Die schlechteste Fahrzeugerfahrung meines Lebens.

Mein Jaguar I-PACE war innerhalb kurzer Zeit viermal wegen Problemen an der Hochvoltbatterie in der Werkstatt. Bereits mehrere Batteriezellen wurden ersetzt, dennoch trat derselbe Fehler immer wieder auf. Inzwischen sind sogar bereits ersetzte Batteriezellen erneut defekt.

Zusätzlich besteht ein Isolationsproblem innerhalb der Hochvoltbatterie. Das Fahrzeug musste bereits zum zweiten Mal innerhalb eines Jahres abgeschleppt werden und lässt sich aktuell nicht mehr laden. Damit ist die Kernfunktion eines Elektrofahrzeugs schlicht nicht mehr gegeben.

Parallel dazu bestehen Rückrufaktionen wegen möglicher Rauch- bzw. Brandentwicklung der Batterie. Trotz monatelanger Werkstattaufenthalte, wiederholter Reparaturen und erheblicher Unannehmlichkeiten wurde bis heute keine nachhaltige Lösung erreicht.

Besonders frustrierend ist, dass man als Kunde zwischen Hersteller, Importeur, Leasinggesellschaft und Garage hin- und hergeschoben wird, während das Fahrzeug immer weiter ausfällt. Verantwortung übernimmt am Ende niemand.

Aktuell wird sogar ein vollständiger Batterietausch geprüft, obwohl der Fahrzeugwert nur noch rund CHF 14'000 beträgt. Bereits zuvor wurden Reparaturen im Umfang von mehreren zehntausend Franken durchgeführt.

Ich habe noch nie ein Fahrzeug erlebt, das derart viele schwerwiegende Probleme verursacht hat. Das Vertrauen in die Marke und das Fahrzeug ist vollständig verloren gegangen.

Für mich persönlich eine absolute Enttäuschung.

Shocking customer service – corporate completely avoids accountability and shuts down communication

I used Jaguar’s official online booking system to book a 72-month service for my I-Pace, which generated a fixed quote. However, upon collection, the dealership refused to honour it and charged me over £211 more, blaming a system error.

When I contacted Jaguar UK customer care for help, their response was staggeringly unprofessional. Not only did they wash their hands of the situation by claiming they have "no influence" over their own official website booking portal, but they then arbitrarily decided to close my case file. To make matters worse, they flat-out stated they would no longer accept any further correspondence from me on the matter.

For a premium brand to let customers book prices in good faith, offer zero support when their systems fail, and then literally slam the door on communication when a customer complains is an absolute disgrace. Appalling and deeply unprofessional customer care.

Now trying to cancel my extended warranty and guess what? They answer every other phone line except the warranty cancellation line! When you chat them up , you're informed someone would be in touch whenever.
In my years of buying different cars, I've never dealt with a more rubbish company

Sat Nav/Remote App/Customer Service Terrible

Having purchased a used F Pace a week and half ago, to set up Spotify, Live Sat Nav, Remote App etc you have to sign up to 3 different websites, who then push you to subscribe on each. You follow the instructions and they don't work, you contact In-Control customer services and they take 4-5 days to come back to you, only to ask questions you already sent them the answers to. They don't even have contact details for different areas such as Jaguar-Here, and they don't talk to each other, saying they are 3rd party people, or different parts of the company. yet they put these systems into your car. Their apps don't work, even trying to cancel your subscription is a nightmare, and don't get your hopes up on them coming back to you for many days. They want you to go to a main dealer and pay £xxxx for them to resolve a problem with their internal systems and the left hand not talking to the right. It wouldn't be so bad if it was free, but when you're paying for these services, and the brand, you expect a lot, lot better. Shame on you Jaguar

Jaguar is not Jaguar

Really shame that one of of greatest luxury car brands got destroyed by woke.

Their rebranding is worst, can't understand these disgusting cheap lettsrs and that ugly design of car, that makes Fiat Multipla no longer as ugly car.

This rebranding has destroyed Jaguar, i don't think i'll ever buy it as he lost british design.

Never received any communication and after 12 weeks I received another phone call to say my car was ready. Quite bizarre. However, I still have 2 and a half years warranty left on the battery so I decided just to collect it. Arrived at the dealership only to find a long freshly made scratch along the side of the vehicle. I have submitted formal complaints.

​Systemic vehicle faults, corporate financial delays, and zero brand retention.

​If you are thinking of purchasing a Jaguar I-PACE, my advice is simple: don’t. I am writing this review specifically to warn and protect other potential buyers who are looking at these vehicles; please save yourself the immense financial and operational headache.

​As a first-time Jaguar owner, my vehicle has experienced five separate traction battery faults. To be completely fair, this review does not dismiss the efforts of the staff at the local garage. The ladies on the service desk at Lloyd Jaguar (Cobalt Park, Newcastle) have been fantastic—they supported the mechanical fixes, handled the frequent drop-offs, and provided excellent customer service on the front line. The issue is not with them; it is with the product they are tasked with defending, and the corporate entity behind it.

​I have been actively wanting to return the vehicle, but the overall customer experience getting to this point has been entirely miserable. The process dealing with Lloyds Banking Group (operating under Land Rover Financial Services) has been deeply frustrating. When raising a formal complaint about an inherently faulty £70k+ vehicle, they appear to intentionally use every single day of the maximum regulatory response window. The tactical benefit to them is clear: it allows them to continue drawing monthly finance instalments from a business bank account for as long as possible while the customer is left stranded with a broken asset.
​As a result of how they calculate "usage charges" upon rescission, every single monthly payment of £423 I have made since early 2025 has been mostly lost; I will not receive back the 15 months of payments I have made since owning the vehicle, which I find deeply disappointing given that the vehicle was fundamentally unfit for purpose for large portions of that time.

​It has since become clear that my experience is not an isolated incident. The Jaguar I-PACE is well-documented to have systemic traction battery issues, and the vehicle has been subject to multiple major safety recalls regarding battery thermal overload. The "Traction Battery Fault Detected" message is a widespread issue shared by hundreds of owners online who have faced similar experiences and immense downtime while waiting for scarce replacement modules.

​I have further sent Jaguar emails and even reached out via Jaguar's official Facebook Messenger. I felt the messages did not attempt to assist an escalating customer situation; they simply gave a generic response advising me to contact the finance company. My personal experience is that they are fundamentally not interested in keeping a customer.

​I feel Jaguar has made absolutely no effort to offer an alternative vehicle or a path to stay with the brand. I was a new customer who was entirely open to a different model, but their total indifference to losing a first-time customer has been deeply disappointing. I am leaving a premium brand without even being asked how they could retain my business, which is astonishing.

​As a quality consultant, I look at product quality management and business processes—and both are fundamentally broken here. The front-line dealership staff are let down by an unreliable product and a cynical, detached corporate structure. Avoid this car.

Group 1 Watford failed for you. [again]

Jaguar. You need to back up your cars with an appropriate level of customer service to justify the price tag.

My car went in to have the last user removed from the the cars' InControl for glaringly obvious security reasons. This procedure literally takes seconds and doesn't even need the car to be present.
Group 1 Watford did anything but the above.
First mistake was the technician not unplugging my dashcam. I have footage of him failing to get anything done before giving up after 25mins to take the car to be washed. something I expicitly asked them not to do.

Apparently they were attempting to connect with the car and perform a 'security update'.
They want the car back as they think it may need very expensive lengthy repair.

no diagnosis. no removal of previous owner form control of my car. no assessment of Aircon.

Total fail and more errosion of Jaguars' moribund service reputation.

Eine absolute Katastrophe an Marke

Eine absolute Katastrophe an Marke - Konzern - Preis-Leistung - Kundenservice und Kostenverteilung. Man kauft einen Jaguar F-Pace 30 AWD Sonderedition mit Werkspreis von über 77.000,- Euro gebraucht, um nach 8 Jahren vom Band von A bis Z mit dem AdBlue System nur noch Probleme zu haben, einen absoluten nicht gegebenen Verschleißbereichs, der hunderte und tausende Euro verschluckt und niemand einem sagen kann, was überhaupt los ist und zielgerichtet getan werden muss. Man bekommt drei Tage Sherlock Holmes Diagnose Angebote, man müsse von A bis Z alles durchleuchten, dazu kommt dann Ersatzteile wie, Sensorik kann man nicht einzeln tauschen, nur Sensorik mit gesamten Tank usw. Na Danke Hersteller und EU, well done! Eine Schrittkarre und Schrottmarke vor dem Herrn und egal welche Marke von Konzern, nie nie wieder und absolut in keinster Weise zu empfehlen, egal in welchen Bereich, eine absolute Katastrophe.

Je suis propriétaire d'une I-PACE

Je suis propriétaire d'une I-PACE. Celle-ci vient de tomber en panne. Cette panne connue de la marque a fait l'objet d'une fiche technique et donc d'une prise en charge par la garantie. Cette fiche comportant une date limite, la marque refuse non seulement de en charge les réparations alors que le vehicule a toujours été entretenu en temps et en heure dans le réseau Jaguar. Mais de plus ils refusent même de fournir un véhicule de remplacement alors que les pièces ne seront pas disponibles avant un mois. SCANDALEUX. J’ai possèdé un MG electrique pendant cinq ans... Même pour faire l'entretien ils vous prêtent un véhicule... Je regrette sincèrement!

Appalling service

Had to replace the enitre roof and windscreen on a 4 year old ipace at a cost of more than £5k.
After chasing up for the last few months they still have not even responded regarding this.
A quick search shows this is a known issue with the roof bonding on these vehicles and should be sorted foc.
Doesnt seem acceptable that I have to replace the roof on a £70k vehicle after 4 years!

Avoid Group 1 Chester

On Thursday the 22nd of January I collected a 2018 F Type Jaguar from Group 1 Land Rover in Chester, after paying £24,500 in cash.
Whilst on the face of it, the car had no issues, it was only on Sunday the 25th of January, that I found that parts of it were held together with electrical insulation tape.

I immediately took this up with my sales rep Steve Hunt and it was booked in for inspection 29/01/2025 and it was agreed that the vehicle needed a new front scuttle and tail gate seal, all of which were to be carried out at the expense of Group 1.

I expressed at the time, that these issues should have been picked up on preparation for sale and during the service & MOT carried out on the vehicle prior to me collecting it.

The vehicle was booked in for 09:00 Thursday the 5th of March, for the remedial works to be carried out and I was informed that it would take the whole day for the rectification works to be completed.

At 15:00 that day, I received a text stating that the vehicle had just gone into the workshop. As I live 45mins away, I set off to sit and wait for the completion of the works. When I arrived, I was informed that whilst the vehicle had been stripped, but the replacement scuttle that arrived was for a left hand drive vehicle. I was told that the works would be completed Friday the 6th of March, but it now transpires that the parts have not arrived and I have not been given a completion date.

Although I have raised the with Group 1 Head Office directly, I have yet to receive a response.

Ingenium engine failure (again)

What went wrong? It's called Jaguar's flawed Ingenium 2.0d engine. Only 57,000 miles and it died. Jaguar told me that they are not interested and I should just pay £16,000 for them to sort it? If you can talk one person out of buying a JLR then it's worth it.

​"Escribo esta reseña para advertir a futuros compradores sobre la realidad de poseer un Jaguar. Tras adquirir mi vehículo en 2014, mi experiencia ha sido una sucesión ininterrumpida de fallos mecánicos, técnicos y electrónicos que demuestran que no estamos ante un desgaste ordinario, sino ante vicios ocultos y una preocupante falta de calidad de fabricación.
​A lo largo de estos años, el vehículo ha presentado un historial impropio de una marca de prestigio:
​Fallos electrónicos críticos: Sustitución de retrovisores, fallos constantes en el sistema Star-Stop, múltiples cambios de baterías auxiliares y cerraduras defectuosas.
​Mecánica deficiente: Averías graves en el turbocompresor, EGR, bomba de agua y, recientemente, un fallo total del sistema de combustible (bomba y aforador) que llegó a comprometer mi seguridad al detenerse el coche en medio de una glorieta.
​Desgaste prematuro: Un ciclo interminable de cambio de pastillas, discos y sensores que sugiere un error de diseño en el sistema de frenado.
​Es inaceptable que un cliente que cumple rigurosamente con todos los mantenimientos en talleres oficiales se vea obligado a asumir un perjuicio económico desproporcionado por fallos que comprometen la utilidad del vehículo. Jaguar vende una imagen de 'Arte y Rendimiento', pero mi experiencia demuestra que, una vez vendido el coche, el cliente queda cautivo de un producto con defectos de origen que resultan muy rentables para la marca, pero ruinosos para el propietario.
​Si busca un coche fiable y un servicio que esté a la altura del precio que paga, mi consejo basado en 12 años de facturas es: busque otra marca."

The senior management at this…

The senior management at this dealership is toxic. The front line staff (even the receptionist) are wonderful but imo they are hampered by the dysfunctional decision making of their line managers leaving customers disappointed and dissatisfied. FYI labour is just shy of £300 per.

Bought a 2019 Jaguar ipace from New worst car I have ever owned so far Geue has spent approximately £45,000 repairing the battery system first time it went wrong it lasted two years second time it went wrong it lasted two months third time. It went wrong it lasted two weeks fourth time it went wrong. It lasted two days absolutely diabolical. Jaguar are having so many problems with the 2019 model they are doing buybacks I requested a buyback on my car due to the massive inconvenience. It is causing me being without a call so often they offered me £14,000 which is less than I was offered the trading price. Absolutely ridiculous. The car is selling on eBay for £20,000 which I will never see because this is such a disaster of a vehicle but their derisory offer they offered me well. I can’t think of a polite way to put where they can keep that this car is probably going to cost them at least another £30-£40,000 before the warranty runs out. I will be better off just running it and letting them pay to keep repairing it and selling it for scrap once the warranty runs out we have owned Jaguar since E types. This is the last one absolutely diabolical car can’t wait to be rid of it but never on there derisory offer of £14,000 on a car that cost me nearly 60,000
