Lucy is very helpful and thank god for her. However, when I have asked, via the usual Customer Services email address for something simple, like the CH Authentication Code, it took 4 rounds of asking before Lucy stepped in.

Following my friend's recommendation I had a demo done by Leighton and I was positively surprised with the level of knowledge and how enthusiastic Leighton was about the services Mazuma Accountants provide.

Can actually speak to a person to help navigate the new systems, without a 30 minute holding on calls!

Great service, everything on time, all dates are kept, I don't have to worry about anything.

They assist you when you've your queries and their online service is also very flexible for submission of documents and alike...

Transition went very smoothly and communication was very helpful with very little disruption to the company,
all personnel have been great.

I no longer have a local representative at Mazuma, so all communication is now handled via phone or email — and unfortunately, it’s been very poor.

I’ve been waiting months for my year-end accounts, with little to no progress or updates. Communication is extremely frustrating; I’m regularly promised call-backs that never happen, and I often have to chase repeatedly just to get a response.

Overall, the service has been disappointing and stressful. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Massively appreciate Leighton’s time on Sunday. His knowledge was excellent showing me exactly what to do in the demo.

Repeated errors (month on month) when producing monthly management figures. Natalie is great at resolving issues but she shouldn't have to. Pod 3 are a complete waste of time. High turnover of staff perhaps?? Never deal with same person twice. Payroll have their house in order shame about the rest.

This is probably one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with, the customer services is shocking.
They do not answer the phones, or emails.
They have a neat trick with the phones, tell you they are busy and then cut you off, no option to ask for a ring back or leave a message.
We would advise anyone to give this company a miss.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Mazuma has been extremely poor and is consistent with many other 1-star reviews I have since read.

Over a period of approximately 6 months, I had to repeatedly chase for basic information and corrections. My accounts and tax returns were submitted around 9 months late and initially contained incorrect figures. As a result, I received penalties including a Self Assessment fine (approx. £1,300) and a Companies House fine. Mazuma declined to assist with appeals, which I had to resolve myself.

After prolonged back-and-forth, Mazuma eventually acknowledged issues, corrected the returns, and refunded approximately £1,200.

Communication was a major concern throughout. Emails were often unanswered, calls were not returned, and I had to provide the same information multiple times. Notably, when I began formally challenging the situation, communication shifted from email to phone calls from different numbers, which I chose not to engage with in order to maintain a written record.

Despite paying for bookkeeping services, I was later advised (29/01/2026) that the bookkeeping for the 2024–2025 period had not been completed and was asked to provide this myself.

Following my departure, I am still attempting to obtain a clear breakdown of payments and confirmation of what services have been applied to the 2025–2026 period.

In my case, issues were only resolved after persistent escalation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service.

All of the above is supported by extensive email correspondence.

edit - the response below is contrary to my last review during the incident, when they denied all knowledge until i wore them down with 6 months of daily emails, furthermore, they have charged me for an additional year they didn't provide a service for, and they are pulling the same tricks as before.
