We’ve just completed our purchase of a property marketed by Symonds & Sampson, dealing primarily with Julie Moore. They were brilliant from start to finish and in particular were really proactive, speaking to parties up and down the chain in order to keep things moving. They were also just thoroughly pleasant to deal with. As I was the buyer it’s worth noting I wasn’t actually Symonds & Sampson’s client so they didn’t owe me anything, but I think it’s a mark of their professionalism that they built such a good relationship with me as buyer in order to deliver for their client.

We have just sold our property in Bridport with the expert assistance of Isobella Rumsby.

We have sold our own property and decided to rent a bigger property.
We chose to view a property that Symonds and Sampson (Poundbury office, Dorchester) were offering.

The viewing was arranged very quickly and when we attended, the lady that showed us around (Rosie Thorpe) was extremely professional and knowledgeable.

We immediately applied to rent said property, and Rosie kept us informed of the application progress throughout start to finish.

Once Rosie informed us that our application was successful, we were obviously very pleased.

My wife then asked if we have the measurements of the windows to be able to purchase Curtains in advance.

Rosie informed us that she did not have a record of the window sizes. However, exceeding expectation, she said that she would let us in the property again so we could measure up in advance of the move.

She met us at location and was very patient whilst we did the measurements.

Rosie’s customer service was amazing and she is a credit to her employers.

I recommend any person looking to rent a property, Symonds and Sampson are total professionals.

I’ve instructed Symonds and Sampson twice now, and on each occasion the staff have been incredibly helpful. This latest move has been quite the most stressful I’ve ever undertaken, plagued as it has been by unnecessary delays and a marked lack of timely engagement from some in the chain.
Shula has consistently kept me informed and has regularly battled on my behalf. She has had to put up with a lot - not least of all my tendency to lapse into very bad language when things drifted (through no fault of hers!). Andy has also been extremely effective during the prolonged process and, like Shula, has frequently and forcefully intervened to try and speed things up.
Overall, I cannot fault Symonds and Sampson. The Sherborne office staff are cheerful and supportive and I have been most grateful for their help.
Should I ever decide that Rutland is not for me, I would have no hesitation in asking them to act for me again.

We viewed several properties with Symonds & Sampson and eventually ended up purchasing a property listed through them.
The sales negotiators were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, it was clear they had taken the time to understand the property details and sellers positions.
Communications have been easy and clear, with responses to queries received promptly.
With hindsight, we wish we had selected Symonds and Sampson to sell our property and they will be top of our list should we find ourselves needing to sell again in the future.

We have just purchased a house in Poundbury and have received excellent help and support from Peter Grout-Smith and team at the Poundbury office.
We don't envisage moving again but Symonds & Sampson would be our first choice if we did.

Peter Grout Smith and his team were very proactive in finding genuine prospective buyers for our property on Poundbury, during what was at the time of first marketing the property, a volatile market. They provided regular updates on viewings and feed back from the viewers and were always available to answer our questions and to reassure us, right up to completion on 20/05/2024.

We sold our much-loved family home of over 40 years through the Sherborne S&S office. The team were absolutely brilliant from start to finish: from James doing the valuation visit, then Amy & Shula coming to measure and sort the details, we were on the market very quickly with a great brochure.
Shula was our main contact and was brilliant at keeping in touch about viewings, feedback and then the lych pin between us and our Buyers. She worked so hard on our behalf, between us, the Buyers, both sets of Solicitors, to get everyone organised for completion. Super efficient, super friendly and lovely to deal with.

Having just purchased a house through Shula at your Sherborne branch, I can confirm that I have received excellent customer service during my entire transaction.
