Called because my online access was blocked. Very helpful to start with - after checking my ID etc - and set up a new login. System then needed my upload new proof of ID. At that point I was told I needed to call another department. Odd. So I called a second number and was told it takes 24-48 hours to send me an email to use to then upload my ID. Inefficient and not very customer focused.

J'ai plus de 25,000 £ d'actions gérées par Equiniti. Impossible de les revendre! Inadmissible! Alors qu'il existe bien un site internet avec l'option "vendre". Mais je suis en France, tout se fait uniquement par courrier. Et cela ne suffit pas! J'ai renvoyé mes certificats originaux ainsi que leur document de vente d'actions, ils m'ont tout retourné disant qu'ils n'avaient pas pu vérifier mon identité. Je dois tout renvoyer une 2eme fois, les mêmes informations que j'ai déjà envoyées, ainsi que les certificats mais ils demandent en plus des documents originaux (Passeport / carte d'identité, documents financiers) ou certifiés conformes! On marche sur la tête. A l'ère du tout numérique, cette entreprise ne fonctionne qu'avec de la paperasse par courrier!
Et pendant ce temps, impossible de récupérer son argent!
Ce n'est pas tout, pour le paiement, si vous avez de la chance de recevoir votre argent, cela ne se fera même pas par virement mais par chèque. Toujours par courrier donc. MAintenant, allez encaisser un chèque de 25,000 £ sur votre compte français en €. Bon courage! Beaucoup de banque ne prennent pas les chèques en devises! Tous ces frais, de paperasse, d'envoi en recommandé, de photocopies, de certification conforme se fait évidemment à nos frais.
Cette société fonctionne uniquement à coups de formalités absurdes et semble tout faire pour empêcher les clients de récupérer leur argent! Quelle honte!

After I wrote a review about Equinity paying in cheque’s which can not be cashed by non uk citizens, they replied.
In this reply Equinity states that “we understand the significant frustration etc” and “we are reviewing the process for non-UK citizens receiving payments to prevent similar issues in the future”.
From this answer I understand there is no solution for me and I therefore have some final questions.
1. Is there anything I can do with my cheque, which represents a value of almost £3700 or can I scrap it?
2.Why does Equinity pay non Uk clients in cheque’s, knowing there is absolutely nothing they can do with it?
3. We are in 2026, why do non-UK clients have to communicate via post (write a letter, buy an envelope, buy a stamp, bring it to the local post office, wait a week or so for the answere)?

Reason for asking this questions via Trustpilot is that Equinity does not reply to my complaint I filed on their own website.

Today's agent was able to resolve 2 issues for me which was really good. However, both those issues should have been resolved by other staff/departments some time ago. I can't in good conscience give today's agent a low mark but the overall experience has not been a 5.
