My Company has been using the West…
My Company has been using the West London branch for many years because of one individual, Mr Wayne Hamilton. This man is always professional and gives 💯 at all times. Goes above and beyond at every opportunity. Nothing is ever too much for him. I wouldn't deal with anyone else. A true credit to the company.
I have owned 2 Jaguars
I have owned 2 Jaguars, an XFS 2009 and now an XKR 2011.
Yes you need deep pockets as things WILL go wrong, I have purchased a warranty but still not everything is covered.
Despite all that I love the XKR and I loved my XFS as the driving experience is 2nd to none and there is nothing to compare with it for the money (even taking into account issues)
Just a point - I have seen reviews mocking Jaguars sales at just over 40 units... what these fools don't take into account is Jaguar are NOT selling ANY cars currently
Extremely Disappointed
Extremely Disappointed: Unprofessional Service & Refusal of Documentation
Vehicle: Jaguar I-Pace (purchased 26th July 2025, within 1-month warranty)
Issue: Charging problem
I visited Jaguar Southend for a warranty-covered diagnostic. Despite providing written confirmation from my warranty provider that they’d cover the £288 fee, staff demanded I pay. I explicitly stated: no payment, no authorisation.
The manager then:
➔ Became confrontational and dismissive,
➔ Refused to release my vehicle unless I paid,
➔ Later waived the fee but banned me from future services,
➔ Blocked the advisor from giving me the diagnostic report/fault details when I politely requested them.
This was profoundly unprofessional. Clear communication, fairness, and respect were entirely absent. I strongly caution others against using this dealership.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service, waiting for a battery cell replacement for 7 months. No service, no compensation and no apologies.
I have raised a formal complaint…
I have raised a formal complaint regarding my Jaguar F-Type P300, registration which is now suffering from serious and repeated mechanical failures. The vehicle has covered just 17,116 miles and is clearly no longer fit for use on the road due to critical faults.
⸻
🔧 Background
Earlier this year, the car underwent a warranty repair following the failure of the harmonic damper, less than 3 months after I bought the car, which caused collateral damage to the alternator and other engine components. Despite this repair, the alternator is now failing again, resulting in a second roadside breakdown and attendance by the AA, who cleared fault codes.
More concerningly, during this breakdown, we discovered that the engine had no oil remaining, despite it being subject to post repair pdi. In that short time, the car burned through 5 litres of engine oil at a cost to me of £130, which I had to replace immediately to prevent engine seizure. Following this, the engine warning light came on, and the burned another 5 ltrs of oil.
⸻
⚠️ Fault Summary
• Alternator failure, despite prior warranty work
• Critical oil loss: 5 litres consumed in under in 2months then 5 litres in less then 200 miles.
• Engine warning light illuminated
• Visible oil burning, suggesting internal engine damage
• Total mileage: 17,116
• Vehicle now undriveable

🚨 Request for Immediate Action
This is the second time this car has been off the road due to serious mechanical failure, and the combination of repeated electrical issues and now probable engine damage is unacceptable for a car of this age, mileage, and premium standard.
I am requesting that:
1. Jaguar Land Rover arrange and fund an immediate full diagnostic inspection
2. If engine damage is confirmed, I expect either a replacement engine or a buyback/compensation offer
3. I am also seeking assurance that all prior repairs were completed to a satisfactory standard and did not contribute to the current failure
If this matter is not resolved promptly and fairly, I will have no choice but to escalate my complaint via the Motor Ombudsman, pursue my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and I will not hesitate to publicise my experience given the appalling behaviour of Group 1 Jaguar Derby..

You can reinvent the shape of your cars but you clearly can’t shape your customer care.
Absolutely Awful Experience with Jaguar…
Absolutely Awful Experience with Jaguar Newport – Please Think Twice Before Buying
We’ve had a truly devastating experience with Jaguar Newport and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) that has left us financially and emotionally drained.
We own a 2016 Jaguar F-Pace with just 74,000 miles on the clock. The car has been regularly serviced according to Jaguar’s own maintenance schedule, with full documentation to prove it.
When a “critical low engine oil” warning came up, we took the responsible step of booking a diagnostic test at Jaguar Newport. We were told the timing chain was rattling and that there was oil around the turbo. The car was driving fine otherwise, but we were advised to replace both — and quoted £5,000 for the repairs.
This came at the worst possible time, as we’re due to get married this year. After much stress, we decided to use our wedding fund to pay for the repairs, hoping this would resolve the issue and preserve our investment in the car.
Before agreeing, we specifically asked whether the engine was healthy, and we were assured there were no other issues.
After two weeks, we collected the car. Within 2 days — and just 150 miles — the vehicle broke down on the motorway with our three young children in the car. It had to be towed and has now been back at Jaguar for over 7 weeks.
Calls and emails to the service manager and management went unanswered. We finally received an email informing us the bottom end of the engine had failed — after being told there were no engine issues just weeks before.
After repeated requests, Jaguar eventually gave us a courtesy car in the sixth week, but even that had faults (the rear passenger door didn’t open from the outside). By then, we had already spent hundreds on a hire car ourselves.
To make matters worse, Jaguar refused to help cover any further repairs, first claiming our car wasn’t serviced according to their schedule — which is not true. We have full service records. It turned out Stratstone/Sinclair had failed to send the correct information to JLR. Even after resending the correct records, JLR rejected our claim again, this time blaming the age of the vehicle.
We are now facing a £28,000 financial loss, with a car we can’t use, and may have to cancel our wedding because of this.
Jaguar promotes itself as a prestige brand, but our experience has been the complete opposite. We received no care, no accountability, and appalling communication. For a brand like Jaguar to treat customers this way — especially families in crisis — is shameful.
If you’re thinking about buying a Jaguar — please think twice. We wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
The salesman I dealt with was…
The salesman I dealt with was Charlie.Harrett who really took the time to look after me. I spoke to Charlie on the phone prior to viewing the vehicle to arrange an appointment then he sent me a video to introduce himself, which I thought was a nice touch. He went out if his way to make the part exchange and buying process as easy gas he could.
On collection of the vehicle he went above and behond to help me make sure my change of insurance was all okay.
He showed me round the car and explained how everything worked.
A couple of days later he rang me to check I was happy with my purchase.
I am so happy to have dealt with Vertu and especially Charlie.
A Warning to Prospective Jaguar/Land…
A Warning to Prospective Jaguar/Land Rover Owners: My Experience with Synter Bristol and Jaguar Reliability
This review highlights serious concerns for anyone considering a Jaguar or Land Rover, based on my experiences with a Synter dealer and my Jaguar XF.
Frustrating Service Delays & High Costs
Booking a service appointment at Synter Bristol is a major hurdle. Last year, I faced a two-month wait. More recently, on June 4th 2025, with six critical dashboard warnings illuminated, the earliest appointment offered was July 30th – nearly two months away! Driving with so many warnings for that long is unsafe and unacceptable. On top of that, Synter charges £222 for each warning light diagnosis, plus labour and parts. Their frequent questions about warranty/insurance status suggest they may prioritize customers still under coverage, leaving others with long waits and high bills.
Concerning Vehicle Reliability
My Jaguar XF has frequently displayed random dashboard warning lights. These aren't minor glitches; they often point to electrical system malfunctions, sensor issues, or other significant problems. The combination of unpredictable faults and extreme service delays makes addressing issues nearly impossible. This isn't just about repair costs (which can be substantial for common Jaguar issues like transmission, coolant, or timing chain problems); it's about constant worry and the inability to get timely fixes.
Consider Alternatives
Maintaining a Jaguar effectively, and safely, becomes a nightmare due to these lengthy waits and high service costs, compounded by the car's propensity for sudden faults. I strongly advise potential buyers to prepare for these challenges or, better yet, explore other automotive brands and dealers that prioritize efficient service and customer safety.
Save your time and money; look elsewhere
Want to give a fair unbiased and honest…
Want to give a fair unbiased and honest review of being an 2019 ipace owner of 4 years. Firstly the car has been very unreliable, in four years it's gone from 17k miles to 33k miles. In that time the car has been towed 3 times for leaking windscreens, brake and aux battery failures and multiple steering rack failures. Early on in 2021-2023 I'd say the customer service during this time at Edinburgh Newbridge was ok, prompt text messages, always had a courtesy car, had to battle a bit to get things covered on warranty but overall the best possible experience from a problematic car.
From 2024 though the experience has not been so good. When my car got towed in for the steering rack failure in December they had no car to offer me. It took loads of chased phone calls to find out when It will be looked at, and I was promised calls back numerous times but often didn't happen. In this time I had to escalate to Rory the site manager several times, often "he was in a meeting" or I had to quote consumer rights act and raise complaints at JLR online just to get things moving. It took 4 weeks to get the car fixed on warranty and sent back. I had to source my own hire car but after multiple escalations they did cover the cost. Fast forward to May I no longer have a warranty because it went up to £1500 a year. The steering rack failed again for a parts issue once again towed to site. After a diagnostic fee they charged me (which they eventually waved) it was found the rack failed due to a parts issue. 2 weeks later without a courtesy car they eventually repaired it only to damage another part in the workshop. Admitting their fault they fixed that the next day. I drove away hoping that was the last of it and looked to part exchange the car asap. I had a part ex lined up and 2 days later the steering went again! I had to cancel the part ex and lose a bit of value on my part ex value.
I drove it in again exhausted by the whole ordeal they fixed the ball joint attached to the steering a few days later. This time to be fair they gave me a courtesy car for that 1 day. Originally saying they were going to charge me they eventually waived it as it could have been caused by the rack failing twice.
As soon as I got the car back after a total of 7 weeks of it off the road in 6 months, I left it on my drive and had a home delivery part exchange to another brand. Just driving the thing gave me anxiety waiting for the next thing to fail so I didn't touch it. Finally it's gone and for me that's good riddance to JLR for me.
Personally I will never buy a land rover or jaguar again after this. In 25 years of driving I have never spent so much money on a car with so low mileage only to have these many problems and poor customer service. The response time was too slow, I expected a car when it was not my fault and tbh I should have been compensated more for not having a car for so long. JLR need to start acting like a premium luxury brand again cause right now you are likely to get a better experience and save a load of money owning a mid range brand.
Never again a Jaguar
Never again a Jaguar!
It seems to be a planetary issue and behaviour.
I’m writing this from Belgium after experiencing the same deeply negative issues. My E-Pace broke down after only 40,000 km, and it took a staggering 80 days to repair. The team of technicians seemed incapable of diagnosing the problem—are they even properly trained? They made several attempts to replace parts without any clear logic or plan.
To make matters worse, the customer service team at the reception desk was arrogant, pretentious, and downright rude. Their unprofessional behavior was offensive at times.
I strongly advise to avoid this brand!
I gave 1 star as teh syste does not allow to give a zero!
0/10
0/10 - absolutely appalling customer service and poor quality build. Our I-Pace has been with Jaguar since January and no-one seems to have a clue how to fix the problem. Head Office technical team appear completely disinterested to help the garage resolve the issue. The customer service team have been unhelpful, slow to respond and quite frankly rude. No end to the issue in sight - would NOT recommend and avoid like the plague!

Jaguar velar lots of issues all the black plastic in the car is actually white sprayed black and poorly done.
Got locked in the car all 4 doors had to climb out a window, great if you're in a accident.
The media system at times doesn't work.
Was it a £55,000 car l bought or a £5000 chinese banger.
Look why are they not going anything.
I would urge everyone to do a £300 claim at the small claims court cost £22.
It will cripple them only £22 lost I'd not successfully but £3000 for every case they need to fight.
Do it
How not to treat your customers
It would appear I am not alone in my views of Jaguar. I had been delighted with my purchase of a low mileage F-Pace, 3.0 V6. I bought this in Scotland so that I could part-exchange my non-ULEZ Land Rover. All has gone well until Friday last week when the route planning software with the Navigation System stopped working. I called the helpline to be informed that JLR are "moving away" from this. I pressed the lady to define "moving away" but she was a bit evasive. I suspect that JLR have not paid the software provider HERE who have therefore pulled the plug. This is obviously part of the rather naïve 'new start' to ditch all those irritating customers with all that potential loyalty. That should reduce the size, reach and integrity of the company to that which the current management can handle well.
This is absolutely outrageous
This is absolutely outrageous. A car with just 120,000 km (74,000 miles), fully serviced at the official dealership, now needs a complete engine replacement? That’s beyond unacceptable. I followed every guideline, did every service on time, and still ended up with a catastrophic failure. This is either a manufacturing defect or a complete lack of quality control. I trusted this brand, and now I’m left with a massive repair bill. Never again.

I always wanted a Jaguar as they were a symbol of Healthy British clean living cars.... But i changed my mind as now you want your market to be for woke virtue signalling and you are encouraging people to have mental health issues and endangering them into a life with no positive future
I feel sorry for your factory workers
Don’t be as STUPID as me….
I bought a electric ipace Jaguar three years ago for £80,000 cash, the salesman told me that it will hold its price, I was shocked to find it’s only worth £22,000 so I lost £58,000. Where would I be if I paid for it monthly HP. So I feel very sorry for those that did, but even more sorry for myself for being foolish to buy it in the first place.
Jaguar service staples corner showroom
Jaguar service staples corner showroom. £1000, crap service and crap staff. Torn tyre which they said they can't replace, car given back without any cleaning. I complained to Warren the service manager, and he said can't do anything about it.
This review is not about the service
This review is not about the service, this is to warn anyone from buying a Jaguar F Pace, please google Jaguar F Pace steering mount water ingress. This is a known issue, I have been told my steering has failed after 60000 miles, they are saying it isnt water ingress so more alarming how does a car that cost over £40000 have steering failure, I am being told this is wear and tear, the car is used to do about 5000 miles per year and has for the last 5 years, for the steering to go after so few miles I would avoid Jaguar at all costs. Do your research I am left with a bill of over £4000 to repair the car, I have a small Peugeot 208 which runs better and cost a fraction of the price.
Worst purchase ever
I’ve had my Ipace for around 16 months and over the last 6 months it’s been in the garage several times for days at a time with battery cell issues. The car only charges to 72% when it has this issue and takes weeks for them to get the battery cells delivered, so highly annoying to be left with a car which can only do 150 miles on a full charge as in reality you’ll only get 120-130 out of the 150 it says. It’s now happened again and this time I have to wait nearly 3 months for them to get the cells delivered 3 MONTHS!!!! What an absolute joke, so by the time I get them fitted it’ll probably come straight up saying an other one is faulty and we’ll start over again. The car has 36 cells and they say they’ll only do a report if you’ve been back more than 7 times to get new cells fitted. Honestly the amount of time money and hassle is just ridiculous I’ll never go back to having a jaguar or a Range Rover again as that was never out of the garage either.
