This company is outstanding, they are such a pleasure to speak to on the phone, very friendly and helpful. This is the type of people who make a business easy to approach. I would highly recommend this company, they explained everything to me, it was quick and easy to go through everything we needed to and there just at the other end of the phone if I need them. DO NOT USE this awful accountancy service .I just joined .Big mistake. They take a while to find you details .They fob you off .They never answer their phones .The only way to get hold of them if to press 1 for the new business service. Do not expect them to do anything urgently. I asked them to do something urgently for me .I was told on Thursday they will do it for me on Thursday.I called on Friday and they said they will sort it out for me on Friday.I called today and I was told it will be ready in 10 days .The person on the other end of the phone was extremely unhelpful.He refused to let me speak to a manager. It sounded like a call centre in a foreign country

A Truly bad experience, complete waste of time i got three vat penalty points for late returns - Any response generally isnt picked up by the same person, multiple responses from which are not picked up it seems by anyone for weeks at a time. Vat return for Q3 returned and closed on 6th, still no response on the 27th of Oct for filing on time. Multiple items being picked up by several people which are all running independently. Any response or query is picked up by someone else weeks later when followed up on mistakes on returns which leads to delays.

Would recommend this company under the condition you have less than 20 invoices per qtr, when it goes into the hundreds your wasting your efforts.

I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid Mazuma Money. What started as signing up for accounting services turned into the worst business decision I've made this year.
They promised a comprehensive service including catch-up accounting from October 2024. After paying, here's what actually happened:
The "onboarding" was non-existent. Nobody could tell me what documents were needed for the catch-up they sold me. Different staff members gave contradictory information. When I asked simple questions about VAT returns (which they were supposed to handle), their colleague said it wasn't even indicated on my account.
After weeks of chasing, I set six basic conditions that needed to be met for me to continue - things like naming a point of contact and clarifying what information they actually needed from me. They acknowledged these conditions on 8th October. They met NONE of them.
When I formally terminated services on 14th October (which they acknowledged on 15th October), they promised to begin the termination process. Then - and this is the truly shocking part - they took payment from my account via direct debit AFTER acknowledging the termination. That's right, they took money after I'd already cancelled.
The MazApp system is incredibly basid. No option to upload previous months' receipts for the catch-up period they sold me (atleast as far as i was provided access). CGT documents uploaded with no labels. No categories for basic things like Directors Loans. It's amateur hour.
Emma Wastell, Molly Avery - these staff members couldn't coordinate between themselves. One would promise something, another wouldn't know about it. They even missed scheduled calls then claimed they tried to contact me.
I'm now having to pursue them through the Financial Ombudsman, my bank's direct debit indemnity scheme, and small claims court just to get my money back. They're hoping you'll just give up and accept the loss.
If you're a small business owner, RUN. Find literally any other accountant. The few pounds you might save will cost you countless hours and massive stress. I've kept every email, every screenshot, every broken promise as evidence.
Currently fighting to get unauthorized payments returned. Will update this review with the outcome, but seriously - learn from my expensive mistake and stay away.

NOTE: The response below demonstrates that they do not listen. Contrary to their marketing - they are robots who lack basic common sense. I needed a discussion around Catch Up requirements not another call to go through their basic app which is basically a glorified cloud storage solution. Shocking.
