Your money is not safe with Lloyds.
I am concerned about the security of funds held with this bank based on my recent experience.

I identified a pending transaction on my account that I did not authorise and promptly reported it through the bank’s chat service. During the process, I was asked a series of verification questions and was advised to replace my bank card, which I did in good faith.

However, I was subsequently informed that my fraud claim could not be progressed, as the bank stated there was no evidence of suspicious activity. This conclusion was reached despite my clear assertion that the transaction was unauthorised.

From a customer protection perspective, this raises serious concerns. Under applicable consumer protection and payment services regulations, customers are generally entitled to have unauthorised transactions properly investigated and, where appropriate, refunded. In this instance, I do not feel that my claim was handled with the level of diligence, transparency, or fairness that one would reasonably expect.

I would strongly recommend that the bank reviews its fraud investigation procedures and ensures that customers reporting potential unauthorised transactions are given adequate protection and a clear, reasoned explanation of outcomes.

Based on this experience, I cannot confidently say that my funds feel secure with this institution.

Absolutely useless

I have now spent a month trying to set up a joint account with my wife. Despite multiple attempts it keeps saying something has gone wrong. I have spent so much time on call and on chats and still no luck. I have tried multiple devices aswell. We are both with Lloyds. We then decided to go into branch Ipswich and they had no availability for an appointment. We were promised a call back but nothing all week. I am disabled and going to town isn't always possible. It was easier when a branch was round the corner. Moved back to Lloyds after being put with tsb in the split. Really regretting my decision to rejoin.

Tanya from the Exeter Branch went above and beyond to help me with my query. As an attorney for my Dad it’s really difficult to use online banking and app for particular banking situations as they are not set up as it would be for using one’s own account. Talking in person to someone with good knowledge made all the difference. Also she was very kind and understanding.

Two of your staff have the patience of a Saint

Two of your staff helped me today they are Lorrane Baldwin and Faye Coxon at your Lowestoft branch.
I'm an old guy who needed help to understand what was best to do and I'm typing this because they helped me understand my options although it took me a while to comprehend they had to repeat things to me but i got there thanks to these loverly ladies.

Lisa is so lovely!!

Absolute disgrace

Absolute disgrace ! Ongoing issues with my credit card not working. When I call to speak to someone the system doesn't recognise the number so I have to go into the general system to speak to someone who's useless before being put to the right department, who then cuts me off and doesn't have the intelligence to phone me back

Helen helped me in Northampton branch, she helped me with printing my statement and she was very lovely. She also helped with booking an appointment with my financial goals which I really wanted to do.
