I had a very stressful time dealing…
I had a very stressful time dealing with equiniti in March as they lost my certificates for 2 of my shares then wanted to charge me for them losing my certificates. I of course refused but the remaining shares weren't sold when they were supposed to and I lost money through their delay. I recommend anyone selling shares do it through a broker as you need proof that you sent the certificates, I'd photographic evidence and recorded delivery that still wasn't enough for equiniti. So it's been a very bitter experience dealing with equiniti and I lost money through their delay.

Third time of calling had really helpful response
I tried 3 times to get through. First 2 calls lots of background noise and no clear explanation and line was cut off mid way through call. Third call I got through to Nick who was extremely helpful and answered all my questions in a friendly, knowledgeable and coherent manner.

Keep good records
I have had a mixed response in my dealings trying to sell my late husband’s shares with many telephone calls as I prefer human not digital responses.
Waiting time for calls to be answered varied a lot as calls back do not work for me as I am out and about at unpredictable times.
I have often been given confusing and, to me seemingly conflicted advice, until I came upon Stalin Elias. At last clear, supportive instructions going through the forms in detail. Listened to my tail of woe carefully, apologised but didn’t make a meal of it and solved problem. He deserves a bonus!

It took me 4 previous attempts to get an agent to respond to my chat. I’ve been left waiting for over an hour and then the chat ended without being transferred.
Today, on my 2nd attempt I finally got through to the correct agent and my enquiry was dealt with quickly and resolved the issues I had. Great service when it works!
