I have had an ongoing issue with Lloyds Bank incorrectly reporting data on my credit file, which was previously investigated and should have been resolved following Ombudsman involvement.
Unfortunately, not only was the agreed resolution not implemented correctly, but subsequent attempts by Lloyds to fix the issue have made things worse.
The default date was updated, but in doing so Lloyds have now incorrectly reported payment status data for 2026, which is clearly inaccurate and misleading. This has resulted in inconsistent data being shared with lenders.
As a direct result of this, my mortgage application has now been declined due to adverse data that should not exist in this form.
I contacted Lloyds to resolve this urgently. While they initially made contact, they have failed to follow through on the actions they said they would take, and the issue remains unresolved.
This is not just poor service, it is a failure to ensure accurate reporting of customer data, despite the issue already being raised and investigated previously. The impact this has had is significant, and Lloyds appear to have little urgency in resolving it.
Spoke to Josh and Effie about opening an online account savings account and an ISA.Talked me through everything very clearly and put me at ease with things.Would definitely recommend going there

An advisor named Helen could not have been more helpful on Saturday 21st of March in Kingswood, Bristol. I urgently needed some bank statements printed which had failed to arrive in the post. Helen printed these out for me at the branch. Service was prompt, and efficient. Helen was very pleasant and helpful.

This Bank just gets worse and worse.......paid off a loan on Saturday 21 March after asking for FINAL PAYMENT DETAILS WHICH OF COURSE INCLUDED EXTRA INTEREST AND then discoveered today Monday 23 March that the large credit would NOT be credited until probably WEDNESDAY 25 MARCH.....WHAT HAVE LLOYDS BANK DONE WITH JUST UNDER £1750 OF MY MONEY......NO DOUBT EARNING INTEREST FOR THE BANK. LOYALTY IS NOT SOMETHING WORTH ANYTHING AT LLOYDS AND AFTER OVER 50 YEARS OF BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER AND THE PRIVILEGE OF DEALING WITH ROBOTS TO WHOM ONE CAN ONLY SPEAK IN WORDS OF NO MORE THAN ONE SYLLABLE IT COSTS THE CUSTOMER TO PAY TO GET ANY ADVICE BY HAVING TO HANG ON THE PHONE FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND THEN......YES NO RESOLUTION. MY NEAREST LLOYDS BRANCH IS A 50 MILE JOURNEY BY CAR AND EVEN THEN THE STAFF AT THIS BRANCH IS LOCATED IN A DIFFERENT COUNTY TO THE ONE IN WHICH I LIVE. FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THE STAFF DO NOT APPEAR TO BE PROPER "BANKERS" AS FAR AS I COULD MAKE OUT AND NOT SURE WHAT BANKING QUALIFICATIONS, IF ANY, THEY HOLD? SO IT IS AN EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE BEING A CUSTOMER OF LLOYDS BANK DESPITE ASSURANCES TO THE CONTRARY WHEN IT CAN TAKE DAYS FOR A RESOLUTION AND EVEN THEN THE CUSTOMER WILL NO DOUBT HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHASING AND PAYING FOR A LONG TIME ON THE CUSTOMER'S TELEPHONE.....GREAT SERVICE NOT AT ALL ! LLOYDS CONSIDER THEMSELVES TO BE ALWAYS RIGHT SO BEWARE YOU THE CUSTOMER WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE WRONG EVEN WHEN THEY OVERCHARGE YOU ON INTEREST WHICH WAS NOT VERBALISED ONLINE.....AND ONLY SUBSEQUENTLY REVEALED WHEN PAPER DOCS ARRIVED BY POST SOME TIME LATER. CHECK EVERYTHING AT LEAST TWICE....

A few weeks ago, I had to go to exeter branch, (1st time). I have to say I had an excellent and professional service. I was served by Anita, I can not falt her service, thank you for being so supportive and helpful and for lift my spirits up. Much appreciated. Nice to see and know is still generous people in this world and special at the bank, as this days everything is online and majority of the time speaking with an AI. Well done for keeping real people with real experience at the front of the house.
Over 48 hours on chat with no reply. All over your website its says message us 24/7 we will get back to you in 30 mins. What a joke. I cant ring atm due to been in another country yet lloyds do not want to help me. 21 years as a customer. Get a grip lloyds and sort this out. Before you reply giving me the complaints procedure. I have already done that. It would be nice if customer complaints actually got back to you.

I’ve only been a Lloyds customer for two months and it’s been dreadful . I’ve spent around three hours on the telephone trying to sort out constant , declines on my card at stores, and for online payments for my groceries for the last few weeks . This is all despite having 2k plus balance calling on several occasions talking to the fraud dept and being assured this issue has been sorted then being told it’s all about security and Lloyds is getting used to my spending . They change the excuse every time and never resolve it . the other day I was told I had hit my limit for using contactless that day it was my first payment that day so how can it be over my limited ! I called waited almost an hour to get through to the fraud dept and again they just kept saying it was security !!! It’s ridiculous . I’ve tryd to start a complaint but they are not interested they just say if you do complain they will say it’s for security . I will have to move banks again !!
For several weeks attempts to transfer funds from Lloyds UK account(s) to own foreign bank bank fails. All they offer is to make a complaint (which takes them weeks to answer), but no solution and no reason for why they are failing to provide the service. So, after numerous international phone calls, hours of "chats" they apologize, credit my account with £50 and apologize, but again no action to resolve the problem and still my funds are locked in Lloyds UK account. They suggest to use Revolut and PayPal, but yet again Lloyds seem to have a problem making legitimate foreign transfers and these solutions do not work either.
Trying to complete an online order. Despite jumping through all the security hoops, Lloyds Bank continues to decline payment. Very irritating. Never have this problem with my HSBC account.
