Collingwood have taken this review down as they know what they are doing, this incident was 2 weeks ago.
EXPLOITING YOUNG DRIVERS:
Feeling really deflated and exploited as a young driver, as an astonishing amount of money has been taken out off my account on top of the £25 a month i have been paying and the cancellation fee.
The large proportion of their brokerage fee that if you exit out early due to passing your test, you pay a large percentage of. This hidden fee of £75 is justified as being in the small print and apart of a business arrangement fee.
The small market for learners insurance allows them to exploit their position as the top recommendation and essentially keep this arrangement what feels like a ‘secret’.
Therefore, they have you backed into a corner, as part of the law, you have to cancel this policy as it is no longer valid once receiving your licence.
This feels unacceptable and unfair and i feel it would be very helpful for them to be more transparent about their policy as they are aware a large proportion of people will pass their test during the duration of their insurance.
Collingwood then cash in on all of these fees leaving young adults out of pocket along with the pre existing expenses of learning to drive.

I have had a terrible experience with this company getting insurance for my son. They are really hard to get hold of to make payment and their systems are not user friendly. I would choose someone else if you are looking for learner driver insurance for your child.
