My conversation with an online agent…
My conversation with an online agent named Mussa went very well. He was able to answer my queries quickly, ensured there were no loose ends, and checked all other open items. Sadly, due to my location, I am unable to sell my shares online, but that is no fault of Mussa. He clearly shared what I can do.

Although my wait time was a bit long, I was able to get thgough to Mussa who helped me understand the issue that I couldn't understand and he also helped get in touch with a different department for a follow through. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks, Mussa!
Unable to get the forms needed to sell deceased estate shares
I am trying to get the forms needed to sell shares owned by my late father’s estate. I submitted an online form asking for the detailed forms I need to complete. Two weeks later I received an e-mail directing me to non existent forms on the website (I had already completed the only form available). I am therefore no further forward. This is in stark contrast to Equiniti which has dealt quickly and efficiently with the same requests
I’ve been dealing with my late aunts…
I’ve been dealing with my late aunts estate and I have found computershare the most challenging. You go round and round in circles with a chatbot, it’s really unclear what forms you need to complete and I can’t seem to get through to speak to anyone ! It would be nice to have a dedicated bereavement team, it’s already hard enough !

Being charged £135 administration fee…
Being charged £135 administration fee (almost 10% of the balance) for a transfer of remaining balance in my deceased mother’s account - the transfer originally failed because she had died and we closed her bank account. The Computershare payout was attempted after this (as we didn’t know about it!). No other company we’re dealing with is charging to help with resolving estate matters. An extortionate fee for a manual bank transfer that will take someone 30 seconds to “administer”.

Lack of respect in dealing with a death certificate
I gather that this company does not reply to negative reviews, which isn't a good start!
My late father in law had some Aviva shares, and his brother, my husband and myself have all been in touch to sell them.
Computershare requested a death certificate, which was duly and immediately sent, in a sturdy board reinforced envelope, containing a note and a label to send back the death cert in the same sturdy envelope.
No. The certificate was returned in a flimsy white A4 envelope and of course arrived creased.
This shows a complete lack of respect: a death certificate (which now cost £12.50 each) is not only proof of death, but a treasured item which families keep.
We have been horrified at your lack of care and thought.
I will update this review, depending of course on how Computershare respond to the email, and how long it takes to receive the remuneration for the shares.

Emanuela is a STAR
After leaving my employer, my employee share save schemes were split between Computershare and another company.
My share options had now expired and I've been trying to get my money returned from this other company, however, they are completely inept and have no idea what's going on or how to resolve the situation and eventually said that my money was with the company holding the savings, this is Computershare.
I contacted Computershare and spoke with Emanuela (I hope this is spelt correctly!) at Computershare, and what a lovely lady she is. She listened carefully, and sympathised with me over my frustrations in getting my money back.
Emanuela spent a great deal of time on the call with me trying to track down the current situation, finally coming back and confirming that, yes, Computershare did have my money as they were the savings holder, but the other company who were the administrator, had not requested the release of it.
Sadly there was nothing more she could do at this point.
The difference in which I was dealt with by Emanuela, is night and day compared with this other company, in which every point of contact has left me frustrated and actually led to me raising a complaint against them to the FCA.
