Have just spoken to a lovely lady called Arlene from computershare who was very kind, helpful and friendly. Im about to retire and am nervous about that. I just needed some advice on what happens next with my company shares. Arlene patiently explained a few things to me for which I am truly grateful for.
issue dealt with quickly and efficiently
I telephoned computer share and spoke to Kayleigh (no Bots involved thankfully!)who looked into the issue I had with Unilever paper shares being sent to my home rather than them going electronically and directly to my stockbroker. Kayleigh took time to listen, make enquiries on the system and arrange a financial compensation for the added work I have now of transferring them to my broker. It was dealt with promptly and to my satisfaction. I did not hear whether measures have been put in place to prevent the same thing happening in the future.
Bereavement Management processes…
Bereavement Management processes grossly inadequate and ineffective.
Process for reporting a death is at best frustrating. Guidance on website is appalling.
Response time to queries is minimum of one week.
I have attempted to register my mothers death 3 times already without success.
The website is unhelpful in this process as the link for bereavement just takes you to an enquiry registration form.
Email responses from Computershare are unclear and unhelpful.
Process for managing bereavements should be clear and simple to follow, and demonstrate some recognition of the distress involved in dealing with a deceased relative's affairs.

If it was possible to give no stars at all, that's what I would have rated my experience. Nothing but incompetence either by phone or by post to eventually get someone who could locate my records. Very worrisome how this was handled - if I had not persisted and just took yer word for it that I had no holdings - wonder how many other unsuspecting holders or beneficiaries were fobbed off and didn't pursue, how many accounts have ye failed to comply with access requests... review dated 13.03 but this has been ongoing for 6 weeks

Eventually got the information I wanted…
Eventually got the information I wanted without too much hassle - once the chatbot realised it wouldn't be any use to me - and the agent was pleasant to deal with and tried hard to fix the issue. It takes a lot longer than a phone call but seeing as this is the way it's going now, was fine.
Data Not Found in Holding Location and No Solution
I still could not login into my Computershare and choose the Locate Holdings, although I have put both of the Holding names ( BRISTOL_Water Holdings UK Limited, OR BRISTOL Water PLC - as per stated in my Dividend Confirmation under my name ). So I can not continue to process the payment instruction , nor update my bank details (Sale All Shares). I really upset of this caused.
