I Bought a used Jaguar epace 11 months…
I Bought a used Jaguar epace 11 months ago from Rockar Jaguar ever since I bought it I’ve had nothing but trouble first of all it was misold to me then the same say electrical fault came up winds-screen wiper flues low I was just told to bring it in and they will fill it. Drove back home next day same issue there was a leak I asked to return the vehicle this was in the first 30 days then I get a call from some sort of manager from Rockar telling me they will charge me miles for returning it and I found him to be quite Patronising I honestly couldn’t deal with the return and paying for the mileage as he made it sound like it would be a long and costly procedure so I decided to keep it and get it repaired as he did mention it is a used car not brand new
After few months new sign low came up on the dashboard Coolant low I’ve topped up 4 times within a year took it to their garage no issues found. Now I’ve taken it for service at 11 months because every single light has come up on the dashboard now they have said I’ve put Diesel in the Adblue which I’ve never opened before and are trying to charge me £1600-£1800 for I did ask could it have been from the previous owners they said possibly I really just want to get rid of this car has been a nightmare from day one
Jaguar cars are awful recommend to stay away just saying from my personal experience
Also depreciating of this vehicle is awful I bought the car for on pcp for around 29k/30k after 11months £22k unbelievable
F PACE ENGINE FAILURE
Got a f pace 2.0 awd 2018, lack of power when pulling away..very dangerous at junctions!!! Took it to JLR Basingstoke who said it had lost its compression and needed a new engine!! What!!! The cars only done 59k miles and has full service history, they have offered 20% goodwill towards costs, as I only have select warranty which covers 3k I have to find another 7k!!! It’s outrageous they even gave me the number for the motor omnibus to complain!!
dropped like a stone
I bought my XE R-Dynamic in may this year and paid 25K for the Car from Marshalls Ipswich after trading in an XE R-Sport.
Marshall told me that I was buying a quality car and the residual values would be very good !!!! We are now in October and my Car has lost some 5K in as many months... Jaguar are a lovely Car, but the depreciation is eyewatering. Never believe a Jaguar salesman, avoid buyer a Jaguar, they are a complete waste of money. Mine is now up for Sale as I cannot afford any further loss... Never will I entertain this marque again... Marshall Ipswich are not the best stealership, I lost my tax refund on the last Jaguar as it took them over one month to notify DVLA of change of ownership, something I was informed they would do immediately and did not.. !!!! Also this stealership overprice their vehicles and have the cheek to tell you that you are getting a good deal.
Absolutely terrible customer service…
Absolutely terrible customer service and after care from both Jaguar and the Lookers dealership in Aston Clinton , has put me off purchasing another car through Jaguar again.
The facia of a door handle fell off my car handle unexpectedly, as I was unable to produce the faulty item, I was refused a replacment under the warranty rules, despite my pleas for common sense to be applied.
The door handle itself was in perfectly normal condition, so any assumptions that the facia was forcefully removed should have been dispelled.
I was even offered an option to pay upfront and receive a good will credit at an unspecified later date, this is not what I expect from the warranty cover after paying a premium price.
Incredible to think that a so called prestigious car maker, treats its customer with such contempt.
I dread to think that if the issue was of more serious nature, what rule they would be applied to deny responsibility.
Totally in contract to a recent experience with Mercedes, the charging cap on my car became stuck and I had to forcefully remove and break it in order to open it, no questions asked, I was provided with a straight replacment.
I would strongly advise to reconsider purchasing a Jaguar.
Disgraceful aftercare - avoid at all costs
I bought a Jaguar e-pace from Jaguar York, assuming they would properly undertake all checks they commit to under their "approved used" tag and that the 1 year warranty would help with any service issues.
Had a flat tyre 2 months later, and had the AA come out, only to discover the car didn't include the locking wheel nut required. We were left with no support from Jaguar in resolving the issue and were left without use of the car for another week despite chasing Jaguar repeatedly for assistance.
We were repeatedly told on the phone at the time we had this issue that the wheel nut would definitely be in the car "as the mechanic would have put it back when they changed the tyre," but also that the only way we could receive a replacement nut was to buy one, which would have left us without use of the car for a longer period and been at our own expense. We were also advised by one of your colleagues at the York branch that we could otherwise "just take it to Kwik fit and they'll be able to knock them off" even though they acknowledged this has a risk of damaging the alloys. True cowboy stuff.
When we eventually had someone someone come from Jaguar, they also pointed out the compressor that came with the car also was non-functional due to the lack of the orange flat nut. It has now been 4 months of back and forth over email and phone, and Jaguar York still have not committed to resolving such simple issues (ie. we STILL have not been provided with the nut or compressor 4 months later). Additionally the mechanic pointed out that the tyres we had been provided with were not only one of the cheapest brands available which is subpart for what we should expect, but also mismatching in brand and tread pattern.
The approved dealer tag is completely meaningless with Jaguar. Truly comic stuff. You would be better off buying from someone like Harry Wormwood before these jokers. The fact they haven't responded to all of the other bad reviews on this page tells you all you need to know.
Also, though my review is focussed on their service (or lack there-off), the car has also developed a number of electric faults in just 6 months of ownership. I have never encountered any such issues with the other manufacturers I have dealt with (Mercedes or Porsche). Though you may pay slighly less for Jag, the reliability and service is probably only a fraction of what you get with the others.
Been waiting 2 months for air con parts…
Been waiting 2 months for air con parts for an Ipace.
Seems to be a known fault but JLR appear incapable of knowing when the pipe might be available.
Now on my 5th call, to their customer experience centre.
Despite promises of call backs and emails ---nothing
This call started with them unable to verify who I was as they seem to compare to old history.
In summary the car is quite well designed but the support is sorely lacking, perhaps a summary of the British motor industry. I have a 20 year old Mercedes, I have no doubt that I would have a part tomorrow if it was not in stock at a dealership.
Next new car will be German or Japanese
Where is my courtesy car?
It's not been six days and I still don't have a courtesy car. Jaguar Assist is very poor. Lots of promises of a return call from the people responsible, but nothing so far.
This is after a bad experience with Houghton-le-Spring who themselves don't have a car for me.
No after sales service whatsoever !
No after sales service whatsoever !
Over the years Iv had about 12 to 15 jags. In the last 4 years Iv bought 3 jags at a total of £260k.
My last car was a Fpace svr . Iv been chasing my second key for over a year. Iv called Jaguar Mayfair at least 10 times , no one ever calls back. It also needs a service , no one ever calls back. If they treat a loyal customer that has spent well over £1m over the years with disdain I can’t imagine how they treat anyone else !
All I can say is don’t bother with Jaguar anymore, Iv also got an I pace, probably the worst car Iv ever had and Iv had some horrendous cars !
£84500 of complete crap . Supposed 280 mile range ???? Only ever got 160 miles full charge. When I asked why on earth it was so bad Jaguar Mayfair said it could be because you bought the bigger tyres ???
If you’re thinking about getting a Jaguar, just don’t bother !
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FROM JAGUAR DEALERS
If I could give no stars, I would.
Customer service is S**t.. Not one service I’ve had on our Jaguar XF has been straightforward. First one, the mechanic left a massive screwdriver in the engine. Lived about 40 mins away and the last mile the screwdriver shifted and was rattling around under the bonnet. We thought something was wrong with the engine, so husband pulled over and lifted the bonnet to find the screwdriver. We were fuming 😡 called the service dept, explained what happed and they were not even bothered. 2nd one, they didn’t complete a full service, yet charged us for it and had to take it back. When the car was ready for collection, they rang and told us it was ready. It took us 40 minutes to get there and they made us wait for another 90 mins as the car wasn’t ready at all, then tried to say it may not be ready to take as they were due to close in 30 mins. Tough!
Booked the car to have a diagnostic check at the Edinburgh branch (an hour away) a week ago and also booked a courtesy car, only to be called at 6pm the night before to be told no courtesy car available. My husband has to wait while they do the check and was there for hours. Also when he pulled up in a parking space at the branch, he was told to move the car as the space was for new customers only.. Bloody cheek! He was also there to check out a new vehicle. When he rang and told me, I said don’t bother asking about a new vehicle… We’ll buy something better. Never really liked the Jag anyway..
Bloody snobbery at its finest from Jaguar. You pay absolute £1000’s on new way overpriced cars and SUV’s.
The Services we’ve had has been crap from day one of purchase. and way overpriced (our next service on our XF is in excess of £1800!), Parts are extortionate prices. You can never get hold of anyone on the phone, when you do they say someone will call you back and never do..
They have these pristine over the top showrooms to entice you in (that’s where the money goes), but they lack one important thing CUSTOMER SERVICE!
JAGUAR! YOU SHOULD BE BLOODY ASHAMED!!!
Jaguar produces dud cars, DON'T BUY
Do your research and read the reviews here and other places.
Jaguar produces dud lemon cars and then either can't fix the issue, pretend there is no issue and you're left with a car that is undriveable.
My car is the dud with so many issues. I have taken it in 10 times to the dealership in 2 years, sometimes with the same issues happening again and again, other times many different issues, each time they keep it for a few days to a few weeks. They cannot fix any of the issues as they continue to happen and then they deny anything is wrong with it.
An example - the proximity sensors do not work. When I showed them how I can drive into cardboard boxes, touching them (not damaging the car, as they were empty), their response was: "oh so you think the car should tell you if you're near something?" I mean seriously? That is the whole point of proximity sensors, to alert you when you are close to an object. The proximity sensors do not work.
Then the sun roof doesn't close properly. They can't find anything that would be causing it, of course, because the car electronics are super faulty.
The car's gears change randomly without me doing anything. It's very dangerous, especially if I have someone behind me, as they can hit my car if my car suddenly slows down without warning. Dangerous. I have been in a situation at a roundabout where I was flooring the car to make it go but it was crawling at a speed of a slow speed. Lucky the other cars did not hit me!!
But Jaguar won't return the money I paid, nor will fix it.
Basically, a dud so bad, I will never buy anything from any of the companies that Tata owns, including Jaguar
Williams Jaguar epic fail
Perhaps not Jaguar directly, but Williams Jaguar Manchester (an approved Jaguar dealer) failed miserably today.
After spending last night considering my finances etc, this morning I returned to complete the purchase of a used car I had been offered yesterday. After going through all the cover and finance options, while we were reviewing the payment balance and finance terms, from the back office their sales manager declared the price to be incorrect and increased it by £6k. Needless to say I wasn't impressed!
It was explained as 'just an admin error' on their part.
There was little acknowledgement of the time and effort wasted in what for me was to be a major purchase.
While we may not have reached any legal commitment to complete the transaction, this feels morally questionable on their part. I really didn't expect such a lack of integrity from a major brand like Williams Jaguar.
Tried to call Tonbridge Jaguar LR…
Tried to call Tonbridge Jaguar LR service Dept. for some advice about an aircon problem whilst away abroad on holiday in 34c heat. Was answered by a very unhelpful call centre in Birmingham!!!! Unable to speak to anyone in Tonbridge - all too busy!!!
Was told it would be marked urgent and someone would call back. Still waiting!!!!! Nothing!!!!! Would never buy another car from this dealership 😡 They really deserve no star.
Land Rover Jaguar Pityful at best

Jaguar Vertu Exeter - Appauling customer experience - Allegedly the Branch is closing
My car broke down and was recovered by the RAC to the Vertu Exeter dealership. I called and was firstly told they had no space for the car. Next I was advised the earliest the car could be seen was 21st July (5 weeks away). A manager called to say, don't worry as a valued customer they would support me. A few days later I was advised the turbo had failed despite the car being purchased directly from Jaguar Exeter and having a full jaguar service only months earlier . Again I was assured I would be supported by Jaguar head office and Vertu dealership.
After much pestering and asking for an update I was advised a replacement turbo was a £3500 job and Jaguar technical had advised the engine still may not run and spending the money was at my own risk. So much for the valued customer and support.....
I asked what was the cost of a new engine, dealership said they would investigate. I also asked if the dealer could offer someway of placing me in a different car to get me back on the road. Again, certainly, no problem.
I attempted to get an update without success. I called Jaguar customer service directly in frustration and was given two sales personnel names to call at the dealership. One polite gentleman answered couldn't believe why there had been a delay and apologised. He said, don't worry as soon as I get off the phone I will get this sorted for you, I'll call back in 30mins. Dream on.....
The following morning I called him back and asked why he hadn't called back? He was surprised as his colleague should have called. Leave it with him, he'll sort it (again).
Roughly and hour later a salesman called, apparently I was interested in buying a car he stated half heartly. Given my car was broken down he thought the dealership would be able to offer £500 to £1000 but couldn't be sure - brilliant thanks for clearing that up. He then said a new engine fitted would cost circa £8k-£12k - ouch.
I enquired about a deal on another car, at which point I was basically told to look on the website - the sales guy's support and involvement was pointless and simply added to my frustration and feeling unvalued as a customer.
At this point my original contact called me back and I explained the current situation. He said sales wasn't his side of things and there was little he could do.
I enquired where do we go from here then? Scrappage? salvage? also enquired about any costs I may have incurred. To his credit he immediately stated not to worry about the inspection fee, he would deal with that and I would not be charged.
From here, feeling effectively abandoned as a long term customer I managed to source and arrange a salvage company to collect my vehicle and return a small percentage of it's value. All after waiting 5 weeks for some kind of support from jaguar which never materialised.
I advised my point of contact the car was organised for collection and I wished to empty my car remaining personal effects and reset personal data on the car itself.
I arrived, was greeted by my point of contact and taken to the car, no effort was made to attempt to rectify the situation, simply apologies and assurance I did not owe any monies. This was quickly followed by the comment I would be receiving a customer survey and could I please score the first one or two questions with a 9 or 10, apparently after those questions I was free to "let rip" with any comments I wished. Fairly soul destroying to feel only valued as a customer when it effects a dealers feedback survey.
I'm writing this feeling extremely let down by both Jaguar Inc and Vertu Exeter dealership, after 5 years of ownership I would have thought I deserved better treatment.
Avoid.
UPDATE:
I received a first reply via email which stated "We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service you recieved and we are keen to understand more and discuss this....."
Oddly, this was deleted and changed the following morning to:
"Response from the owner a day ago
Good evening, after multiple conversation with JLR unfortunately your vehicle fell outside their criteria for support post warranty expiry. If you would like to discuss further, our Head of business Dean Bessant would be happy to discuss. Kind regards, Trish."
This simply validates my point - Jaguars attitude - your out of warranty, not our problem! That wasn't the issue, being left for 5 weeks without any urgency and basically sorting the end resolution by myself - pathetic.
Perhaps Vertu admitting it is ditching Jaguar is the real lack of drive.
Search in google "vertu to leave jaguar" and you will immediately find the news articles.
Third Jaguar I have owned 2021 f-pace
Third Jaguar I have owned 2021 f-pace. Second car with issues with the paint. Apparently, bird droppings can remove paint(despite not ever experiencing this before on any other vehicle). Under warranty but Jag refused to cover. Car before this one had clear coat cracking and chipping away on both wings. Customer care is non existing and Jag does not deserve its loyal fan base.
My experience with Jag customer care is there will always be a reason not to help.I will be going with another on my next purchase.
Jaguar JLR short Cummings
Jaguar JLR short Cummings
Car taken in for accident damage nearly four weeks ago.
Been told parts on back order with No delivery date available spoke to customer services who are really no help asked if parts could be taken from assembly line as they seem to have parts to build new cars.
But just getting nowhere so affectively jaguar have left me without a vehicle and I’m still paying for the privilege each month and there seem to be no curtesy cars available either, why would I buy another new jaguar after this fiasco terrible customer services
Date of experience: 07 July 2023
Coches muy poco fiables
Ordered a New epace April 22 and 13 months later and still no build slot
We were told by Jaguar Landover in April 22 that the wait time for a new Epace was 6-9 months, 13 months later not even been given a build slot, we have been told some story about ours now being a priority by customer services absolute bunch of jokers.
