Amazing support & quality of a board

Amazing support & quality of a board.

I bought an X1- Max and it really runs smooth right from day 1. I’ve got now 340km down and am amazed by the quality of this stealthy e-longboard. Looove riding it.

The customer support was also really incredible. And eventhough the shipping took long, ever e-mail exchange was always solution oriented, accommodating and friendly. The customer communication was / is a constant stream of feel-good support and i really appreciate that.

Stay away

Beware! All products shipped from China. Delivery takes forever. My order never arrived. There is literally NO CUSTOMER SERVICE which means no one to talk to and no way to get my money back.
Never again.

Terrible customer service

I like exway boards. My 1st purchase was the Wave hub which is my fave, and 2nd Flex Pro with rain wheels ( an excellent and very smooth riding board ).
I bought the X1max on a great sale last month because they said they had in stock in US with 1 week delivery estimate to NYC
They sent email saying board was shipped out the 30th and now it's almost a month later and no skateboard and no communication. I tried to contact them many times through messenger on exway website and via emails and tried to be patient. Took so long for a reply saying they'll look into it by contacting shipper. Package still never picked up and still no contact from exway even though they charged my card and it's now almost a month later and I'm leaving town. I keep checking tracking and the board still hasn't moved from LA and nobody is helping me. Got a 2nd email on 19th saying that they received my message and they'll get to me once read. This is crazy. At the end of email they say to try to email again if I don't get a response. Very unprofessional. The 2 exway boards I have I bought through online electric skateboard seller and had a good experience. But exway as a company is terrible to deal with. I have evolve boards as well. They cost way more but you do get what you pay for. They will get back to you immediately if you contact them and don't give you the run around.
I sent Exway a couple of final messages demanding refund and the threat of contacting bank to stop payment Do you think they responded ? Nope. I really didn't want to cancel but 1 month is crazy and now I don't want or need the board. I will not be supporting this company anymore.

Exway wave 17 km after got battery fault

Exway wave.
17 km after got battery fault.
Warranty is for 6 month only.
At 25 km odo one of the motors started to make intermittent noise and disconnect.
Otherwise fine board.
Tech support response was quick but disappointing.

Board Performance is Terrible

This board was clearly a rip off of the once awesome Boosted Boards that were made in the USA, but now we have this Exway line of boards from China and there is zero comparison between the two. Board performance is a FLAT-OUT LIE. Do not believe the "20 mile range" they tell you. The lithium batteries Exway is using have a depreciating life-cycle that is representative of cheaply used materials. After less than 50hrs of use, you're range may only be a few miles at most between charges. Customer service is absolutely the most horrid experience you can have which is additionally complicated by language and time zone differences. The design of the Exway board itself is far too narrow and curved that it creates a sort-of 'pocket' for your feet but if you have a size 9 foot or larger, its going to be quite uncomfortable to ride for more than a few miles at a time. Perhaps they designed this platform with a small chinese foot in mind? Either way, its not good.

Do not waste your money. You will end up with buyers remorse.

Exway x1 Max hubs.. awesome!!!!!

Purchased and got my board in 5 days (as I had to wait till after the weekend) ups delivery..
Board wonderfully made. Doesn't even look like an esk8.
Sooo light in weight. Less than half the weight of my ownboard at1w.
Very quick to set up, app, controls and I jumped straight on it and set off in default.. no issues. Oh, default for me was gear 2.. gear 1 was way too tamed lol
Super stable.. I've only been out a few times, so will update this report again at the end of the Feb 2022.
Reached speeds up to 16 mph so far. On ice! Hardly any speed wobble.
Came with front and read bumper guards. It wasn't offered in my original purchase. Got free shipping and $20 off at the same time.
The board is stiff.. UK roads can be a real annoyance, but on smooth tarmac... perfect. Just ordered cloudwheel donuts to more comfort.. Will carry on the street wheels for now.
Hub motor soo soo quiet. I love it.
Tried to install shredlights. The front easy. The rear . Not so easy ( I've got the wrong bracket i think?). All lights on and I don't think the rear is touching the trucks??
Carving is wonderful on this board. I would have been out right now, but it's flipping cold tonight.
Exway, if you read this? X1 MAX style .. make a drop through deck version please!!!!!!!!!! And I'll buy it as soon as I see it!!!

Took my money, never received my order

The company were quick to reply to my questions up until the point I placed an order and they took my money. First I discover after placing my order that the battery is now a different specification to what was advertised, around 16% less capacity. I emailed asking for other option but didn’t receive a reply. I asked to cancel my order and again got no response. My order failed to arrive, I emailed them but still no reply. Tried chasing again and still nothing. They’ve taken my money, failed to respond to my emails and I’m still without my order.

Terrible customer support and…

Terrible customer support and misleading information. I ordered a Exway flex board from the website and it never said that I was making a preorder. They where basically selling boards that they did not have nor did they know when they would have them. After no updated for over a month and a very hectic process with their customer support (who barely spoke english) I was informed that they did not have batteries for the board. A month later when they finally had batteries, a lot of customers complained when receiving their boards because the batteries where not the ones they advertised. They had decided to swap the batteries from Samsung to one manufactured domestically which had lower voltage and no brand. They did not own up to this until customers found out by themselves and then came out with an unsatisfying explanations as to why this happened saying that they where going to inform customers about the battery switch before hand and that it was only suppose to apply to newly ordered boards. This is basically false advertisement. I have now been waiting for over 2 months for the board and have tried to get a cancel and refund with no success as they say they have already shipped the board. But when tracking the package and contacting the logistic service accountable for the delivery, it's clear that the board hasn't been shipped. I don't even know if they actually have the board to be honest. All in all, the company is very misleading and tries to maximise profits by taking orders for boards that they do not have, neither do they have the materials to assemble it. It's like a restaurant taking reservations for 1000 tables on a day they only have 10 tables and then trying to deal with the consequences of that once the time comes. If you don't have bandwidth to respond to orders, then limit your pseudo inventory and say you are out of stock, don't just keep selling stuff you don't have and replace the batteries or other materials with lower grade unlabelled alternatives just to sell something (for the same price) and hoping nobody notices.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED

I bought an Exway FLEX last year and the company kept on updating you about the delivery of the product because of COVID-19. I am very pleased to ride it almost every day to go to work as it is a really convenient way to commute. Although the board requires high maintenance such as cleaning the wheels and belt motors, it helps you maintain your electric skateboard.

After using it for almost 10 months, I have had a problem with BMS Error and Battery issue. I contacted the exway support team through email and I received a response a day after. They are really quick to reply to your emails and very pleased to help resolve any of your issues.

After sending videos and details about the problem, they gave me instructions and paid shipping fee of 35$; and eventually sent me a battery replacement which did not take long to arrive. Now, I can use my board again and I am very satisfied that they have resolved my problem and the customer service is the best so far that I have had.

PS: This is my first time commenting on a review since I am not a person who writes reviews or comments on any of the products I bought. But this time, It is worth giving a huge thumbs up to the team and to the company itself for providing genuine assistance and kindness.

EXWAY X1 - Paid nearly 800$ for 1 year of unprofessional support and 2 rides on a malfunctioning product

Ordered a X1 Pro in May 2020. Received it in July 2020, rode it 2 times before the battery had a malfunction.

Contacted the support directly in July, received a response in August from a member of the Exway support and was told that I would receive a quick charger and parts as compensation in addition to the replacement board and that I should pay the shipping fee of the broken board (which would afterwards be refunded in full).

The replacement board never arrived. I’ve unsuccessfully tried to contact the Exway support in September and October 2020. In November I silently got a refund without the shipping fees (that I had paid in advance) instead of the promised replacement board and the parts. Comment here was to „just buy a new board“.

After trying to contact the support again to resolve this matter, up until this day I have never again heard anything from the Exway Support. I was time and again disappointed by Exway even though I was really looking forward to having the board and ride it. Even more disappointing is the fact that Exway had multiple occasions to prevent a loyal customer from giving up on their product & brand. Instead, they alienated me further with every response (even if there only were a few of those) and thereby made sure that I would not again buy their product and most definitely not recommend it to anyone.

Conclusion:
* I rode the X1 Pro 2 times before it broke.
* Highly unprofessional support that does not keep its promises.
* No replacement board (or parts) ever arrived.

So…instead of riding an awesome e-longboard in the summer of 2020, I paid more money than was refunded to me and I had to fight the Exway support until now (February 2021, last response: November 2020). In the end I only paid a lot of money for nothing but stress & disappointment.

Will not issue refund of returned product

Purchased a replacement battery for $180. We were not told of the shipping costs so when we went to pick up our package, we were told the shipping would be another $50
We had the package sent back for a refund. That was in January. It is almost March and we have yet to receive the refund. They have responded to all of our emails stating that the money has been refunded but that is not true. They have just kept the $180 that we paid and we do not have the battery. That is theft in my eyes. Do not purchase from this company unless you want to take a chance on this happening to you. I plan to spread the word so no one else is ripped off by this company.

X1 Pro Riot with pulley hub

X1 Pro Riot with pulley hub. Good board manages 20mph with big rider but service is chaotic. Made from 3rd party parts with just a handful of staff. Soft metal Allen key (broke first use) & no spare bolts which round on first extraction is ridiculous. Staff nor leaflet gives any indication of pitch (hard to measure as bolts are too small) to obtain replacements. In any case at this price, parts should be industrial stainless steel rather than soft mild steel.
Ridiculously high shipping fee (they joke that they make all their profit on the shipping fees).
People could build their own electric skateboards from the same generic 3rd party parts at a fraction of the cost.
