Top Battery 

Lap top battery ordered and accepted high postage as assumed would be prompt reliable delivery. Week went by no battery. Emailed for information and I was told to 'Take it Easy' . No reputable company would ever say that to a customer. I have cancelled order.

I bought a battery from top-battery.co.uk and it was faulty. I only discovered it was a Chinese company when they took payment as the website and confirmation email do not give an address. The seller asked me to return the battery to China at my expense in order to get a replacement or refund. They eventually offered to send a replacement for a postage cost of £5. I refused this as I lost confidence in their ability to send a working battery and I asked for a refund which they would not give without returning the battery to China. After 18 emails they eventually agreed to refund the cost of the battery less the shipping cost.

I purchased a battery from them in January 2013 and at first everything seemed great until this morning... My husband turned his laptop on and immediately smelled burning. He picked his laptop up to find flames coming out of the battery! This has completely damaged his computer, which is no longer useable!
Worse still if he had been using the laptop on his knee, I hate to think what would have happened, or if a child had been using the laptop. This could have easily escalated to something more serious. Luckily my husband was there when it happened so was able to act quickly, the next person might not be so fortunate.
Neither trading standards nor PayPal seem to be able to do anything about it as they are not a UK company as they claim, so I have now reported it to Watchdog. Someone needs to alert the public about these corrupt foreign sellers!

A week after this first happened, I have finallly got some of my money back, but only £15, less PayPal costs, making a total of £14.06. When I asked top-battery why so little, their reply was bacause I can't send it back! It was supposed to be guaranteed for 3 years and I have provided photographic evidence of the burnt out battery and reminded them of the seriousness of this incident. Thank goodness no-one was seriosuly hurt of worse. As it is, it has cost us £420 to replace the laptop!! I have now resorted to reporting this to the Chinese Embassy as I don't know what else to do. It is so wrong that these foreign companies can trade under the pretence of being UK based and offering full guarantees, etc, when in reality they are not, and no one has the power to stop them. Maybe we need to wait until someone is seriously injured or killed. Perhaps then someone might stop and listen to us!

Sent for replacement laptop Battery for my HP laptop the website stated 5 days
took over 6 weeks tracked it but very slow Battery arrived today just charging it now so i cant comment on quality but if you can buy in UK do so Update on review Battery very good keeps charge very happy so i will give rating a few more stars

After purchasing a battery for my laptop and realising the company weren't in the UK and having read some of the reviews on here, I was actually really worried that either I wasn't going to receive the battery or I would receive it but it would be the wrong one. I was delighted to receive the battery and it is exactly as the description on their website. The only thing that I think the company need to do is to send out an email when the product has been despatched and that lets the customers know that their purchase is on it's way. I emailed the company after 5 days and they replied straight away with a tracking number which was great! All in all I great purchase! Thank you.

Purchased a laptop battery for my Sony Laptop. It arrived but was wrong spec. Plugged it into laptop but it didnt charge. What followed was 10 days of emails between me and their sales email address where each time that asked me to do various things. I repeatedly asked for a refund and each time they came back with something else to "try". This was pure delaying tactics to avoid paying a refund. The last thing they sent me was a link to a website to download and install a Sony BIOS patch. Stupidly I installed the "Patch" and this screwed up my laptop and it doesnt even work now.

So now I have a faulty battery and a non-working laptop thanks to these scammers. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Just wasted a lot of time ordering a battery that was advertised as compatible for a Dell. product fell out of laptop on lifting and couldn't be retained in the unit. Chinese company asked me if i could just keep it as it was too expensive for them to return it to China, then asked if I would send it on to another customer, made me wait against the Distance selling regs for only a partial refund excluding delivery and return charges (despite several emails from me pointing out that as the item didn't comply they should cover both way costs on postage). The regs also said i shouldn't have been kept waiting for a refund until they received it back. I was also asked to pay for trackable postage that cost me more without being refunded. This forced me to get the delivery costs refunded by Paypal and I am now engaging Trading Standards to get the rest of my money back for the return. SO JUST DON"T GO THERE!!

Battery finally arrived today the 22 of March, placed order 9th of February.

Battery works fine charged ok and have run flat and recharged so that part 10 out of 10.

But I do think it’s a shame that the battery company or what ever name they trade under is not more up front and honest on the web site and say that delivery is 6 to 8 weeks not days so that you can make a choice whether or no to use them.
Air lines will not fly batteries as freight that’s why it takes so long to ship from the far east and return goods its road or sea only,

This company claims to be based in the UK; they are NOT. They claim that delivery will be 3-5 working days, then acknowledge the order with a 5-9 working days delivery. Their returns policy is simply lies. They sent completely the wrong item then simply ignored any communication from me. PayPal have been brilliant; they reimbursed me very quickly. To obtain a refund I had to return the item but 'tracked return postage' to China was almost as much as the purchase price of the battery. Chinese customs are 'super strict' and need to contact the consignee; but they are unable to. If Top-Battery refuse to accept delivery I could be charged for return shipment. Just one big headache. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

I bought a replacement upgrade battery for my Acer Laptop from this supposedly UK based company, they sent me the wrong battery that in no way met the description on their website. I have tried contacting them and have had no response and now seems I have wasted my money on a completely useless battery. NOTE they do not have any address or contact details only an e-mail address. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS DODGEY COMPANY!

Ten days ago I ordered a 6600mAh battery for my Dell Inspiron 6000. Like other people I discovered these reviews after receiving my paypal email with the name Xianghua Luo, and was full of trepidation as to what my experience would be. The battery arrived in a week, apparently from a UK warehouse, well packed and with good instructions for maximising the battery life. It fitted perfectly. I have fully charged and discharged it several times, as instructed, and it is working absolutely fine, showing 4 hours life when fully charged to 100%. In a word, I have been completely delighted with my experience of this firm. Price, delivery and product have all been impeccable. Based on my experience, a friend has already followed me and ordered a battery from them for his Dell.

I ordered my battery just before Christmas and it arrived in the new year. Unfortunately, in the interim, the laptop it was meant to work with had blown.

I contacted Sunny who asked me to hold onto the battery for a few days and then asked me to post it to a new customer; at this point I found this site and started reading the reviews with mounting horror and fear.

My fear was unfounded. Sunny was amazing; the consummate professional. I have received a refund of the battery costs and the cost for the postage to the new customer in the UK.

For me, the experience has been painless and has left me confident that if I require a battery in the future; even though the business is in China, I will get a proffesional service.

Highly recommended - just be patient for the delivery.

DO NOT USE. 1st battery faulty sent back after numerous delaying & prevaricating e-mails, 2nd battery received also faulty (suspect it was the 1st one sent back again). 2nd battery returned and partial refund received only after chasing them. Despite 2 promises to refund rest of my money it has not happened. DO NOT USE & DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY

Ordered Toshiba Satellite battery, very common you would think, but nothing turned up in the timescale promised. Email suggested it was delayed for 'business season' - whatever that is. Paid via Paypal so raised it through the Resolution Centre and they have found in my favour. They wouldn't have necessarily done that if there wasn't a track record of non-delivery. I still haven't received anything after 6 weeks.

I placed an order with some serious misgivings, given customer feedback, however top-battery came out tops. The item was exactly as ordered, it arrived promptly - less than 24 hours after an email was sent saying it had been dispatched - works perfectly and was extremely competitively priced. I would use this company again.

My replacement laptop battery arrived promptly but it was too large - by only approx 1mm - and I was not going to force it in to the housing! On contacting the company I discovered they were Chinese masquerading as an English setup. My email contact, asked me for a photo of the batteries and then tried to convince me they were the same size, etc. When convinced otherwise he asked me to return the faulty battery but to China not their English 'address'. I then discovered your website and decided that I would be unlikely to get either my postage back (£10-15) or a correct battery so gave up at that point convincing myself that the money I had spent had been worth it for the lessons learnt. I leave you to draw your own conclusions...

Despite their website this is not a UK company - they're in the Far East.
I ordered a high capacity replacement laptop battery. After 8 weeks waiting I emailed and was told '... it must be lost in the post'. They promised to send another immediately but, after another 3 weeks, was told they had sold out and would send an ordinary one and refund the difference. Then they argued about how much to refund.
Eventually received a battery which has worse than the one I was replacing!
These people are dishonest - AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

I bought a product which arrived find. Unfortunately I had to return it, which I soon found out was impossible. My request was replied from a Korean Gmail account telling me the payment had not gone through and that it'd be cancelled - LIES! The payment had gone through so he fell silent when I brought this to his attention, I emailed two or three times after this. Even after threatening legal action the response I got was basically a plea of ignorance; they essentially told me it wasn't their problem and to go away. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

This company is thoroughly dishonest. I wish I had seen these reviews first. The battery did not work, but they claimed it needed several charges to get to full power so persevere. Still did not work so they said to return it. This was done tracked....But they said they had not got it. Kept asking for the proof of delivery to be sent (which was done) and then stopped responding to emails.........Right after the 45-day period for opening a dispute with PayPal is finished.
It appears to be something that they do frequently looking at the other reviews.
Please, Please, Please don't let them steal from you also.

Order a battery as they had a .uk and Royal Mail insignia. Sent from Far East so Post here in Ireland looking for Vat and handling charge as it came from outside EU. Asked for a Vat receipt but got no answer.
Should not be allowed. Have written to Inland Revenue about Vat so see what happens.
