Order a bunch of shade garden plants. Very happy with everything I received. Well packed. healthy plants. They even held onto my order until it was safe to ship since there had been some late frosts. Will order again!
Struggling for months to fulfill an order with nature hills. I have a return of a tree donut that after five emails they still have not managed to process, and the last item only order that was not fulfilled had to be canceled and redone with an alternate variety because they ran out. It atill has not shipped. They do not answer their phone and the online chat does just says leave your email for a response. Emails to support were working but the last five have gone unanswered. This leaves me with only one option, to dispute the charge with AMEX. Shop at a more reliable nursery, this place is a hot mess.

In the fall I placed an order, received it quicker than expected! My plants arrived looking lovely and in good shape. I had emailed their customer support team and received a quick reply, they even gave me some extra planting tips for what I bought! Super great experience!

Dont know were to start, this Nature hills nursery it's the worst company ever. I had order couple of trees which I thought maybe within few weeks I will receive my order. Ofcourse that didn't happen, 1 month later, two months later, six months had passed and I just had enough.. the communication was the worst of all I asked for my money back and the refused to give it to me unless they kept a high percentage which I refused to give it to them. The audacity of them to expect percentage from me when six months later didn't received my trees . I had to contuct my credit card company to get my money back. I would never ever do buisness with this people.

You want me to be honest, about you being honest. I have written several times to complain about order #134067, two Japanese Red Maples which I received dead--yes, dead. I emailed you the photo. They advertise free shipping on orders $199 and above. My order was over $200 but I did not get free shipping.
The 2 trees ordered were received on a Thursday and planted on Friday. That was 10 days ago and the trees lost all of their leaves. Reminds me of poor Charlie Brown. I haven't contacted customer service yet, but by the looks of other responses, that may be useless.

My mother and I ordered a midnight marvel hibiscus bush from them instead of getting the deep red hibiscus we got a pink which is pretty but not what we ordered!
We did the chat and was told it would be replaced!! Sent in a picture like was required!! “Nothing from them”
We also sent in 2 emails to with pictures and all info Still nothing!!
Called the phone number listed on website was on hold 20 minutes and they hung up!!
I have and am on hold now for 50 minutes yet have I gotten anyone to answer!!
I’m Fed up we paid $94.64 and can’t even get a response from anyone!!

Very frustrating to deal with Nature Hills and honestly a huge waste of my time. My order was partially filled and I spent countless hours trying to rectify this including time on the phone trying to talk to an actual person with no luck, emailing and chatting, all of which got me no where. The final thing that worked was when I filled out a complaint at Better Business Bureau that I finally was credited back my money. Very frustrating! I will NEVER use this nursery again.

I have been waiting 2 1/2 weeks for a response to my email regarding their plant warranty for items I purchased from them last year (received a generic email that they are "currently experiencing higher than normal inquiry volume"). They don't answer the phone during their limited M-F, 10-3 business hours (goes straight to voicemail telling you to email them) and their AI chat bot is a joke. I wish I would have read all the warnings before purchasing from them. I'm out about $70 because while they're happy to sell you plants, they won't communicate with you if there is an issue.

This is not a nursery it is one guy sitting in his basement taking your order and placing your order with growers having those growers drop ship your order, I waited 4 months for plants before I attempted to get my money back and was told there was a 30% restocking fee for something that was never shipped, bottom line is I had to go to my bank to get my money back. You will never get plans from this scammer.

Not happy. I've been waiting since April 3, 2025 for my tree. Nothing. I've called on the phone and they are closed more than they are open. The link in my email to check on the status of my order doesn't work. The answering message tells you to use their chat feature on their website, which isn't there. I tried to leave a review on their website and it wouldn't let me. Buyer beware.

I placed an order with Nature Hills Nursery on April 19th, and as of today, May 5th, I have only received a portion of my order. Despite this, my credit card was charged for the full amount at the time of purchase.
I attempted to contact Nature Hills last week by phone. After waiting on hold for 37 minutes with no response, I had to hang up. I also used their website chat feature, but I did not receive a reply until several hours later. The only information I was given was that my order would "ship this week"—with no tracking details or further clarification provided.
I checked my account today and it still shows the order as partially fulfilled, with no updates or estimated shipping dates. I am currently on hold again, now at 41 minutes and counting, trying to reach someone for assistance.
Nature Hills needs to significantly improve its customer communication and order fulfillment transparency. Additionally, it is not acceptable to charge customers in full for items that have not been shipped or even scheduled for delivery in a reasonable timeframe.
I still have not received a response or my order fulfilled so they have effectively stolen money from me.

I purchased 3 Hebe patty's purple plants at an unbelievable price of around $50 each and a worthless warranty for another $14.91. When I called them to find out when my plants would ship out after 3 days of waiting for them to email me like other online nurseries they barked at me and told me they don't ship for 7-10 days? I did not see that on their website? They told me I would be emailed when my order shipped out. I never received an email but logging in to my account I found they had shipped 5 days earlier, when the plants arrived 1 was healthy and 2 were sickly. I have no desire to fight with this company any longer and consider myself fortunate to have even received my order but I will never do business with them again!

UPDATE: Unless you want to honor the warranty claim without the ridiculous restrictions, all 6 trees are dead, I wont be changing my review. I purchased 6 trees in March 2024 for $1108 and the warranty plan for $110. The trees started turning brown on tips that Fall, but decided to give more time to start growing. By January 2025 they all had a disease that can only be cured by removing all brown leaves, and that would leave virtually nothing but stem. Filed warranty claim and they said well they appear to be alive. Also said I must not have watered them enough, well they are on an irrigation system, they then made me scrape the bark and send pictures. Finally gave credit for 2 trees for $277.00. To use the credit you have to call them For 2 weeks I kept getting message the mailbox is full! Sent email, no response. Finally got through after 15 minute wait. They will take order but you have to pay shipping and cannot use the credit for the shipping charge. To ship 2 peony bushes it was $84 payable upfront. All the trees are dying and I will never buy or recommend this company to anyone, not even my enemies. Do not purchase from them and do not purchase worthless warranty.

I paid $169 for a Scentimental
Floribunda Rose tree from Nature Hills which I ordered from Lisa on 2/14/25. I asked her how tall would it be and she said 3-4ft tall. I just received the tree and it’s a dormant, dinky little tree and it’s only 2 and 1/2 feet tall! I feel that I’ve been short changed! I paid a lot for this tree and got an UNDER-sized tree. I bought a Perfume Factory Hydrid Tea Rose tree from Nature Hills in 2023 and was told it was going to be 3-4 ft tall and it was 4 ft tall-a good size tree. But they held off shipping it to me until May. I ordered two more Rose trees from Lisa (a Chihuly & Violet’s Pride) each $209 and I told Lisa to hold off sending them to me until May. She said they would be sent to me in May. I told her if I get two more 2 and 1/2 dinky dormant trees from them I’m sending them back to them and not accepting them. And it’s the LAST time I buy from Nature Hills!!!They like to cheat customers on the size of trees that they order!!

I ordered $500 worth of plants . Received half my order on Thanksgiving weekend over two days that were 13 to 20 degrees
It took them 11 days to answer me … Customer service said the boxes weren’t damaged so sorry for your luck! I still have no response on the rest of my plants. Their phone number says that they were closed on the ninth today is the 13th and no one‘s answering the phones.
