Ski Beat packages include a catered ski chalet, many with roaring log fires and your dedicated chalet host will cook delicious breakfasts, prepare afternoon tea & homemade cake and serve freshly prepared 3 course evening meals with unlimited wine during dinner.

We feature over 40 chalets across seven high snow sure resorts in France. Our chalets cater from 6 to 15 guests, although combined properties in the same building can cater for groups of up to 50 guests.

Our resorts include: Val Thorens, La Tania, La Rosiere, Val d’Isere, la Plagne, Les Arcs, Arc 1950, Peisey Vallandry. Our ski areas include: Paradiski, Three Valleys.

Jamie was a great host,fantastic food and a well run chalet.
The val d'isere chalet was in an excellent location in La Daille, just a short walk to and from the gondola and the Funival funicular.

Best ski trip ever

Just arrived home from our stay in the Ski Beat chalet Gentiane, Peisey Vallandry, Les Arcs.
We travelled as a large family group of 9 adults, a toddler and 3 infants.
The chalet was perfect for our group, homely and welcoming, lots of everything.
Comfy beds, clean rooms. Good sized boot room, ski to door location. Literally everything we could ever have needed was there.
Emily, our host, was so warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic and plentiful as was the wine.
The red eye flight out was a bit of a problem to our group, but the pay off was a quick couple of runs once we got there so it was worth it.
We couldn't work the tv, but it really wasn't a problem as we just chattered the nights away.
We weren't able to ski on one day due to so much snow falling, but still managed to have fun building the toddler a snow house and sledging
The only thing wrong with our trip was that it ended...can't wait to come back.

Average experience

Average experience. There are better ski package providers out there. Chalet was average, food was good. Val Thorens is probably expensive. Chalet was in a good location. Last year, Skiworld provided a better chalet, service and experience overall.

Val Thorens is one of the most sought-after resorts in Europe, and pricing across the resort reflects this. We do, however, work hard to ensure our chalets offer both comfort and convenience within this market.

Extremely Disappointing – Serious Food Safety Concerns

We’ve just returned from a chalet ski trip with Ski Beat in La Rosière, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.

Overall, everything about the trip felt average at best but the food and drink situation was genuinely unacceptable.

The most concerning issue was that my wife was served cream that had expired in 2023. The expiry date was clearly printed on the label. This immediately made us question what other ingredients may have been used past their date in the preparation of our meals. Shortly after, my wife was ill for three days, and a couple of others in our group also experienced stomach upset.

For a catered chalet experience, basic food hygiene and safety should be non-negotiable. Serving expired dairy products is completely unacceptable.

In addition, the red wine that was served throughout the week was left open and uncovered all day. Whenever we entered the kitchen during the afternoon, the bottles were sitting there open, only to be served again at dinner. This happened for the entire duration of the stay. It felt careless and unprofessional.

We expected much higher standards from a company like Ski Beat. Sadly, this trip did not deliver value for money, and the lack of attention to basic food safety has left a very sour impression.

Would not recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with Ski Beat in La Rosière.

We are very sorry to hear that aspects of your holiday did not meet your expectations. Food safety and hygiene are extremely important to us, and we take any concerns of this nature very seriously. We were concerned to read your comments regarding the soy cream and would like to reiterate that this should not have happened. As soon as this was identified in resort, the host apologised and carried out an immediate check of all remaining stock. We understand this was an isolated oversight; however, we fully appreciate that this falls below the high standards we expect and that our guests deserve.

Our host was not made aware of any illness from anyone, while you were in resort, they routinely asked how guests were feeling each morning. Had you advised us, it would have allowed us to provide support where needed.

Regarding the wine, we follow a standard practice whereby red wine may be decanted and used over a limited period in line with our guidelines. This is not a food safety issue, although we appreciate it may not have met your expectations.

We take food safety, guest experience and feedback seriously. However, we do feel it is important to provide context, as the issues described do not reflect the wider experience of the week or the feedback received from other guests.

Good but could be great

Good but could be great. Need to make travel experience much better to move up in my ratings. Considering prices have risen significantly across the board I would say experience has actually gone down a little. Obvious corner cutting. Poor experience with travel which whilst it affects all operators there are ways to smooth this out and they should put some pressure on airport operations to improve bottlenecks. For example in our situation we have 4/5 flights all trying to ingress at the same time but only 2 staff checking passports consequently the flight could not leave because most of the passengers were in the passport queue… airports must do better. We will be driving again next time, take’s longer, yes a bit but at least we can stop eat and go to the loo when we want to without waiting in constant queues. On arrival we found out we would have to wait for a later flight (why did we not know this before we booked?) made the 3.5 hr transfer over 5.5 hrs… would have chosen alternative!

We appreciate your comments regarding travel, as we understand this can have a significant impact on the overall holiday experience. However, airport operations, including passport control and security, are managed independently and remain outside of our control. Whilst delays can be frustrating, these are not specific to Ski Beat.

In relation to your flight and transfer, timings can occasionally be subject to operational changes. We do aim to communicate all confirmed details as clearly as possible in advance, and we are sorry if you felt this was not clear at the time of booking.

We would also like to clarify that we have not reduced our level of service or value. We continue to invest in our chalets, staff and guest experience, and this remains a key focus for us.

We understand that different travel options suit different guests, and we respect your decision to drive in future if this better meets your needs.

This was our second year with ski beat

This was our second year with ski beat. The chalet was very clean and warm .Easy access to the bus, funicular, and bubble. The food was excellent. Our chalet host Kat was brilliant with the children ,and very helpful.

Sadly lacking on most counts…

Sadly lacking on most counts…
after many years coming to La Tania with Ski Beat, the standard has plummeted.
One host with occasional help not appropriate for a 15 people chalet. Our room had not been cleaned, no welcome drinks or canapés 1st night ( but delivered on 2nd night) food not great, wine not flowing, no port on cheese night… a distinct sense of cost cutting!
Granted, they were one Host down, but as guests we should not have had to take such a drop in standards or even be aware.
…If a garment purchased has a fault, one would expect that it be discounted!!

Fabulous week at Chalet Hibou des Neiges :-)

What a great week with friends at the cozy and brilliantly located Hibou des Neiges! :-) Ski hire was right in the building making pick up and drop off really easy. The village was just perfect for us, interesting bars and shops, and skiing straight from and to the door! Sarah, our chalet host, was also a delight, helping make my wife's 60th birthday really special. Gorgeous cakes and food! We'll be back!

Inexperienced staff with no support - what could go right?

Chalet Jonquille sleeps 15 and last year was staffed by two experienced hosts who delivered what the company promised. This year, the single host had gone for some reason and we got a lovely young guy who did his very best on his own with occasional support from other young guys. Only on the last day did a solid host turn up and what a difference! So, before that, rooms not ready on day 1, no welcome drinks on day 1, rooms not cleaned, no attempt to learn guest names, poor briefings, breakfast put in the middle for a free for all, evening meals poorly prepared, coffee not made - a guest took on that task - no port on the cheese and port night, ski locker out of bounds for several days. Only one management visit, to take complaints, who only met the other group in the chalet and who did not return except to drop off some chocolates and fizzy wine for another free-for-all.
I want my money back.

During your stay, we did provide some fizz, nibbles and chocolates, along with a complimentary massage each of you, however we fully appreciate that this did not make up for the shortcomings you experienced. We also understand that issues with linen availability, caused by previous guests helping themselves, contributed to the difficulties at the start of your stay.

Our Resort Team is fully aware of the situation and will be addressing all of the issues raised. We are truly sorry that your holiday did not meet expectations. Please be assured that your feedback has been taken seriously and will be used to ensure improvements are made.
