SELLERS and Buyers Beware of the recent changes in Redweek!
SELLERS Beware!!
Redweek with the changes made over the past year has become difficult at best and a questionable enterprise.
Eliminating the ability to control the posting without using the full management feature has not only increased the porting cost for the lister at time of creating the post, the terms for reimbursement of the rental dollars are required immediately by the renter, yet held for months by Redweek to use those funds. They are not relinquished to the owner until 48 hours2 days after check-in to the property, and if that check in falls on a weekend which most do, add another two days PACIFIC time of 8pm before you are sent a method to recover you monies. If you choose to do direct bank deposit and another 3-5 days to that!
I have been a member of Redweek for years. I have spoken to rentals agencies who have utilized it as well. The feedback should make Redweek corporate rethink their changes over the past year!

Absolutely awful customer service
Absolutely awful customer service. We rented a studio king at the surf club in Aruba with a "partial ocean view", which we paid extra money for. When we checked in, our room had a view of the roof and the AC compressor. We asked for a room change and the surf club informed us that our category of room DOES NOT EXIST with an ocean view. Marriott tried to help, but couldn't change the category of room as it is a timeshare. Redweek blames Marriott. In the end, we lost out and no one wants to take ownership for the FALSE ADVERTISING. NEVER AGAIN.
I would be happy to share a picture of the "ocean view" if I was able. I can promise that it is a view of a broken window and an AC compressor

We would like to clarify that all units are assigned at check-in based on availability and the reservation category confirmed at the time of booking. In reviewing your reservation, the unit assigned was verified as being within the “partial ocean view” classification as defined by the resort.
We understand that view expectations can vary from guest to guest, and we regret that the location and outlook of the unit did not align with what you had anticipated. I heard back the same day I requested the reservation which impressed me. I did have to wait a few days to be able to get the final ok.
