My wife and I were Verizon customers…
My wife and I were Verizon customers for decades. While we weren't thrilled with the service, we had a plan that was less than the competitors, that is until a couple of months ago. Our rate went from $100/month including taxes and fees to $125/month. Their rationale is that they could no longer offer us the service at that rate due to increasing costs. So, Verizon thanks their long term customers with excessive rate increases.
Over the past year we have had reduced phone coverage in our home in an eastern Mass city. One or two bars is the best we could get. We switched to Pure Talk and now have 3-4 bars at a lower price.
Verizon may rely on simple inertia to maintain their customer base. PureTalk made the transition easy.
Extremely poor customer service
I’m leaving Verizon after months of frustrating service, unexpected charges, and promises that were never followed through. Getting a clear answer from customer support was extremely difficult, and I was repeatedly given the same scripted responses without any real solution.
I would leave zero stars if I could
I would leave zero stars if I could. I’m still paying for a Pixel 8 Pro I bought through Verizon. After an update, its Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and hotspot all stopped working. Verizon’s proposed solution was for me to pay off the phone and buy another one. Why would I do that when this one has failed before I’ve even finished paying for it?
They did suggest that I buy the phone protection, then wait a 35 day cooling off period then submit my claim. Sounds a little unethical.
I tried to get help through chat twice yesterday. Each conversation lasted about two hours. The first representative gave me the wrong phone number to call, then stopped responding. I tried again, and after another two hours, that representative stopped responding too.
I’ve found numerous reports of similar Pixel 8 Pro problems, including connectivity issues and overheating. After 24 years as a Verizon customer, I expected better support. It looks like T-Mobile is getting a new customer. Goodbye, Verizon.
I have Verizon and I am leaving due to…
I have Verizon and I am leaving due to horrible service, hidden fees, broken promises a robot who has no answers and just repeats you and gives you gibberish that does not give you answers does not give solutions continues to just repeat the obvious which is what you tell them. Now I am aware this is tactic being used by intelligence agencies because there is no way that when I call I cannot speak to anyone ever and it is the exact same robotic person that sounds like an uneducated, black woman, and I’m not saying black women are uneducated. I’m saying it sounds like a black woman and it sounds like someone who’s uneducated at the same time. And so to add insult to injury they made promises for credits and things on my bill due to issues that were caused by the system, their products, equipment and agents, mind you these were issues that had nothing to do with the customer, which is myself, yet not only did they fumble the ball and not keep to one single promise, not provide not one single day of help because whatever they offered only cost me more because the bill continue to rise instead of giving me some relief and credit for me doing my part, honoring every promise to Pay and honoring them on time yet I could not get treated fairly and like a loyal customer, they claimed and know that I am. This was the most unreliable and useless attempt to be a lawyer customer to and entity who is not loyal to their customers. However, this did not disturb me. It does not anger me because there are 1000 companies out there to provide what we need if they think that costing me more money is depleting my resources, unnecessarily, causing me stress and all this and that it is not working, so you undercover devils with you organizations that help you try and cause people to appear to be mentally ill as they say or losing it are better yet having a hard time because you’re purposely trying to sabotage their life through these programs that they think we don’t know about to leave us behind, but that will never work because we understand how you operate and money is meant to be spent and we will always find a way because you forgot I am an African-American woman which means I am accustomed to coming up with solutions to problems for survival which makes me someone you cannot ever hold back. You only make me stronger and steal what I have in others so they will rise up in my place. Some of you will not understand what this is about, but I’m making it known for those who do so they know that I was being targeted to even through my phone provider because there was no excuse for the way I was treated yet I was spending my money and holding to every promise that I made to spend my money for service that was undeserving of my loyalty so I would not advise anyone to waste their time with Verizon whether you are on their watchlist or not. So I found a greater service more reliable service, faster, service, and loyalty because where my service is now my family has stock in it so they’re not going to play against their stockholders children or relatives. Because the stockholders are the business and they’re not going to lose their business at least their investors are not going to lose billions of dollars behind an organization that is secretly targeting people through a public agency so what is a public agency doing creating secret programs within a public agency “GANG STALKERS” and
CoinTelPro “I AM NOT A GANG MEMBER, nor have I ever been. Now get a real job watching stalking and disrupting the lives of real gang members.
Customer Service is frustrating and…
Customer Service is frustrating and unhelpful. Before a customer can even talk to a representative, there are multiple layers of questions from non-humans that have to be answered in order to go forward. Since these are tech-persons, there is no way to get around the inane questions being asking. Levels of frustration and disservice are enormous. Once a customer is finally through the waiting period (for me recently, 40 minutes), a representative does come on the line. The representative then had to “verify” multiple items I had already provided to the non-humans. Then I was told I would get an account review (not asked it I wanted one), and put on hold again. The rep came back on the line and suggested upgrading my account. I was repeatedly thanked for my many years of loyalty (why am I so loyal?). The rep kept asking sugary questions such as “How is your day going?” when it was obvious that I was irritated with his stalling. After several more holds “to look up more information,” he finally could answer the simple question I called in for. When I asked for his supervisor so that I could complain about the wait time, I was put on hold so that he could “document the complaint.” I was on hold so long, I finally hung up.
Verizon sucks!!!!!
I have waited over 3 months to have…
I have waited over 3 months to have VERIZON bury the line. Cannot cut the grass as wires are in the way. I have been promised 10 different dates with ZERO results. But what is worse is their AI. It understands NOTHING and I am not exaggerating have tried since 10 am to contact someone. ANYONE. Nothing. Then they ask what is this for. Then they hang up. Then they say long waits, we will call you back. They do and again put you on hold. It's 3:20PM wasted most of my day and am nowhere.
Watch out for ANY company with NO customer support or good phone number to call someone. Its a clear sign that it is only about their profit and NOT YOU. Disgusting customer service BS saying to improve our service. You cannot improve what is non existent.
I am stunned that a company of this size can treat paying customers in that manner
Verizon Digital Voice has been a…
Verizon Digital Voice has been a complete disaster. The customer service is awful. I set up all digital phones via network switches. The installation team "on-site" did absolutely nothing. Trying to setup extensions between users and departments has been useless. Keep your regular line phones OR find out a digital voice service that will actually provide some service after the sale.
Absolutely unacceptable customer support
Web site not recognizing my credentials I've used for years. Tried 'reset password' and was informed it would be sent to me by SNAIL MAIL! Called Verizon support, and after navigating through myriad menus and bots I was never able to talk to a human. To remedy the credentials problem the bot wanted to reboot my whole Verizon system. This is unacceptable. Have been contemplating cutting the cable, and this may be the straw that breaks the camel's back,
Verizon is notorious for pushy sales…
Verizon is notorious for pushy sales teams concerning small businesses. They push added lines for "greater pricing and discounts". However, it leads to unwarranted, unnecessary charges that escalate every year. Then try to dispute charges... forget it. Terrible company. Terrible customer service. Try to call to report problems and stay on the phone for an hour and a half, getting pushed off to one rep after another, while each one says something different. GO ELSEWHERE!

They keep hiking their prices every year, though customer service and connection quality is totally inadequate. Avoid at all costs
How Difficult is it to login or reset a password?
The worst of the worst companies that make you go in LOOPS to try to login and when you want to reset your login, you are taken back to the main page and NO where near the password change page...
I got the request many times sent to my phone, stating close this page and go back to the page where you initiated the request, I got back and clicked on GOT IT and then sent back to the login page without being able to change my password.
LOOP after LOOP after LOOP after LOOP... Multi Billion dollar company does not have a decent password reset setup. What a shame... I switched back to Verizon to qualify for new phones since my previous company T-Mobile decided not to give me an offer for new phones, I will switch companies soon because the heart ache is NOT worth it with the WORST telecom company in the entire universe.
I wish I hadn't switched to Verizon... don't get their services unless you want to get upset quite often...
also for the price increase every year on my internet, I've told them I wanted to lowest available service, I don't care about high speed and they keep on charging more and not keeping the same price for the same 300Mbps U/D which was 150Mbps U/D and they upgraded me and increased my price.. Every year I have to call and plead to them that I have the same shitty speed that I wanted for the lowest price and you keep bumping up the price... I didn't ask to be bumped... I am not a gamer or an avid user of high speed, simple streaming and regular browsing... that is it... What a dump of a company....
Horrible customer service!
Their customer service has gone down the tubes in the past couple years. It is now impossible. I can't even get a simple question answered like why my bill increased? Time to switch carriers! They aren't worth what they charge!
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service ! The app sucks. It never works.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Upon checking the transfer PIN, it appears there is a system glitch on our end. I kindly ask for your patience as we work to resolve this issue, which should take a few hours. In the meantime, if you prefer, you can visit the nearest Verizon store, where our representative will be happy to assist you.
So bad. Never again with Verizon
Verizon Wireless refused to cancel my…
Verizon Wireless refused to cancel my line 407------0284 and blocked the return of a device they promised as “FREE”. Representatives gave misleading, contradictory information for over an hour, and billing continued despite my lawful request. This is deceptive, unlawful, and a violation of FTC law, FCC regulations, and Florida FDUTPA. I am escalating to Small Claims Court, FTC, FCC, and Florida AG. Consumers beware!
Don't use Verizon
Don't use Verizon. My free internet trial was horrible. Instant getting bill for the free trial. They ruined my perfect credit for almost a year. I started getting hacked, scams, Verizon trolls and a bill. I wish I would have saw all the poor reviews about Verizon before I wasted my time. The debt collection agency saw Verizon's, (Elmwood street, South Lansing Michigan's) deception almost a year later and canceled my free trial debt! Verizon is evil. Smh.
Not what it is hyped to be
I have been a customer for 25 years and no loyalty from Verizon. Their billing has continued to increase substantially and you can pay 400 to 500 dollars monthly easily. This is what I did for years until I found myself struggling to pay it. Reluctant to leave thinking they are the best out there. I noticed the past year my phone was not operating as it used to where others were functioning with no problem when navigating the internet. I called with concerns knowing I have the premium plan, this should not be. I also noticed I had a lot of hidden charges, other family members as well and no assistance or interest in helping to lower the bill. I arranged for a payment plan following all guidelines as I have in the past. This month they decided not to honor the payment plan and cut my phone off anyway. I was without service for 3 days. We all know what that is like. As soon as I restored service I immediately went to T-mobile and it was the best thing. Their service is phenomenal navigating the internet swiftly and no problems with drop calls and I don't have to rely on wifi calling. Trust that is garbage. My bill is 2/3 less paying $130 a month for TWO lines guaranteed for the next 5 years. I am telling you Verizon is a RIP OFF providing less than average phone service. People like me and thinking other service is no better. Believe this, some probably not better, but T-Mobile has them BEAT and you will be paying much less. THANK YOU VERIZON FOR DISCONNECTING MY SERVICE, IF YOU HADN'T I WOULD STILL BE THERE OVER PAYING FOR LESS THAN SERVICE. Literally Thank you! I moved Family with me and they are paying $170 for THREE LINES don't believe check them out for yourself.
Gabbie was absolutely fantastic
Gabbie was absolutely fantastic. She was patient, understanding and when she could see that the 56 year old Veteran she was helping was completely clueless on the technology of his new phone she was capable of dumbing it down enough for me to get a basic grip on how to work this NASA device. I need it to ring when someone calls and that call not to be some d-bag selling car warranties. Those calls are blocked now from India along with all the other Bozo spam calls. Did I mention Gabbie friggin ROCKS man??!!!
Unreliable Protection Plan & Poor Customer Support
My wife had to replace her phone through Verizon’s protection plan with Asurion. The first replacement phone only lasted two to three days, so we had to request a second replacement.
During this process, Verizon sold my wife a Home Protection Plan, making it sound like something she needed for the phone — which it wasn't. When we realized the mistake and called to cancel that plan, Verizon mistakenly canceled both the Home Protection Plan and the actual phone protection plan — without notifying us.
Now the second replacement phone has failed (still within its one-year warranty), but Asurion refuses to honor the protection plan because Verizon had dropped the policy. When we contacted Verizon for help, they couldn’t provide details about who handled the call or offer any notes on what was said. Because of their mistake, we’re unable to get the phone replaced.
The only thing Verizon offered was a standard trade-in deal, which still requires us to pay out of pocket — essentially the same deal anyone would get without having had insurance. It completely defeats the purpose of having paid for a protection plan in the first place.
In the end, we paid over $300 into Verizon and Asurion’s protection plans and now have to spend $650 for a new phone — putting us out almost $1,000. Had we skipped the plan and saved the money ourselves, we’d be much better off. We would have had to only put up half the price of a new phone. It’s clear that Verizon is more interested in maximizing profits than taking responsibility for their mistakes.
Verizon's mistake was very costly on us.
What is Verizon?
What is Verizon?
What does that word even mean?
Veri Zon?
Ve Rizon?
Regardless of the meaning of the word they chose to name their business, one thing shines through like the rays of sun on a bright summer day: They are a terrible business.
Verizon used to be in the business of offering cable service to customers. That pretty much ended when customers learned of other, more affordable options, and customers began to "cut the cord" and bail on Verizon for more affordable internet service.
That resulted in a mass exodus of customers leaving for greener pastures.
Today, Verizon specializes and works hard at one thing and one thing only: Trying to persuade customers to stay with Verizon, while at the same time attempting upsells.
No matter what you call in for - service down, need to cancel, bad customer service experience, technical issue - Verizon reps will attempt to upsell you to a new plan. That's all they do now. Doesn't matter if you call and tell them your dog has fleas - they'll try to upsell you - have a pain in your foot? No problem, we have a new plan for you!
Problem is, Verizon just plainly sucks at everything they do.
This is my opinion.
To Whom It May Concern,
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my serious concerns about a recent and unacceptable experience at your Victra location involving the store manager, RJ, and one of his employees.
During a store visit, my wife was pressured by an employee into purchasing items on my account—items I had not approved, authorized, or requested. These charges were made under misleading pretenses and without my direct consent. This kind of upselling — especially to someone not listed as the primary account holder — is deceptive and completely unacceptable. She was made account holder the day of the upsell behind my back.
When I raised this issue with RJ, the store manager, he offered to apply credits to my account in exchange for me removing my negative review. He stated that if the review remained, his employee would be fired and he would no longer be the manager. This kind of offer is inappropriate and unprofessional. Rather than focusing on resolving the issue with honesty and accountability, RJ tried to negotiate silence. That is a serious red flag regarding his leadership and ethical standards.
After considering the situation fully, I believe that RJ should no longer be in a management role, and that the conduct of both he and his staff warrants a full internal review.
I expect the following:
An investigation into this incident
Reversal of all unauthorized charges
Accountability for the employee’s and manager’s conduct
Confirmation that corrective action has been taken
If not resolved appropriately, I will escalate this to Verizon corporate and relevant consumer protection agencies.
Sincerely,
Jesus Oranuena
