Top Battery 

Company implies it is based within the UK when in actual that it is located in China. Received battery after 5 days after order and things appeared to be fine at this stage. But it went down hill quickly from this point forward. I put the replacement battery I ordered in to my partners laptop as it should be and from day one didn't charged to a 100% and would continuously stop charging whilst connected to the mains using the charger adaptor.

This continued for the next couple of days. So I art melted to contact the seller from the website again. However when I came to do this the website had been taken of online and couldn't be found.

I then contacted PayPal to open a dispute and immediately escalate to a claim as the item was faulty and I believe the seller is fraudulent. After a bit of back and forth between myself and PayPal and a single response from the seller saying that it had been received PayPal decided in my favour and rewarded me a full refund, but I had to return the battery to China, which I clearly refused to do as this would leave me further out of pocket! So I contacted PayPal by phone again to explain that I refuse to return the item on the basis it would leave me further out of pocket and the seller is clearly fraudulent they immediately refunded the money back in to my account. Luckily PayPal have been great in this case which ensured I wasn't out of pocket.

I RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! FRAUDULENT COMPANY!

I ordered a replacement battery for my Samsung notebook. When I received it I tried to put into the slot and it did not fit. I sent a message to TopBattery and the answer was:
"Please don't worry; we are happy to resend replacement once confirmed."

I was asked for further details as if they didn't know it was right:
"But you didn't tell us our battery's part number, voltage, capacity, so we cannot confirm if we sent wrong battery to you."

I opened a case with Paypal but they sent a nessage to me:
"Luo Xianghua has declined your request for a $35.60 AUD refund to settle
this dispute and has posted a new message in the Resolution Centre."

I escalated this dispute to a Claim. The seller asked me to close the claim, send the item to an Australian Post Box address and promised to refund my expenses:
"Will check paypal and issue refund."

Finally he made a partial refund and I lost only $9.90. When I asked to pay that amount the answer was:
"I processed this refund application but fail to be approved by financial department as the policy.
But we can give you disccount when you purchasing next time."

Of course there will be no next time. I would avoid this crook at any cost and suggest to do the same to anyone thinking of buying a battery. I don't believe this "financial department" either, this is one person: Luo Xianghua, in Chna.
I think I was lucky to lose only a small amount.

Please dont use this company, its a con. They sent me a battery that didn't even fit my Laptop. It had been opened and looked used.
When I asked for a refund they said I could either return it at my cost (to China) or send it to the next unsuspecting buyer!

I declined. I'm 35 quid down.

Sent rubbish battery from China. Wrong model, wrong quantity. Asked me to post on to another customer, then refused to pay the postage!
Took me ages to sort it out through a Paypal dispute.
Do not buy from this man. No way a UK site or company. No way quality products. Just another cheat turning out rubbish.

Laptop battery failed within warranty period, I have contacted the seller several times over 2 weeks without reply.
They con you into thinking UK based with the Royal Mail emblem on their website but when you pay through Paypal its China you are dealing with.
I have read several complaints of faulty goods and no replies.
It is of note he is in breach for using the Royal Mail emblem, they list shipping Lithium batteries on their own as PROHIBITED.
Dodgy goods, ignorant seller - you have been warned !!!
Would not give any stars !!

This company is just out to con as many UK customers as possible by selling faulty battery, knowing that most persons will NOT return the faulty battery because of the cost involved in returning the faulty goods, also they deliberately and maliciously misleading peoples as they come across as being in the UK and you don't learn their true identity until after you have paid for the battery when you receive the email confirmation from PayPal that the payment was made to LUO XIANGHUA who is based in China
PayPal is also as guilty as top - battery, because they must be aware of the many complaints against this company, and its their MORAL & ETHICAL DUTY that before you click to pay this company a LARGE RED WARNING notice should advise the client that the company is NOT based in the UK but in China, I would have NOT bought from top - battery if I knew that they were based outside the UK
I bought a laptop battery for my Sony at the end of November 2013 for £ 31.58 and it lasted less than 2 months. I have received NO response from top- battery nor from PayPal so called " Customers Service Depart " AVOID this CON- Company and other similar companies based outside the UK

Claim Just Settled 5 mins. ago. I was tricked into thinking this company was UK, as I did a search for my battery through Google UK and added UK to the search. This site had UK address, Royal Mail Logo, and batteries not overly cheap. The company sent a battery with a "lump" on it. i.e. fitted the slot but stuck out. On various emails they asked that I] send a photo.. 2] Try the battery and if not satisfied will send replacement [I refused] 3] Post the battery onto a waiting customer [I pointed out that Royal Mail did not accept these batteries to post]. 3] Return via a website who has a network of shops you can return goods via - Amazon offers them. I pointed out that this was for UK goods only, and only for companies on their list. They weren't on the list. 4] I did also suggest they use the courier who delivered mine - they said they couldn't??! All this went on whilst having already issued a claim via PayPal . I changed to "let PayPal settle this" and they said I had to return goods & supply tracking No. Phoned them [if you have to this answer all the auto-voice questions & when it asks to you to choose an option just say you want to speak to someone]. Spoke to a very sympathetic representative [obviously used to this] & I explained I couldn't return the item as it was Dangerous Goods & fraudulently sent into this country without declaration. [I used to do DG paperwork]. They gave me a full refund immediately. If I had known what I know now I would have entered the claim under Fraud. Am now going to try to find someone to report this site to. I HAD TO LEARN THROUGH TRIAL & ERROR: DON'T USE THIS COMPANY AND ALL THE VERY SIMILAR ONES LIKE IT. LEARN THROUGH MY MISTAKE. I now have to find somewhere to dispose of this DG material.

I ordered a battery but haven't heard anything from them about payment they received or product invoice i ordered. It wasn't hard to find bad reviews about the seller. So i sent e-mails. No respond. I started raise issue on Paypal immediately asking for full refund to seller. next day they told me that " battery has been shipped out on 15th`( next day i ordered). Normally it takes about 4-8 business days"( based on the website, delivery takes 1-5 days... no idea how they do it from china to UK with 3.99 GBP fee) .So i asked for tracking number as a proof.
he replied "we just ask the engineer to check it for you and they told us the battery is missing on the shipping way. We regret to inform you that. But pls not to be afraid, there we will arrange a new one to deliver," Again No idea how they find it out it is missing without tracking number. I asked tracking number then he simply ignored my last e-mail. any feedback from them took one day. I felt they try to buy time to send me something... something whatever. Fortunately it has been a week which i could raise issue more so paypal get involved. Very next day, i got full refund and an apology e-mail from them.

Ordered on 14th and refunded after 8 days. Simply they haven't sent me anything.
So be aware of them. If you use paypal, use system "paying after you received product". if you don't receive any e-mail for couple of days, contact seller and ask for tracking number.

The best way i recommend e is simply not using them.

I ordered a replacement battery for my Samsung NC-10 netbook. Paid a total of £22 for it, when it arrived it did not fit, physically the wrong size.

Initially Top Battery entered into dialogue suggesting that they would resolve the problem, but after sending photo's of the problem emails stopped arriving.

I purchased through Pay Pal, who agreed that i was entitled to a full refund if I send the faulty item back to China.

Read the reviews after I had ordered my new laptop battery and therefore panicked. However, it arrived from Portsmouth a fortnight after ordering. It fits and works with no evidence of overheating (or bursting into flames!). Appears to hold charge much longer than the dud one that I replaced with it.

READING ALL OF THE COMMENTS ON HERE , I THOUGHT I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THESE GUYS OUT 1ST...

TURNS OUT THE BATTERY ARRIVED WITHIN 6 DAYS (FROM CHINA!!!) , DESPITE THE STORMS ETC, AND IT WORKS JUST FINE ,PERFECT IN FACT...
AND IT COST HALF OF WHAT EVERYONE ELSE CHARGES....

BUY WITH CONFIDENCE, THESE PEOPLE ARE REAL, AND THEY MEAN BUSINESS!

THis is a scam site.

I ordered a battery for my HP DV6 notebook. THey sent completely the wrong one which doesn't physically fit.

I contacted them by email whihc they never responded to.
I contacted Paypal and escalated my dispute.
Paypal found in my favour and wanted me to return the battery at my expences.
When they found out it was a litiam battery I got a full refund without sending it back.

Ordered a battery for a Toshiba laptop a week ago, then saw the name on Paypal account and read reviews here - and feared the worst. Creddt where credit is due, item received today, very well packaged, now full charged and retaining charge very well indeed. If anything it actually produces less heat than the old original Toshiba battery so so far I'm surprised and delighted.

You will never receive the advertised item. You will received an unbranded, uncertified item that may explode. Do not trust this company they are out to rip off British customers. They do not reply to email and only to paypal disputes. The return shipping is to Hong Kong and will cost more than the item itself. The website is just a black hole. You may as well just burn some money in an ashtray and enjoy the light it gives off. .

Item never received, they say they have delivered and say they have proof of signature.. As we have never received this item, this is untrue. Something must be wrong, as otherwise they would let us have of copy of POD.. PAYPAL very unhelpful and easily misguided to close a dispute without proper investigation, surely both parties should walk away HAPPY, this definately is not the case. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... funny how you do not get normal email, asking you to leave feedback... DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER, WITH NO BATTERY..... and this is only way to leave FEEDBACK.

This company comes across as being in the UK but are in fact in CHINA. They sell LAPTOP BATTERIES to their customers and take payment using PAYPAL, very secure we all think. For the most of us that receive batteries, eventually, that look like the originals and are not recognised by the laptops we are putting them into. Our first reaction was to start a dispute with PAYPAL to get my money back, as the website claims to be happy to do. Paypal came back to me and stated if I post this battery back to china using a tracking service I would get a full refund. The cost of sending it to china would have outweighed the initial cost of the battery by 3 times, hence where they get to keep their money. The majority of us would just dismiss the case with paypal. Telephone the freephone number to paypal who agreed that the company are using royal mail to advertise their postage, who we know do not ship lithium batteries anywhere in the world, and issued me with a complete refund.

I ordered a Toshiba laptop battery from Top Battery and like others discovered these mainly bad reviews after receiving my paypal email with the name Xianghua Luo. My first reaction was to ring my bank and cancel the transaction but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what happened. I'm glad I did... the battery arrived within a week from a UK warehouse, well packaged and with safety instructions. I've now been using the battery for about 2 months and to date have had no problems. Not sure whether I'm just lucky to be one of what appears to be the rare satisfied customers or whether it's just that happy customers don't write reviews but I'm extremely pleased with the service and would buy from them again.

When I escalated through PayPal they suddenly responded! Even through the PayPal Claim procedure their responses were slow, inane and rubbish - I think they were trying to delay to get me to go away. They even suggested their website was wrong because I ordered the wrong part....but it was my fault!!!
In the end, to get my money refunded for a FAULTY item, they wanted me to return the item to CHINA!! I'm sure the same would be a requirement with any WARRANTY claim too so is there REALLY a 3 Year Warranty worth having???? I think not.
PayPal were brilliant and sorted this out for me which I am very grateful for. It is worth calling if you have a problem and speak to an Agent.

stay away - poor customer service no contact details to chase and emails very poor. unable to get anywhere with them luckily I paid with paypal so they don't have card details. now trying to get refund

One star for not delivering what I'd paid for. The order had gotten 'lost' during transport, but I think it was never sent. After three weeks waiting in vain, I contacted the seller and they refunded me within 24 hrs. For that, they get the second star.

Apparantly this is a Hong Kong-based company with a very shady reputation and using a shady tactic of employing a .co.uk domain name. I'm not convinced that there is "malicious intent" though, just amateuristic business practice.
