. ...What? You don't even pay S&H when you order the first time, unless you order something really small. I certainly wouldn't do that, and it would never occur to me their 'guarantee' wouldn't do that. Besides, how much is 'handling'? As much as a company wants it to be, I suppose.

I think it's a highly deceptive guarantee and in my opinion it hurts the company a great deal. If that's your 'guarantee', just do away with it. You clearly don't have confidence you can fulfill/make good on it, so don't make it in the first place.

Also, from what I've read from the company since realizing their guarantee was, um, NOT, makes me think you must practically give blood and document your trees fingerprints before you can hope for a sad settlement offer of giving you your replacement. And you're not getting your money back, either.

It's really a shame to me when companies that actually have a really good product add a highly shady (yes, there's a pun there) promise they don't even need to do. Just be honest. If you can't afford replacements, say you can't, except for delivery issues or whatever you really mean in your 'guarantee'.

I ordered six Muskogee crepe myrtles on Sept. 29, 2026. When I checked out, it said "Will ship the week of Oct. 14." I thought, wow, that's two weeks from now, but sure, whatever. Well Oct. 14 gets here and I don't hear any updates. So I wait til literally the end of the week, Sunday, Oct. 18, to reach out. I ask a customer service rep in the chat "hey, where's my trees. When are they gonna ship?" and I'm told that the trees are actually NOT in stock. That they won't be until January 2027. No one communicated this with me. If I hadn't reached out to customer service, I'd have just been waiting on my trees that would have taken months to arrive, if they ever did. This lack of communication was the worst part. It's frustrating that the trees weren't in stock, but I was mostly angry that it just left me in limbo. The customer service associate Israel was awesome, though. 5-stars for Israel; he killed it and was so polite and helpful. This overall 1-star review is for Trees.com as a whole. I asked for a refund, got it, and just now ordered the trees from another website. If you don't have them in stock, don't let people order them.

HORRIBLE! Bought a 3 gallon shrub that (according to their charts) was supposed to be 2 to 3 feet tall. Mine was only 18 inches and rather skimpy. All they offered was a 30 percent discount. My final total for this shrub was 80.00, and customer service didn't care that I was a loyal customer who has bought many things previously. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CARE. BEWARE! I was ripped-off.

Purchased a maple tree 11 months ago and it recently up and died despite good care. Support team addressed the issue promptly and replaced the tree. I was a bit disappointed that I had to pay the shipping, but that's business I guess!

My Satsuma and the care kit came in record time to PA. I am pleasantly surprised with the condition of the plant.

I replanted it and so far so good. Keep up the good work you are doing.

BUYER BEWARE of Trees.com as they pull a scam sending you almost dead twigs with severely pruned roots and so few leaves that the twig trees die with 1 or 2 weeks. They will send you one and only one replacement if you pay around $16.00 for shipping but it will be in even worse shape than the first dying twig they send you. I have grown seedlings myself from other types of trees that had more roots in a couple months than the twigs that Trees,com sends you. You pay for an overpriced tree thinking you will get a healthy tree and you just get dying twigs sent to you that they call a tree. Do not buy anything from Trees.com if you want a healthy tree that has any chance of survival and their customer service is just rude and says sorry we already sent you one replacement that you paid for shipping on and even if it died within one week nothing you can do.

I am very happy with the way i have been helped and very pleasant to work with and i love my trees

Paid $1000 for trees that were supposed to be 3-4 feet tall. Not a single tree was the height that we purchased. They asked for photos, we sent them.

Alessandro (their lead customer support specialist) agreed with the photos that the trees “did not meet the advertised height” but could only offer us a “meaningful accommodation” of a 40% refund. That is illegal in the state of Illinois.

Do not use this company. We are filing complaints with BBB and the state of AG.

I have had very bad experience with then. Ordered 13 trees and 4 are dead in a month. Upon contacting the customer service I was told they can send me 1 tree and for other 3 I have to pay shipping. It was the same order and the excuse they are giving is they were delivered couple of days apart. Would not recommend them at all.

Major Update!! On 10/16/2026, customer service reached out to me and we were able to come up with a resolution. They listened to my concerns and complaints and found a way to fix the issues. I am very content with my experience and have updated my review.

I wrote a review earlier describing a very bad customer service experience with Trees.com (formerly Fast Growing Trees). I was sold a Maple tree from Trees.com and it arrived in pretty bad shape and ultimately died. I contacted Trees.com and was told that the tree I was sold would not thrive in my homes climate and that they would not honor their guarantee. I was very disappointed, thus my review. Well today I am happy to report that Trees.com customer service reached out and have given me full credit on my original purchase. That's all I was hoping for so thanks to Trees.com for doing the right thing and restoring my faith in their company.

My trees are young shipping was good and they came healthy my fingers are crossed so far

I've purchased trees and bushes from Trees.com (Fast Growing Trees) for the past few years. This year, I purchases an apple tree, plum tree, cherry tree, blackberry and blueberry bushes, a patio peach tree, banana trees, and a palm tree. I've consulted w/ their plant experts when I have had problems, and I've reached out to customer service for a replacement. I've had excellent service from everyone at the company I've worked with. Highly recommend Trees.com!
