Terrible service and over priced rubbish cars. I have an Ipace with 46000 miles. Link cable has gone. Jaguar charging £3200 to fix it, as required 9 hours labour for a £150 part. Will never buy an... Vis mer

Car Image shattered due to inept Customer care
I have owned many cars from the original Mini Cooper, Porsche 911, Mercedes AMG, Range Rover Sport, BMW 5 series and latterly a Jaguar I Pace First Edition. I would say the Jaguar was a pleasure to drive and very well finished. I enjoyed it for four years.
Then it had a traction fault - I put it into Parks Jaguar Ayr.
They took 5 days to look at it - result - the service department phoned to say they could not fix because the part was on back order at Jaguar and they did not have a delivery date - how long before it comes in I asked - back came the reply -oh could be a week or a couple of months - Being a generous soul I thought - not Parks fault.
Two weeks later - Parks service department phone with the good news - the part's in - now the bad news- we fitted the part and it made no difference - what now I asked - oh we will have to ask Jaguar
what to do - how long will that take I asked - two weeks came the reply - now doubting my generosity.
Two weeks later no response from Parks.
I phone Parks service depart - How's my car progressing I ask - oh we don't know - generosity out the window - but still polite -could I speak to someone that does know, I ask - I will put you through to the service manager comes the reply - progress I think - always the optimist - not bad as I am 75 years old.
Service manager - can I help - could you tell me what's happening to my car - Nope but will send an email to Jaguar - progress I thought.
Next day Service Manager phones me - result - I thought - please phone Jaguar / Land Rover Assist Prestige there is a recall on your car, they will arrange for your car to be picked up and taken to their service centre - great now I am getting somewhere
Phone Jaguar Assist Prestige -20 minutes later phone answered - can I help you- I have been advised that you are managing a recall campaign for Jaguar - yes can I have the 4 digit recall program number - Oh I think Parks have not given me that number - surely you can see that from my car registration- no I need the reference number - this is an abridged of the conversation as I pay for the assist program.
Phone Parks service manager not in will phone me back - heart blood pressure rising.
Credit were credits due Parks service manager phones me back - I need the 4 digit recall number - please - no you don't the vehicle registration is all you - now steam is coming out my ears but I get number.
Phone Jaguar assist - straight through different operator - can I have your the car registration - I have the four digit recall no - I don't need that only the reg - four digit number has changed to a four letter word - be calm not the operators fault I tell myself - give the registration number - can you confirm your address- but the cars not at that address its at Parks Garage Ayr- sorry we can only help if its at your home you will have to contact your garage but they said i needed to contact you and you would arrange to have it collected and taken to your service centre - we don't have service centres were the AA we run the Jaguar Assist- having a lie down now.
Phone the Service manager - still civil - ok I will send Jaguar email.
Next day he phones to say someone from Jaguar phones - we will exchange you car or we will organise to have it fixed - exchange please as Parks not the best at fixing things.
He gives me his mobile number but tells me car will be with Parks in two week - result.
Two weeks later - surprise -no car- phoned mobile on several occasion left several messages no response - disillusioned again.
Phone the service manager at Parks - get through -car isn't here, I will send an email - he likes emails.
Week passes - phone parts manager again - not available - from reception - I will send him an email.
Phone service manager again get sales person as reception not answering - advised he is not in but - wait for it - I will send him an email.
Service managers phones back - annoyed voice - no car I will send Jaguar - wait for it - email !!!!
Desperate me then phones Jaguar Customer department - I ask about about delivery of car - reply that not handled by this department phone the garage - My phone disappears out window.
No happy ending yet.
This is a very abridged version but the point I would make is that true customer care is a thing of the past but should not be just treat customer as you would like to be treated and to customers I would say the same thing. Think about the pressures on people sitting at a desk having to deal with the clients of companies that only car about selling. Jaguar get 0ne and a half stars - says it all
Our I pace has some kind of electrical…
Our I pace has some kind of electrical fault and we have been without a car for 6 weeks now. 3 week wait to get it in and looked at and now been with then for 3 weeks. No courtesy car available. We will be selling once we get it back and never using jaguar again
Jaguar I-Pace - great concept, poorly executed
I leased a Jaguar I-Pace in 2020 and it's been unreliable from day one. I've had 2 new cabin heaters, replacement boot struts, front wheel bearing, various bits of trim falling off and today a dead car. The RAC came and told me it's the 12v battery that is knackered. Took it to the dealer and they've told me that the earliest they can look at it is 2nd July (today is 8th May). The car is out of warranty so Jaguar simply don't care. Apparently it's not as simple as pulling out the old battery and replacing with new. Fortunately it's a lease car so I can get a replacement while I wait, but this is not what I naively expected from a premium brand. Jaguar don't respond to their trustpilot complaints, so they clearly don't care, but I hope this review helps potential buyers make an informed choice. I've ordered a Kia EV6, so hopefully that'll be a better experience and significantly cheaper.
I'm really disappointed
I'm really disappointed with my experience owning the Jaguar i-Pace. It spent half of the year in the garage due to mechanical issues, and the dealership's service department was less than helpful. They were reluctant to even diagnose the problems, let alone fix them. This lack of support forced me to make the tough decision to return the vehicle. Calling it a frustrating experience would be an understatement. It was disheartening to see such a promising reputable brand fail to deliver on reliability and customer service. I definitely expected more from a prestigious brand like Jaguar.
Run run run far away from this, the issues I had was starting with traction control, then battery issues, battery cell, then they tried to return the vehicle to me stating that it can only charge up to 70%. Just an embarrassment.
Rather go get a Peugeot 1999 than JLR.
Wasted about £56k on this car, and they are expecting me to still pay off the car even after spending half year in garage.
Ipace HSE 2022 driven for 1 month
Bought an Ipace HSE 2022 and drove it for 1 months. I got a message traction control error drive carefully, informed dealership they said it's battery issue and will order new one but we can't give ETA, so it can take a month or 6 no one can tell. Been 4 months so far without any information In the meantime, I had one key so ordered from dealership second spare key, and it seems it was my biggest mistake. When they took the car to program the new key, the car never started again and it's sitting in the dealership for more than 2 months till now, no straight answer of what happened, they just say we are waiting for a part from Jaguar that we don't know at all when it might come. I tried to reach Jaguar headquarters with no hope, made complains wherever is possible with zero hope. I just lost hope totally from having my car back any soon. A have owned a lot of different brand cars in my life, I can say that Jaguar was my worst experience ever. I was shocked from their customer service and honestly didn't expect that from such a reputable brand but it seems not anymore. This brand can't be matched with high-end brands anymore. I wouldn't wish this experience to anyone and definitely I am not buying ever again in my life from JLR. And definitely selling the car as soon as I receive it back.
My car is just out of bootwarranty and the…
My car is just out of warranty and the auto boot gas strut is about to fail I was told the part was on a back order been waiting nearly 4 months for it and now been told by jaguar client care there is no eta of arrival and they don’t know when they will get one so in a nut shell got a 30000 pound car i can’t use the boot or get to the spare wheel and fill the ad blue what a car manufacturer not would not recommend to my worst enemy just want rid of now
WARNING I-Pace may set on fire
UPDATE! UPDATE!
29/11/2024
JLR have finally agreed to resolve the battery issue. They really put us through the ringer, not smiting liability until the very last minute. They have now performed the diagnostic and agreed we are not liable for paying for this service due to the battery being damaged and needing replacement.
We look forward to having our full functioning I-Pace back in January. After all, the care is great, we are just disappointed in how the issue was originally handled.
WARNING, SAFETY MESSAGE TO ALL JAGUAR i-Pace customers.
This is not a review about this dealership, this is a review of the after service offered to customers with a Jaguar I-Pace four years old.
We bought an I-Pace 5 months ago and an issue has developed where the car will not charge past 75% and there is now a warning light stating traction battery issue drive with caution. We have had the car independently put through a Jaguar diagnostic and there is a known fault with a battery software update. This is a serious issue that has resulted in a recall in America and in the UK. This means our 2020 I-Pace is at risk of a smoking battery that may set on fire. Despite this Jaguar refuse to offer the software update unless we pay £432 for another diagnostic, and will not confirm they will do the safety update. To top it all the earliest they will look at the car is June, as they deem this not an urgent issue, as we are able to drive the car.
This is very concerning and if you are currently looking to buy an I-Pace 2020 or before, either through Jaguar or any other dealer, please please make sure they confirm it has had the H441software update and make sure it has been done to safeguard you and your family.
Thank you.
I pace electric and issues with pod point charger installation
I bought Jaguar I pace electric car from Grange Hatfield on 11th April with a promise that a free charger gets installed by pod point between 1 and 2 weeks.
My first contact with pod point for charger installation with document sent by Jaguar on 19th April. Till date I have been asked to send videos of my home, photos etc.
I had to prove my ownership of my house and car park by sending registration docs. Still waiting a quote from ground work which I need to pay and then pod point will give an appointment after the ground work is complete for charger installation. Now, I do not have a quote and hasn’t accepted the quote they won’t give a date for ground work.
It is the worst customer experience from Jaguar, grange dealership and pod point. I wouldn’t recommend any one to go for Jaguar due to this experience and delays.
JAGUR... Premium Marque.... REALLY DON'T THINK SO!
For Jaguar read my reviews under HATFIELD's Liverpool. Terrible company Jaguar CEO MARDELL is a complete waste of time has ignored multiple direct emails. His disinterest and incompetence has filtered down to their customer couldn't care less department and also the terrible, shocking, appalling dealers. I will be taking the matter up with TATA. Their lack of response to poor reviews on here is proof enough of how disconnected from it's customers Jaguar is. One star because couldn't leave minus 10
took out a service plan the first time…
took out a service plan the first time I took it in back in Dec it wasn't completed because they didn't have the hoses I had to chase them until March for the hoses. I took it in at cost to myself and it wasn't completed again I didn't even get a call to tell me it would not be done. It went in again at another loss to myself and when I went to collect I was told they could not change the hoses because the breake pipes needed doing. I have had this checked at an independent garage where I have been told they are in perfect order infact they are still like new.
Do not buy a Jaguar unless you want big…
Do not buy a Jaguar unless you want big repair bills. Took my I-PACE into Jaguar for 2nd service at 40,000 miles and was given a bill for just under £2000 due to wheel bearing and window regulator replacement. Complained to Jaguar as as lot oh momentous spend on a car that has only done 40,000 miles did not want to know. Very poor product.
Do not buy a Jaguar
Do not buy a Jaguar. My ipace has been in the dealership since start of January. Warranty and no warranty issues, Initially no parts, then parts finally arrived after over 2 months. Then there is a recall and apparently it can burst into flames although I never received a recall notice. A week ago they said they would talk to Jaguar about buying in back and call us back. No call. I have called the dealer, the dealer head office and Jaguar probably 50 times over 3 months. Always appalling service and Communication.
DO NOT buy a Jaguar
Purchased a Jaguar E Pace P300e new in 2021 - in October 2023 whilst still under warranty the vehicle simply stopped working with engine management faults. After six months at my local dealer Beadles Jaguar - they are still unable to establish the problem or fix it, the whole situation is disgraceful they waited 6mths for parts from Jaguar, fitted them and now it's still not repaired, here's no end in sight and neither the dealer or Jaguar give a toss about it. DO NOT buy a Jaguar thy are not what they used to be - this is the third one I've owned and in the last 3 years service and quality have completely gone form this brand. I will never buy another one and will warn anyone thinking of it to steer well clear. The car is still languishing at Beadles in Southend and no one at JLR or my local the dealer has any interest in trying to solve the issues. I have bought a Mercedes instead.
Jaguar xf had recurring wiring issue…
Jaguar xf had recurring wiring issue causing mot failures.
William at JLR inchcape Kings Lynn has been a breath of fresh air in dealing with it.
Arranged to have my car collected, repaired, mot, valetted and returned within a few days.
The original repair carried out at Norwich JLR Inchcape had not lasted and consequently I felt very dissatisfied about this shoddy workmanship.
With Williams assistance a financial resolution was agreed with part repair payment being invoiced to Norwich.
Thank you and if anyone has tò get jag work..go to King's Lynn.
Can not use the special EV Tariffs with I-PACE.
In an effort to fix data sharing/security issues, JLR updated the software in the IPACE so it can no longer communicate with the power companies and chargers for smart low cost tariffs. They made the change and made no effort to notify their customers. That was left to OVO, Octopus, etc... JLR also made no effort to find alternative solutions to ensure their customers could continue to use the existing EV electricity tariffs before making the change. The solution is for JLR to revert to the previous version of software until they work out alternatives, pay for their customers to get a new charger that works (their preferred PodPoint does not work now), pay for the increased costs of charging at home or buying back the EV's they sold. Maybe JLR should face a class action law suit. Jaguar's offered solution is to move to Octopus Go tariff, but that only allows for 4 hours of charging at 9p/kwh. That isn't enough time on a household 7 kwh charger to be useful. Totally disgracefull treatment of their customers.
Aftale aflyst to gange. Kan ikke oplyse ny tid. Har aldrig haft en bil med så mange værkstedsbesøg.
Forrude utæt, et generel problem.
beware of jaguar....
i bought an approved used 2020 plate jaguar xe from a franchised dealer in April last year
a month ago noticed marks appearing on two of the alloy wheels. closer inspection revealed the lacquer was peeling off the wheels. Contacted local dealer to get this repaired under warranty. this was refused by them. so despite having spent £25k plus on a car i am expected to then pay out to have the wheels restored.
so much for jaguar warranties. This is a well known issue on the vehicles as proven by a quick search on various forums.
having owned BMW, mercedes in the past this was my first jaguar... based on this it will also be my last. so much for prestige marque. poor quality and even poorer customer service. irony is they wrote to me asking if wanted to extend my warranty. what for? it's not worth the paper it's written on apparently
DON'T BUY JAGUAR APPROVED USED
When is a used approved Jaguar not a used approved Jaguar ?
Answer. When the car sold under the scheme has been in an accident causing damage to Front bumper, Front Wing. Nearside Front and rear door then Repaired/Bodged up for sale by a non approved Jaguar Body shop and when repairs that start to fall apart after 2 years.
Jaguar who are responsible for all of the Jaguar approved sales literature, which includes every used dealership is independently inspected, state through their Customer service.
"Nothing to do with us take it up with the Dealer" Stratstone Jaguar Nottingham.
The vehicle was also delivered to me with the door card hanging off the wing mirror broken, sweets stuck to the seats. previous owners info on the infotainment system including home address, he's CD still in the CD player. ahh!! nearly forgot it needed new engine, turbos and exhaust after less than 4000 miles. DON'T by Jaguar Used Approved.
