The bereavement process is truly terrible, I have been passed around multiple areas & no one will take ownership. I asked for a bereavement pack and they sent me a letter directing me back to the website, I ask again for the bereavement pack via online and I get a letter directing me to the website.
At a time when families are going through difficult times this organization is the only company that does not have a dedicated team to help & clearly does not care.

Struggled to login at first
Struggled to login at first, the site repeatedly failed to issue the 2FA code, tried 30 mins later and it came through instantly. Once you get past the irritating AI bot Mussa answered my question immediately. Total wait in the online chat was under 5 mins so pretty good for peak-time on a weekday.
This company is a rip off!
This company is the worst to send your investments by far.
First,there is no customer service and when you do get a rep it seems every rep doesn't understand or speak English and if you have multiple stock they are unable to add.
Secondly, they state that there are no fees when you transfer your stock however as soon as you request a transfer you will be billed as a sale even though you keep asking for a transfer not a sale and if you have multiple investments and you ask for a transfer the charges really add up and because there is no customer service they just plainly RIP YOU OFF! Do not use this company thinking its a low charge company because in the end they really GET YOU!!!

I received prompt responses to my emails providing the exact info I requested re my shareholding (HSBC Holdings PLC) from the Customer Service Team (Mr I Afzal).
Impossible to do business with
I have been attempting for several months to sell shares belonging to my late father’s estate, and the process has been extremely frustrating and unclear.
Over this period, I have spent more than two hours on the phone, receiving inconsistent information on each occasion. This has resulted in over seven separate mailings, each containing different forms, with little to no explanation of their purpose or how they relate to one another.
Despite completing and returning multiple sets of documentation, there has been no progress. As a result, my brother and I, as joint executors, submitted a formal recorded complaint requesting that all shares be sold.
The response received today was vague and difficult to interpret, leaving me still uncertain about the required next steps. I have once again been directed to yet another set of forms, with no clear guidance on which are relevant or how to complete them correctly.
This experience has been deeply stressful at an already difficult time. I remain unable to sell the shares and feel left without clear support or direction. I am now considering escalating the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to be aware of the challenges involved.

The lady on the phone understood my problem, gave me good advice (problem involved a 40year or so issue with my name on share documents which only recently became an issue). The documents and covering letter I sent were dealt with very quickly in my opinion, documents safely returned by special delivery. Within 11 days all records updated and documents returned. Excellent!

Usual nightmare of talking to robots but when finally got through to a human being, my issue was resolved very quickly, 5 star service from Musa. Thank you sir.
Full disappointment.
Based on my experience service is absolutely unacceptable especially if you are located in another country, In my case in Canada. They start sending you from one department to another without deep understanding who can provide real help.
Written communication comes with very big delay and goes through tons of bureaucracy. They do everything to eliminate paying you even when amount of money is 3 digits. Unbelievable!
Dreadful phone answering system. one of the worst.
Long wait time on phone, and then link broke and call ended. I was offered call back, but when it came it was a message saying "sorry we cannot answer your call" and ended! The automated questions are very badly designed. The automatic voice endlessly and needlessly repeats the same irritating messages. When finally talking to a human they are capable and helpful, but everything else is truly dreadful.
