Dear Rightio Customer Service Team,

I’m writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the inadequate service I received as part of your care package.

At the end of June, I contacted Rightio due to a leaking concealed toilet in my rental flat. Your plumber's initial attempt to fix the issue didn’t solve the leakage, which later caused further water damage in several rooms. I had difficulty reaching your service line, and eventually had to hire another plumber at my own expense. He found that the cistern was the real issue, and the repair cost me £690.

I was also not aware that the care package would lock me into a long-term contract until 2028. Given the inconvenience and lack of transparency, I'm requesting a reimbursement of the costs and cancellation of the package.

Diagnostic
Investigate and diagnose cause of leak from the concealed cistern; leak found to be the fill valve which is continuously dripping water
into the cistern and not shutting off.
This is causing the water to rise in the cistern and drip through the cistern holes and then drop down through the cistern holes and leak
onto the floor and this is continuous due to the fill valve co Stanton dripping and not shutting off.
*This issue has had two visits from separate plumbers from RIGHTIO who have incorrectly diagnosed used the issue as the flush valve
and condensation both of these are incorrect diagnostics

The very helpful engineer came to service our boiler. However, it turned out that the boiler was leaking carbon monoxide and so he condemned the boiler and we are unable to use it. I have tried multiple times to ask the company to fit a new boiler, as I discussed with the engineer when he came to our house. However, it has been very difficult to get hold of the company again., I have spoken to someone on the phone on one occasion who promised me someone will get back to me, other times I have been unable to get through due to the phones being very busy. It looks like I’m going to have to find a different company to get a boiler fitted.

Called customer services , booked a plumber at 4.10 as toilet was leaking from isolation valve. Rocked up with no tools at 4.25 then asked me to sign something on his pad , I said aren’t I supposed to do this after he said no . Screws the valve , unscrews it’s now 4.40 , says we need to be quoted for a bigger job ( we told custome services exactly the issue ), then said well you do it? No picking my daughter up at 5 and left ,the get notification to say I’d been charged £150 .
In the process of returning money and complaint.
Let me show you what an experienced company did .
Came out later at 7,40 pm , bought tools, had nothing to do with the valve , put a whole new system in , secured the toilet , there no more than 40 mins , no out of hours call out charge , included parts for £20 cheaper and. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT .

This isnt an reactive emotional review, this is exactly my experience as it was . Customer services seem friendly , book an emergency plumber at 4.10 , rocks up at 4.25 no tools whuch i thought was odd, asks me to sign a doc on arrival, I said Im supposed to do this when the job is finished ? he said not. Looks at job screws unscrews then says we need to be requoted as he needs parts . It was a simple job btw , leaking from the isolation valve . I asked if he could do it and he said no he’s got to get his daughter at 5, You won’t be charged Just left us with no working toilet then got charged £150 . Im in the process of getting my money back and filing a complaint . Couldn’t be bothered plumber , tried to get a quick easy job before he finished at 5 , realised it was a bit longer so left. No duty of care, no communication between office , charged me before getting requoted, which I'm sure is illegal . Process of returning money and filing a complaint Rang local plumber , who came out ,charged £20 less for out of hours and it had nothing to do with the valve but it knew that , took him 30 mins. Absolutely do not use

Brilliant service from Rightio the gentleman Charlie wood was brilliant and spoke through everything for my auntie to understand.

Contacted them and received confirmation an engineer would be out between 12pm-5pm Saturday, no one turned up and no contact was made. Called them again Sunday morning, was told they would get back to me. Called me 10 minutes later to say they hadn't been able to contact the engineer but would keep trying. 4pm Sunday no one had called back and water is still dripping from my kitchen roof. Very poor service - wasted 1 and 1/2 days waiting for them.

Very professional and sorted my gas leak out very quickly

Rang them at 1.30pm- said they would get to me within 2 hours.
Soon as i put the phone down i got a text saying i had been rescheduled to between 5 - 8pm and the engineer would call before arriving.
Its almost 10pm now and nobody has turned up or even called.
Tried to phone them - office closed and no answering machine.
Gave up.. and went to bed.

Phoned in the morning for a plumber. I was contacted 45 mins before he arrived as I requested. He was a love guy, very friendly & informative. He was very efficient & sorted the 2 problems I had within 30mins. I would definitely recommend!

My call was answered courteously and everything was explained and my options outlined fully. Raymond the locksmith arrived within two hours as promised and examined the old lock which was beyond repair and fitted the new one very quickly. Again he was pleasant and reassuring. Payment was made by card on completion.

When I called initially - I didn't have to wait long to talk to somebody - which was a great start. Sorry I cannot remember the name of the person I spoke to but she was very friendly and professional. The process for arranging a visit was straightforward and sensible - no pointless questions etc. The engineers fixed the problem and were again friendly and professional. The cost was more than I expected but the labour charge was made clear to me when I arranged the visit and it was a same day service so fair enough. Probably - and I didn't ask - so partly my fault - the cost of the parts could have been made clearer and I guess possibly a range of options could have been offered. (My kitchen sink taps were being replaced - so different range of taps perhaps?) That said the job was done in as much time as it would take to do - no nonsense of taking longer than an hour for the sake of increasing the cost. Overall a very good experience - but not the cheapest!

This company rips you off. They charged us (an elderly couple) more than £400 for 2 call outs and parts, to fix a toilet that in the end still wasn’t fixed. I called a local plumber who fixed the job in half an hour for less than 1/3 of their charge, I would not recommend!

Bad start to a company I have just signed up to for 18 months. Toilet was not fixed properly, appointments not timely and in one case delayed despite problem. Rushed job - not checking for long enough when finished. Why have I signed up? Maybe it will get better.

The plumbers spent less than 10 minutes in my home, said they needed a part and promised to return the following morning. They never returned and Rightio has charged me claiming they have completed the job! And the plumbers turned up without any tools!
Very poor and recommend you avoid.

In a very stressful situation I was immediately put at ease. I had tried a couple of other listed locksmiths who advertised 24 hours call outs only to be told no one was available but this company came to my rescue. I did have a longer wait that was first told but the engineer rang to explain he was stuck in traffic so knew what time to expect him.

Extremely good came out and tried fixing the shower but parts no longer available so went to get a replacement shower and fitted it on the same day we telephoned the company.
