Librela killed my dog!
Librela killed my dog!! Only 1 shot of librela and 12 hours later my dog died!! Zoetis is trying to silence us!! Do not give your dog this shot please!!
if i could give them 0 i would
if i could give them 0 i would, this company refuse to take responsibility for the suffer of our pups, vets are telling this is a miracle drug no side affects, do not fall for it, please do your researcher, some dogs do good with the drug but to many are having horrible side affect and even dyeing, and still the company and the vets are promoting this drug like a miracle drug with no side affects. i lost my baby girl, and the guilt i have for giving her that because i trusted my vet and seeing her suffer is unbearable. please do your research
Librela is poison to many dogs
Librela is poison to many dogs! They are not transparent with the side effects on especially older dogs!! This can be a poison to older dogs, leaving them with horrific consequences, or death. Our personal story is our German Shepherd has DM and the vet recommended Librela. Now, he suddenly can’t walk, his hind legs are extremely weak. It has been an emotional roller coaster for my husband and I, seniors. Trying to help a 115 lb dog to walk with a lift harness in our 70’s, risking our own health. The vets are not providing factual information on this poison. Poison.
Librela Killed My Dog
My healthy dog was given one shot of Librela based on my telling the vet that he had a little trouble jumping on furniture. Had I done my research and not blindly trusted my vet (and likely what he was told by the manufacturer, that there were no side effects) my boy would still be with me. Instead he immediately stopped eating, became lethargic, liver and kidney values shot off the chart, and he passed 9 days later. DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG THIS DRUG, and if you do based on your own research, best of luck. The emergency vet who treated my dog in his final days concurred there was no other explanation for his decline except the shot.
Librela is Not the wonder drug
Currently trying to detox my Labrador from the librela injection due to side effects that I wasn't warned about and if I had been told I would never have a greed to use this. My boy is now on lots of other medication to assist with his recovery, if he recovers
Librela needs to be pulled from the…
Librela needs to be pulled from the market. It killed my sister’s dog after ONE injection. Since then I’ve read hundreds of stories with the same symptoms and death following shortly thereafter. Vets say it’s completely safe and when the dogs die, they say it’s unrelated to the shot. When comments are made on Librela’s social media regarding serious side effects, they are quickly removed. Zoetis needs to be held accountable for its deceptiveness. Class action suit is in the works, thank God.
Librela Killed My Dog!!
Negative stars!!! My dog, Hudson passed away unexpectedly 1 month ago today just after his 12th birthday. He was otherwise healthy and full of life but his joints were getting a bit stiff due to arthritis. Our vet highly recommended we try the Librela injection due to its rate of success and limited to no side effects. At first, he seemed to gain some mobility. He had 3 doses. Then, we slowly noticed some small changes but our vet brushed us off and blamed his age. I continue reading so many similar stories with other dogs. Hudson was everything to us, our son. It has been so hard 💔
He deteriorated rapidly in a 24 hour period. I rushed him to the ER vet that Sunday morning because he was lethargic and vomiting. They did every test possible (xrays, ultrasound, blood work, urine sample, etc.). Nothing to indicate anything major. They sent him home with anti-nausea pills but couldn't figure out why he was anemic and had a fever. I slept on the floor with him that night because he was too weak to come to bed. The next day, he couldn't stand or walk and could barely hold up his head to drink water. I took him back to the ER hospital and he passed away. There was nothing they could do. I really hope this drug is removed until further testing can be done. The amount of dogs dying with the same issues is unbelievable and not simply an age factor!! RIP my precious boy 💙
Pull Solensia and Librela off the…
Pull Solensia and Librela off the market!
0 stars!!!
My cat was fine apart from arthritis and spondylosis. My vet recommended Solensia. He got one shot and started to decline fast. Unable to defecate, breathe, walk and meow.
They found a malignant intestinal lymphoma, which was not there before the shot. I had to let him go and I am devastated.
There are so many side effects not mentioned. I wish I had never trusted my vet.
This injection is designed to attack proteins that create and worsen arthritis while at the same time it’s attacking their immune system which needs these proteins thus speeding up any underlying issues. Until they can target these proteins only to the specific area of arthritis you will have these problems. It’s time to pull this drug or tell the real truth about this drug.
This company is showing zero empathy…
This company is showing zero empathy for the trail of sickness and death it leaves in its wake. They claim to love animals, and yet continue to peddle their poisonous jab to vets all over the world. We demand they pull Librela back and do further research on how monoclonal antibodies affect various breeds and comorbidities, before more pet parents lose their loved ones.
Librela Side Effects. Be Careful
Librela was offered to me for my arthritic dog stating it had no side effects. First month she vomited bile. Second shot she had difficulty standing up, fell several times and her hind legs were losing muscle. We discontinued Librela. Thankfully we are lucky to have her almost 100% back.
Librela is a horrible drug with major side effects
ZERO Star is what they deserve, but no option for that! Librela is a horrible drug with major side effects and for some dogs, it has been fatal. There are Facebook pages with over 36,000 people on them and have only read approx 1 to 2% success stories. Yet Zoetis continues to promote Librela as a safe and "miracle drug" while our beloved pets are suffering. Encourage reader to go onto Facebook and lookup "Librela - The Truth", and "Librela Experiences" just to hear about the heart-breaking stories about what our beloved dogs are being put through all the while Zoetis continues to profit from this injection. Zoetis should be absolutely ashamed of themselves as they claim to care about our pets!. We must be the voice for our pets who can't speak for themselves and urge everyone to review the Facebook pages so you can see for yourself. Zoetis must take this drug off the market and do more testing!
These people make submitting receipts…
These people make submitting receipts nearly impossible! They make it so complicated and stressful!! You submit everything that's needed and still get refused and have to take time out of your day just to call and argue your very rightfully owed rewards! Just absolutely sick of it!! It's bad enough that the price of the apoquel is outrageous!!
Librela
My 13 Yr old Jrt got very sick 3 days after getting Librela. It was sold to me as a wonder drug, super safe, natural and with no adverse reactions.
Well it turns out it isn't wonderful nor is it super safe. Within 3 days of the injection my normally happy dog, became very unhappy. He suffered the following.
Anorexia, extreme Lethargy, depression, excessive drinking and peeing. Suffered 4 seizures. Anxiety, cognitive changes. Incontinence of urine and faeces. Gagging as if choking when drinking or eating. which I might add he had to be hand fed or he wouldn't eat anything. He went from 5.1kg to 4.6kg in 38 days.
He got an eye infection and upper respiratory tract Infection. He required veterinary attention several times to treat the symptoms. Librela has a very long half life and takes multiple weeks (60-80 +days) to clear from the body. He is now day 81 the symptoms have resolved, although his energy levels are still not quite where they were pre-Librela. I can say there were times I thought might little dog was going to die, the emotional and physical stress endured whilst counting the days down until this Biologic leaves the system. Is only comparable to a nightmare. It's absolutely draining.
If I could give a negative star I would. I definitely would not recommend this drug/biologic. It's not wonderful, not natural and not free from adverse reactions. What are the long term effects? Ah we don't know the trial was only nine months
Zoetis need to be transparent. Stop with the different data sheets and inserts in different countries.
I don't appreciate not being able to give I formed consent
Wish there was a “0” option
Wish there was a “0” option
My vet recommended Librela (manufactured by Zoetis) as “a safe, effective option” for my dog’s osteoarthritis, citing “no side effects”.
Unfortunately only after administration of the drug did I learn that there are indeed devastating and fatal adverse reactions. Such was the case with my girl. She began showing serious side effects in 24 hours and was gone in two weeks. Two agonizing weeks.
Zoetis is misleading people with false efficacy claims and ignoring (or hiding) anecdotal evidence regarding the safety of their product.
Corporate profits trump transparency and integrity and my sweet dog was just collateral damage I suppose.
Pull Librela from market
Pull Librela from market. It's killing dogs left and right. DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG LIBRELA. Look into this poison before anything
You do not even deserve 1 star
You do not even deserve 1 star. I lost my boy because of this horrible drug Librela.
He had his first and only shot Dec 3 and he declined quickly, he couldn’t walk , always panting. Do not give your dog this drug unless you can be completely ok if they end up dead . I am living with this guilt everyday.
Bad Side Effects
My dog received one shot of Librela and experienced side effects the very next day. The vet sold the med as having little/no side effects and completely safe. My dog started having peeing accidents the day after, falling over, and confusion--not knowing which front door was ours, etc. Previously her kidney values were fine. Two weeks later I took her back to the vet for scheduled vaccinations and her kidneys were failing. I finally lost her less than one month after the shot although her previous check ups were fine. I hear the same line, word for word, from other owners who were sold the same bill of goods from their vets-- "The dog wants to climb the fence the day after the shot." This must be the line that the pharmaceutical rep gives to push this poison.
Librela
My girl Bella, struggled to get to her feet or in the car on occasions, Bella loved life, walks, hugs, kisses. Bella was given one of your products on the 18/08/23 vets told me no side effects and Librela was the most expensive but the best and safest option for my girl. How wrong could the vet of been and me for listening and agreeing to what I believe to be poison to far to many dogs. Bella suffered terribly 6 days after jab, vomiting day 6 and panting exclusively, I never linked it at that point to Librela I assumed maybe she had a bug, I assessed her over night and that’s when she deteriorated early hours in morning, still panting and struggled to walk like she was drunk (wobbling and staggering) she was panting so hard, I rushed her to vet next morning as her face had swelled, panting, drooling, refusing food and water, couldn’t walk, green gunk in her eyes they were cloudy too. 1st vet was rude and dismissive so took her to different vet who never worked with this awful drug but tried to save Bella to no avail 😭. Bloods came back so poor, liver and kidney damage, blood sugars far to low, swollen face, told us blood wasn’t circulating around her body how it should be, couldn’t walk, would stand her up and her collapse, vet recommended that best and kindest option was to let her go as everything they were trying wasn’t working, 25/08/23 we said our hardest goodbyes. THIS DRUG LIBRELA NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED IMMEDIATELY! To many innocent dogs and owners are suffering at the hands of you and your product, when is something going to be done to avoid the heartbreak 💔 that i and thousands of others from all over the world are suffering. IF YOU DONT WANT HEARTBREAK AVOID ZOETIS AND LIBRELA AT ALL COSTS !! Wished I did!!
Librela injection
My dog died three weeks after second Librela shot. Started with drinking a lot, peeing a lot. During the night wanted more and more outside. His backhand became weak could not jump in the couch no more. Ataxie and in the end incontinent. The vet did here best all kind of research but he put his breath down in the night of 13-2-2024. He became 10 years old and was only with arthrosis
😭
Have some integrity.
The two opening questions listed in this block before you begin typing are: “what went wrong this time” and “what can this company do to fix it?”
Good lord, get your popcorn, because the show is about to begin.
I’m in the southeastern US. My happy, 10 year old dog was treated 1-2 days per month for mild to moderate pain. I was told by my veterinarian… who was told by Zoetis, this was a very safe drug that was easier on the liver and kidneys than Dercoxib. We were told there had been only minor side effects reported, such as pain/swelling at the injection site. My amazing dog died a horrible death 17 days after his first Llibrela injection. During the 17 days of hell after the shot, I was frantically searching for answers. Librela is a long acting anti-nerve growth factor monoclonal antibody that is in stage IV trials in the US. (Yes, your dog is being used as their lab rat). Nerve growth factor is present in virtually every organ and system of the body. It helps maintain homeostasis, repair damage, fight infection, plus performs a host of other functions. Librela blocks nerve growth factor, so you can imagine the turmoil produced in the body if librela goes off target and settles in the wrong organ, system or in a combination of areas. Your dog implodes. There is no known reversal, it takes around 100 days to leave the system but the damage that it does can be irreversible or deadly.
Now here’s the fun part… Zoetis markets this exact same drug in several countries and it has been available in Europe, the UK and Canada a 2-3 years. When I first read the adverse effects listed in the Canadian package insert I was horrified and astounded to see the number and severity of the adverse reactions listed. My precious dog was suffering almost all of them.
So dear Zoetis, here’s what you can do to fix it: be honest and transparent about known risks and adverse reactions associated with Librela. Package inserts should be consistent regardless of the country. You have information about known risks but are not making them available willingly to all your customers. That’s simply selling your soul at the expense of animal safety just to earn a dollar and it is disgusting. In the spirit of animal safety pertaining to your transparency, honesty and integrity, just do better.
