Haven Holidays 

This has to be the worst caravan park in the world, expensive con merchants and it’s legal. There idea of a deluxe caravan was certainly not ours, the whole outfit is a shambles from top to bottom. The food was disgusting along with some staff’s attitude. The caravan was £642 for a three night stay, the caravan was dirty not worth the money. It was an expensive lesson not to use Haven again.

Caravan and Doniford site AMAZING but all the rules and bookings is so poor here for one week and can have one night out! We had less trouble last year in the peak, more frustrating whne the likes if Butlins have scrapped most of their bookings!

Given a one star because their was no option to leave nothing.
Absolutely heartbreaking after the hardship we have endured over the last year or so.
We was told our caravan wasn’t ready on arrival so to come back in one hour.
When we did arrive at the caravan ( we paid for prestige caravan )
Turned up to find we was put in a basic caravan, not only did we not have water we had a broken fridge, dirty furniture and carpets.
I went straight to the reception to be received by a not so helpful lady who clearly couldn’t care less so I had to ask to speak to the manager.
Eventually the manager arrived who was adamant that we had the right caravan until she drove round to see it for herself, who agreed and apologised.
We was again eventually given the caravan we had paid for ( £1,384 ) ONE WEEK ( shame on you for taking advantage of a bad situation )
We had also paid for stay & play passes… what a waste of money that was as everything was fully booked, we couldn’t get on one thing.
No swimming, children’s groups, golf, bikes, boats the lot.
My children were heartbroken, this was their holiday.
We turned up to the restaurant at 12:15 which was empty, we was told to come back at 12:30 and if no-one turns up we can then be seated, to add to the frustration all the staff were stood around chatting and helping themselves to a drink at the bar.
The papa johns were closed due to track and trace so couldn’t even eat there.
Costa coffee machine was broken.
In the children’s arcade some of the machines were broken also.
As we walked through the site we could hear many with the same frustrations as we had.
This was not the happy holiday we had so been looking forward too.
Even owners that we had met didn’t have a good thing to say.

The caravan was small but sufficient.
The day after arrival we had to queue to try and book evening entertainment. After queing for 1hr we were told that no entertainment was available for the whole of our holiday. We had managed to book a swimming session but because of the queing we missed that.
We had paid extra for Stay and Play but there was no Play.
Managed to get some money back from Haven but not as much as i had paid for the Play Part of Stay and Play.
I Would not use Haven again.

Just got back from Devon Cliffs. We rented a privately run caravan on the site and therefore had to pay for 'entertainment' passes. This cost £164 for one week for two adults and a child. The passes were for the swimming and the shows that are put on throughout the day, the evening show being the highlight.
Firstly the swimming. Booking only, one hour sessions only. We arrived on Friday and tried to book sessions for daytime and were told that all week there were only evening sessions (6pm) left. By this time the outside pool was shut so we never even saw it.
The entertainment again had to be booked and the earliest booking available (from our arrival on Friday) was Wednesday night. So we tried queuing for Saturday (in the rain) but when we got in there was nowhere to sit so we had to go back to the caravan.
There were two restaurants (again you needed to book). One was closed down due to staff getting Covid, which then overloaded the other which was soon constantly fully booked.
Adventure playground, again fully booked all week, my daughter couldn't get on.
Wifi or data signals didn't reach our caravan so booking was impossible by phone anyway and so had to be done at the venue.
Basically you are fleeced for the so called entertainment passes (they don't actually pass you unless you have a booking) as the amount you pay far exceeds the poor reality of what you get. Also the whole park is far too overloaded to cope with the what they are offering.
We were all glad to get out and will never book a Haven holiday again.

Zero rating for me

I have visited many Haven holiday parks over the years and always found them acceptable and clean. This was not my recent experience at Weymouth.

When we arrived clearly the floor had not been brushed/mopped. Table / Kitchen surfaces not wiped over. There were stains on the wall in the bathroom that could have only been one thing! Windows filthy and the footpath outside the caravan was appalling, cigarette stubs/scourers/rubbish, weeds, generally unkept.

I checked in online and informed them I was not happy and would like a member of the Haven team to contact me - they never.

I received a survey asking me about my stay when we left and also provided my feedback, again I have not been contacted by anyone.

If I could add pictures I would. Very disappointing.

One star as unable to give less! I have been going to Haven since I was a child and have taken my children for many years! Always found Haven to be amazing for family holidays!

Just returned from a week at Devon cliffs and this will be my last holiday with the company!

We only accessed the entertainment on evening and had to queue if we wanted to go to more (and risk being turned away). Limited swimming slots, bars closed 9:30-10. When we questioned that we were advised that we were lucky as they were not going to open at all that evening (it is peak holiday season!!) unable to book restaurants, activities fully booked! From my observations nothing to do with Covid restrictions as the arcades and clubs were packed (and no one was wearing a mask).

Greedy company who pack the park full of guests and supply insufficient facilities to cater for the numbers! Poor value for money. Rude staff and few of them! Would avoid at all costs!!!

Just got back from perran sands. Just to say I’ve been going here for about 30 years. From when I was a child to now taking my own children. I’ve never had any problems before and have always loved it. This time was very different. Rude staff, all activities booked up before we even got there, restaurant was terrible and food undercooked, you now have to queue for the entertainment, we were getting about and hour and a half of entertainment per night. And then getting rushed out at the end. The list goes on. Everything is over priced and it’s under staffed. The entertainment is awful because they’re trying to grab as much profit as possible. It’s a total rip off. I urge anyone who is about to go, to get their money back. The only good thing was the check in because you do that ad you drive in which is a great idea and quick apart from that avoid this place.

We went to haven and were disgusted the caravan was sealed to say it had been cleaned initially the caravan was spotless until we opened the twin bedroom we were shocked by the smell of stale urine contacted reception next day emptied the room and sprayed it the cleaner had mask and was coughing with the smell couldn't fail the cleaners as they sprayed the room removed the bedding and mattresses and said the carpet would be shampooed after a few calls and emails still no contact thankfully we only had one child and the smell never went through the caravan as the door was shut a big let down from haven as no response when emailed will never use them again customer service was shocking

Just come back from Perran sands, first of all found staff very pleasant, only able to swim once in 1 week all booked up, one of the main reasons for going, personally speaking much better value at local caravan sites, would never ever go back, total rip-off

Devon cliffs was absolutely awful. We just arrived home and my family had books 3 caravans at a ridiculous amount of money, we were not able to use our stay and play passes, only allowed to book entertainment for one two hour session per holiday. Swimming was restricted and the activities were all
fully booked. The bars closed early and the main Entertainment venue was closed. Stay away from Haven as they haven’t got the facilities to cater for the amount of people that they book, it is nothing to do with Covid as there no social distanced tables, it was just chaotic.
Awful company and expensive prices

I would like to hear from anyone that was staying at Weymouth Seaview Holday park from Monday 12th of July to Friday 16th of July.

No Catering Facilities (Resteraunt totally shut, Pizza place totally shut)

Bars closing at 9.30pm

Unable to book facilities as the advertised facilities were not open ( and hadnt been since may in some cases)

Onsite manager told us that they would be unable to respond to our on site complaint in a timely manner due to shear amount of complaints and issues. We complained to Haven upon our return also and the same thing was said.

Reception gave me a form to complete and told me to "Fill it in and return it, everyone is complaining"

I believe that Have were fully aware they could not provide facilities paid for under "stay and play"

I had to leave hours after arriving because my young daughter became unwell and I was worried. Reception weren’t open in the morning so I had to tell security the situation. It states in their covid policy you have to leave immediately if anyone becomes unwell unless you’re too ill to travel and then let them know. So we left. But they refused to give me even a partial refund. I’m disappointed with their treatment during the uncertain times of Covid and feel let down! We were trying to follow the Covid rules etc. and it cost over £577. I wanted some money back so I could have taken my children another time when fully recovered. Paid extra for Stay +play but as we were only there for 13 hours couldn’t use. Also paid extra £16 insurance cover. They just seem to take your money on booking and then don’t care about your holiday. Won’t be using Haven again.

So i gave Haven a 1 star review before i went just because i could not get my grandkids in anywhere to do anything plus what i and booked was being cancelled because there staff just all kept getting covid ,I had booked a Platinum van at a shocking £300 a night (I do hope when covid is over we all get on planes and leave Cornwall and its greedy people to sit in empty caravans and hotels) .Anyway still dont think i got value for money but the guys on the Perrin Sands site came through ok for us .The guys at the pool got us all in for an hour everyday and we got an evening entertainment ..even though it was awful and you had to down load a million apps to get drinks or take part the bloke was like a young Alan Carr but on crack and as funny as a dose of the clap, The van and site was awesome the entertainment rancid the food not too bad and the shop on the site would make Ronnie Biggs look a rank amature when it came to robbery .Maybe Covid is the issue but what ever it is an excellent set up is being ruined by poor management and pure greed and a need to rip its customers off

I just paid just under 1500 for a week in August to get an email now saying we have to book swimming and entertainment but there is no saying we will be able use the facilities so phoned them to try and cancel and I will only get 10% refund back please don't book haven hoildays as you pay loads of money to stay in a caravan for time your there waste of money and will not give any money back for loss of entertainment

When we booked haven we have been a few times various places and booked to come to church farm bogna regius had some crap about check in time as we would lose a day of our holiday but that was from customer service when we got here the staff was fantastic very help full staff so much fun had some great times with the staff my kids a bit older and where treated with respect nothing was too much trouble the only thing I would say is the entertainment room 6 45 pm should be aimed at the older family and not as Rory the tiger time overall a better holiday than expected but not as good as Park Dean Holidays sorry

It has been three months and numerous emails plus two 40 minute waiting on hold phone calls and Haven still can't explain why they haven't refunded me. I've now had to commence legal proceedings. Shambolic customer service, it would be easier getting through to the Queen.

This is one of the responses I had from haven management complaints I’m disgusted in it there was no investigation with park and they are not bothered at all as my previous reviews the altercation was not our fault but we’ve been punished in more ways than one. This is no sort of apology it’s a cop out in a separate review I will post the icing on the cake of what the park did you do need to read my other reviews to see how badly we were treated a family of six with 4 disabled children we’ve been on a lot of haven holidays and never had a issue we are a quite family despite my children’s needs. We have been on a lot of holidays no issues but this company please don’t waste your money and so there is no confusions these reviews are about are experiences at the park the staff the accommodation the food the dirty bedding the discrimination of disabilities the discrimination of are nationality conning money for activities that cannot be fulfilled destroying disabled children’s holidays when they were much needed and last but not least the failure of safety at a park that the majority is full of children. Oh and sorry don’t forget being the victim and being treated like we were the aggressors for trying to defend and keep our family safe after being assaulted by a guest and the staff and so called security !!!!!

I am sorry you had so many problems, just to state we are not a specialist holiday company and try to be inclusive for all.

With regards to booking slots for swimming restaurants and the showbar this does need to be done in advance as much as possible, we have been limiting the amount of people in the venue’s for covid safety. It is possible on occasion to book slots whilst on park although waiting around is not for everybody I am sorry you missed out in this aspect.

The bedding should have been clean I have alerted the accommodation manager about this and asked them to double check the duvets and pillows they have prior to using or offering them to guests.

The unfortunate events that followed meant a sad and abrupt end to your holiday, I was not present and so I do not have firsthand knowledge of what happened, but we do reserve the right to ask a guest to leave should we feel this necessary. When this happened, we do not refund the booking

Absolutely gutted that we have been given check in time of 6pm-7pm with young children and looking forward to the start of a holiday its not acceptable. Friday should be included we cant even get into the park to make use of entertainment! total disappointment will never book again

My mum paid over £800 for a deluxe caravan at primrose valley.the caravan was clean but shabby.the soft furnishings are filthy and they need a good steam clean as do the carpets plus the curtains were hanging awful because there wasnt enough curtain clips.the fire wasnt working and the boiler had been switched off at the wall.she reported it and the maintainence bloke came within the hour.the staff was lovely BUT my mother is in her 70s and her mobility isnt great.the caravan was miles from the on site shop so had to ring a taxi which was £7.50 each way.she had such a awful time she came home a day earlier than she should have.we have written a complaint over a month ago and heard nothing back so now im doing this review.not worth the money definately not
