We completely understand how frustrating it can feel when you’re waiting on a response. After taking a closer look, we can see that the owner of the vacation rental did reply to your name change request within less than an hour of receiving your email. Sometimes replies can end up in spam or junk folders, so it may be worth checking there just in case.

It would’ve been nice if someone told…

It would’ve been nice if someone told us you need to bring your own graphs for this property. You’re never gonna get a seat by the pool. I rented two rooms for a week and it was a disaster to try to get seat seats unless you got up at six in the morning very disappointing.

They didn’t have the room we booked

They didn’t have the room we booked. They were oversold and we were given a room with one bed for three adults.

As a heavy user of Redweek for many…

As a heavy user of Redweek for many years be aware that this company has gotten severely greedy in the last two years, their customer service has rapidly deteriorated and they have even failed to stand by contracts that they themselves entirely wrote! This was a great organization up until recent years. I retract my 5 star review from five years ago and wish now I could give them less than a 1 star. Be wary

Redweek’s greed is seriously getting out of control- they eliminated your opportunity to deal with a renter directly so they could collect $99 “success fee” from every owner listing after their $59 charge to list in the first place. That was done less than a year ago. And, now they have changed the success fee going forward to 5% (so about $300 to rent my timeshare weeks.) So, about $350 total fee to the owner and the renter will also pay 10% (up significantly in last two hears) adding (another roughly $600) adding up to almost $1,000 for what I could have done for $50 about 18 months ago. An owner had a good chance to break even on their maintenance fee before and now nearly impossible and this will just raise prices for the renter- who will get a much less advantageous pricing spread from the brand’s own booking engine. Redweek’s greed is going to price themselves out of a functioning business model and likely now bring in opportunistic competitors and fracture this market. What a shame. Redweek your greed is going to hurt you badly longer term as you destroy what was a great and valuable service for years.

Hi Val, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience. We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, and we understand how frustrating this must feel, especially on your first booking.
We do want to help clarify what we’re able to do here. Per the rental agreement terms, once a reservation is confirmed, the cancellation policy applies. For cancellations made at least 65 days before check-in, 50% of the total rental amount is refunded (minus any applicable fees). Unfortunately, cancellations made closer to the check-in date are subject to higher penalties.
Based on this policy, your refund is being processed at the 50% amount, and it typically takes about 7–10 business days to complete.
We also see that you purchased travel insurance with your booking. You may be able to recover additional costs by filing a claim directly with the insurance provider. You can reach them at (866) 999-4018 for guidance on how to submit your claim.
We truly understand this isn’t the outcome you were hoping for, and we appreciate your patience. If there’s anything else we can clarify or assist with, please let us know.

Great deals! Better than buying 100k package

I’ve used ragweed about 3-4 times and I must say it’s been great. You save a bunch on stays and they make purchasing someone else’s time very easy. I’ve done week long stays in Hawaii and Cancun. I’ve done 3-4 night stays and it’s better than spending 100k on those vacation packages. Just purchase vacations as you need and try different properties
