it is the hardest thing i have ever had to do everytime you send them the paperwork they want more ,to the point its a joke and i stopped the application

I complained to the financial ombudsman about Lloyds bank l got a reply yesterday ..saying Lloyds had offered £70 compensation to close my complaint...l rang Lloyds to ask about the compensation..they denied it and said they knew nothing about it.. don't trust this bank open an account somewhere else

I accompanied my partner to Lloyds Bank in Exeter last Saturday. She is a LB customer and her local branch in Seaton has recently closed. The Universal Credit people had requested copies of her bank statements going back for the past five years and she was having difficulty downloading these, she was also having problems making online payments.
Paula, the member of staff who helped her, was amazing. She gave her all the time she needed and helped her reset her password, download the banking app so she now has it on both her phones and arranged to have all the statements printed off and posted to her. Paula was incredibly helpful and professional.

I got a credit card from them with good cashback features, however their communications and customer service are appalling. I wanted to know when the cashback gets credited against my bill and they have a FAQ on how do I get my cashback, but the published answer doesn't address the question. Instead it tells you what happens to your cashback if you wind up the account! If I ask their bot it doesn't understand. If I ask to speak to a person I wait ages only to get a response asking the last 4 digits of my card number. If they needed that why can't the bot ask for it so the person can then deal with the question? By the time I have seen and responded to their question they have closed the query. I eventually manage to get someone to respond and they do provide the answer, but only after they have provided all sorts of information I didn't ask for. When I ask why they make life so difficult and don't answer even their own questions I just get ignored and closed down .
I realise that things would be much easier for banks if they didn't have all these pesky customers to deal with. I suggest in the case of Lloyds that they don't deserve customers at all.
