Passwors Unable to be reset meaning unable to access account.
Had a very poor experience with collingwood learners. Yes it might be cheap but you cant reset your password when when inputting the 40 different things on your account. Doesnt send you a link and no way to say that youve passed online. In my opinion avoid.

Ryan - excellent customer service
Leaving a review as this is the third time I have used Collingwood for Learners insurance (child 3!), and Ryan was exceptionally helpful and friendly, and he called me back to arrange insurance on the day we needed it. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, so I wanted to leave him a review.

AVOID ! AWFUL !
My one star review has already been removed , avoid at all costs , absolute rip off , they advertise “cancel at any time “ policy but don’t tell you about the fee , my daughter passed her test in 3 months was then charged £120 cancellation fee after paying £78 for the initial payment then the £39 a month for the insurance, do your maths collingwood ! Extortionate! I just wish the one star reviews were the first ones available to view on trust pilot as people need to see what it’s actually like to have a learner policy with this company

New Learner Insurance options
The representative I spoke with was open and honest in her communication with me. Georgia answered the questions I had about the insurance. I had been put off by some of the review I had seen, where a number spoke of disappointment with the cancellation charges. I asked specifically about this issue and was advised that it impacted those who were paying on a monthly basis. As we were paying annually a cancellation fee or outstanding charges did not apply. Thus this is something that customers should clarify for themselves beforehand.. Georgie also confirmed that the insurance was only valid for Learner Drivers and that once they pass their test another policy would need to be taken out with another provider. Georgie was very helpful when adding an additional driver to the policy. All in all a positive experience and thus far happy with the policy.

Shocked by the charges once you pass
Unfortunately the policy is completely let down by cancellation charges. It feels like robbery to contact an insurance firm to end cover early and have further charges extorted from you. This may have been made clear at the outset to my daughter but was a shock to me who is the one paying. If they have to create a policy that inexplicably stings you for passing before a year is out then the call script should make you aware before you cancel so you can choose when you actually want to cancel rather than finding yourself in a situation where you are paying extra to leave a car at your property uninsured. They don’t even offer a follow on policy for once you’ve passed so it feels like a poorly conceived insurance offering. I have no knowledge of how the company would be if an accident did occur but experience of other companies with inexplicable cancellation charges is that such approaches transcend all aspects of the business and therefore being horrendously stung for addition admin and unexpected or illogical requests may be inevitable. Good luck to you all - not sure whether there is actually a good option out there.
