Rented, as we have in previous years from Mode, South Island to north, all good and as expected, minor technical isssue with car day before we were due to go home, quickly resolved after visit to depot and replacement car provided for our last day within the hour.

We had asked for a Toyota Corolla wagon when booking a couple of months previous. While such a request is subject to availability we were thrilled we were given as requested and further it was a hybrid so with fuel prices skyrocketing it was a real bonus. One very happy customer. Our rental experience with Mode was great. Quick and easy check in and out. They also bent over backwards to make sure I was able to retrieve an item left behind in the rental car. Would rent with them again without question.

Everything went fine apart from the pickup vehicle taking our luggage back to the airport! A minor hiccup in an uneventful 8-day hire.

I rented a car from Welling to Auckland and also arrived late the first day. Pick up was easy and drop off was equally easy. Only downfall is that you have to purchase the drop off from the Auckland airport because their company was quite far from the airport. Besides that I'd say everything was amazing, they were quick-ish with checking the cars, and they drove with precision when dropping us off at the Auckland airport.

Overall experience was average. I had a vehicle fault light when I took delivery of the car. Brought the car back the next day for a mechanic to fix the issue. Customer service is below average.

The booking process was been easy, the conditions clear. The guys were always very kind when we reach them by phone or personally. The cost was competitive.

Disorganised crew with little hiccup that slowed down the pick up process.

Also received an email from ModeRentals sent to a list of people who booked a car, but the email address were visible to all, which is a huge breech in confidentiality.
Not impressed about how my personal information are handle to be honest, and because of that I am not sure I will use the company in the future

The customer relations at downtown Auckland was great. They had everything ready to go and explained any questions I had. The only complaint I had was when driving at night the cars headlights were very dim and I had to use high beams consistently. Other then that the car ran great and did all we expected of it. Thank you.

Mode car rentals at Christchurch airport provided good quick service at pickup and dropoff, and took me to the airport.
My rental car was affordable and ran well. Thank you.
I didn't give 5 stars because I was concerned that I could not get front or back window washer to work. This became a safety issue after an intermittent rain day at the seaside, with salty deposits on windscreen. Mode later agreed back was blocked.
Back seat headrests were missing too. I have trust that the team will address both of these issues.

Nice tidy vans that met our requirements at a reasonable price however the bond blew me away a bit, we've never encountered this before and as a School & group we have hired vans for years.

Clean vehicle, friendly service, prompt transfers to/from Chch airport

What made my experience great was how friendly, patient, and helpful the staff I dealt with was. Everyone I interacted with made a proactive effort to communicate clearly, assist me with my questions, and supported me to figure out what would work optimally for rentals with various groups during my month in NZ. I was so grateful for how easy everyone made this experience! Outstanding service from outstanding people.
