We ordered the Dubai chocolate from FIX through Deliveroo for 550 AED. We wanted to leave it at the reception, but it was never delivered, even though it was marked as delivered.

At first, customer support had no idea where the package was, and later they told us it had been delivered. However, we never received anything, and neither did the reception. This is a scam. Customer support was absolutely unhelpful—they just kept apologizing and even told us we could leave a review.

In the end, we have neither the chocolate nor our money. Be careful with them and avoid ordering anything to a hotel reception. This was our first time trying it, and it will definitely be the last!

Shady Pricing Tactics – Beware!

I just had the worst experience with Deliveroo UAE. They showed me one price all the way through, but at the last second during checkout, they doubled the price without warning! No transparency, no explanation—just an outright scam. To make things worse, they didn’t even allow me to cancel the order.

This is unacceptable. A company this big should not be engaging in shady, last-minute price hikes to squeeze more money out of customers. I’ve lost trust in their service, and I’d advise everyone to double-check their final total before confirming anything. Better yet, use a different service that respects its customers.

Avoid Deliveroo unless you enjoy being ripped off! 🚨👎

Worse customer services. Order around £150 worth of Fix chocolates to be delivered to my hotel. Made arrangement with concierge and front desk to accept delivery on my behalf. The driver did not turn up to the hotel and attempted delivery elsewhere. Goods taken back to depot and apparently destroyed. Called customer services and they were no help and refused to redeliver or refund the order. I even offered to collect the items or pay for re-delivery or even taken delivery charge off when refunded. No luck. Basically, I lost £150 and got nothing from them. Never use deliveroo.ae again and avoid them like the plague. Deliveroo.ae need to look at their customer services in the UAE as it is terrible. No wonder you have got so many bad reviews everywhere!!!!!

The worst delivering company ever , the customer service is useless . I tried calling them to report a problem and they never picked up . I waited 3 hours for my food and at last they said it was cancelled due to the store is closed , but didnt mention in the app its closed

Order didn’t arrive even though it said delivered…no phone call or doorbell rang…500 aed order and not giving refund..

Avoid Deliveroo. Very bad. The customer service and its cannot resolve the issue.. I received a notification from app that my item was delivered but actually not. I did not received any call from the driver. I was waiting in my house for a long time. I am very upset left me without a solution. They said the driver has already delivered and thats it! They leave me a perception that they cannot do anything about it coz the driver has said so. They cant even show an evidence or photo that can help me to find the item. After all the discussions, i received an email that i wont get any compensation on this..very frustrating...

Avoid Deliveroo_ae! Tried to order original DubaiFix chocolate. Requested to Place at hotel reception, whole staff was informed before. Order wasn‘t delivered, driver said he was there, but Hotel confirmed nobody was there, so driver stole the chocolate and Deliveroo stole my money (100€!). No offer for a refund or a 2nd delivery attempt!

Deliveroo do not give tips to their riders.
Dont give tips in the apps.
Give them tip in cash please.

In other countries Deliveroo operates they insist on restaurants including allergen information. Here in UAE we are told to contact the retailer for any concerns about ingredients. This totally takes the convenience factor away and moreover many of the restaurants never answer their phones. For a company specialising in food delivery to not insist that restaurants include this basic info is madness.

WORST DELIVERY APP

I faced an issue with one of the items where it was rotted and had unbearable smell and the help from Deliveroo support was unbelievably poor. No matter what I wrote, they would just send me saved templates, making me feel like I wasn’t talking to a human. The salmon had a foul smell, and instead of helping, they said they couldn’t refund or assist me. I asked them to contact the shop and help me return the item, but they only provided me with the shop’s phone number. After multiple attempts, I was able to speak to the shop, and they agreed to take the item back and send a new one. However, according to them, Deliveroo should arrange for someone to pick up the item and deliver the exchange so again imagine instead of enjoying my food I was wasting my time with such useless support team, the shop tried to contact to arrange the pickup but they didn’t even answer their call.

Look at the kind of service you’re providing.

Disaster!!!
The goods did not arrive, and they are refusing a refund.
Customer service is an absolute disaster.
