This is the best car hire company at knock airport, I never have any issues when collecting or returning any cars unlike other car hire companies I’ve used at knock airport

The condition of two hire cars that was collected from belfast international airport was a total disgrace.
The first car was rejected as the drivers door was bent after someone tried to force it open.
The second car wasnt washed and had a big score up the side of it.
The condition of these cars were a disgrace .
Never again .

Worst experience ever, I tried to use my BLACK MASTERCARD CREDIT Card with >€100,000.00 of limit and they didn’t accept it because the bank linked with it is a digital bank. Yes it is guys we are in 2026 and that account is an investment account and the bank is fully licensed and operates as a normal bank.
Next time change the policies and/or new staff training of card design misconceptions, fully licensed banks, luxury card, etc.
P.S. I have already used it in Greece, Spain, and Switzerland with different car rental companies, and I had no problems whatsoever. But in Ireland they are having some kind of misconceptions of it as far as I can see.

Budget car also operates avis and believe me their cars are dangerous to say the least. Broke down after 77km had to replace and the replacement had zero break pads. Staff at the desk rolled their eyes like it was my fault. I cancelled the booking and still ended up getting charged for using a un driveable car and I fear that they will try to hit me with further charges as the cash is not back in my account yet.

At Dublin airport arrivals yesterday afternoon I had a great experience with the lady at the arrivals desk. Friendly, polite and professional, moreso than at other companies I've used. I'll definitely recommend Budget to friends and family as a result.

Car hire was ideal to pick up when you land staff friendly MY ONLY BUT IS when you drop car off it parked with lots of other cars no one to check the car in you then take key back to office in the only hope nothing happens to the car after you leave it as you will be back home

I Recently used Budget at
Farranfore. I returned the car 3/4
Full as advised by staff when I
picked it up.
Yet I was still charged for a full tank
109 euros. They claim the tank was empty
I was also charged for windscreen
cover 22 euros. I didn't ask for this.
Basically they stole 130 euros from my credit card hoping I wouldn't notice.
This is the second time this has happened to me at Budget .
My advice is avoid this company.
They will rip you off 100%

Excellent: personnel on desk , condition and maintenance of car - tyres new , windscreen fluid full etc . Drop off personnel both efficient and helpful . I hire cars frequently in Europe - this outfit stood out .

Was charged approximately £250 over the agreed price. At the desk I declined any of their ‘extras’ but subsequently they were all added to my final bill. Stupidly I signed the agreement form as I trusted the representative at the booking desk. I didn’t think for one minute that any of my requests would be ignored. Once the signature is signed I don’t have a leg to stand on. A complete rip-off and tantamount to theft. Will never use them again.

Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The car was clean, ready and easy to find. Returning the car was straightforward and all the documents were emailed to me. Good value and no hard sell to upgrade.
