Went on holiday to haggerston castle total joke wasp hive in caravan chip shop closed all week no customer service what so ever emaied ceo 6 times about my complaints couldnt even answer me total joke of a company better off booking with parkdean avoid haven holidays at all costs

It’s great if you want to go to a park where nothing is open. Op down to The Lakeside, I don’t think so it’s closed. Take the kids to the funfair, again closed. PAY for a pass, yes pay to spend money,to go into the kids room, open 4.30 till 6 then it’s bingo. Never mind try the swimming pool, sorry it’s fully booked. Haven are ripping people off since they hit on the idea to charge people to enter their facilities, which in itself is totally unacceptable, but even worse is the fact that when you have bought your pass nothing is available. Well I have been using Haven for nearly 40 years but no more I’m done. It is all geared to money money money, and see how much they can screw you for.

We have not started our holiday as yet but have just been informed our check in time is not until between 5 and 6pm after a 4 hour car journey with children and 2 dogs. They have informed me we can arrive an hr early and sit on the decking for an hour as dogs cannot go in the building!

I stayed at hafon y mor and to cut a long story short there was no stock at the bar, no stock in shops, staff just said its end of season and non of them cared about anything (suppose they're not bothered at this time of year) the caravan had a used sock behing the sofa, the toilets in the entertainment was never cleaned and they kept no record of when it was last checked, the entertainment was terrible which at haven I always found it great, to sum up non of the staff wanted to be there and couldn't care less. I won't be returning to a haven again. A shame because we always loved it. I guess it's one of those companies that has let its standards slide and I presume won't be around for much longer

You'd think that in this pandemic, these staycation resorts would try to up their game to get more custom....but not haven!

AVOID COMBE HAVEN !!!!
We went to combe haven on our long awaited family moon after our wedding was postponed 3 times due to covid.. we got there on the 18th of October and left the evening of the 19th all very disappointed and upset. I've never been somewhere soo terrible. A 20 minute walk to the Club all up hill with a double buggy was terrible. No staff to talk to about anything. Then people decided to do work in the caravan next door to us at 11.30 pm !!!! Walking up our very small children. The club was a disaster no mention of covid rules in place but being kicked out the club for 45 mins after each session and being made to queue again in the rain not guaranteed to get our seats back !! Also loads of guests arguing with staff as they also didn't know about the rules. Such unfriendly staff !!!! X also have a partner and child with autism leaving the club like that and having to queue again in the rain and everything really messed them up!!! X this holiday was horrible and we really want our money back as we came home after one day. I've sent 2 emails to haven and they have both been ignored so we will be taking this much further!!!!!!!

Dirty caravan dirty utensils, we could not book swimming as fully booked. Entertainment was so bad apart from 1 show. A few of the staff were rude one in particular, although a few years before when we were thinking of buying a van he was so so nice. Drunk guests screaming and shouting when they left the onsite bar late st night. We asked before our holiday for a quiet position because of 2 small children so they put us near a bar. Plus it was very awkward to get to the van and we were put at the bottom of the hill. The activities were a rip off i. e. Archery.. my grandson only got a quarter of the alloted time as they were put in groups and had to wait for a turn, this also happened at the wall climbing. I bought some milk from the online shop this had gone off, although I was given another they told me that they knew the milk was going off. All in all A total waste if mobey. The money back guarantee was no good as we cleaned the van and should have left the dirt. We took pictures but apparently that was not good enough. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!

The caravan was nice enough, but the club house experience was a big disappointment. There just wasn’t anything entertaining about queuing to sit in the club house for about an hour, watching three young ladies try to dance on the stage and then being rushed out by a rude member of staff that tried to tip away a freshly bought glass of wine! Absolute rubbish. The site isn’t much better, either. We were plonked right next to a family that stayed outside the caravan all night, making loads of noise. No decent places to eat. No beach nearby. Bit of a dump in my opinion. Won’t be going back again.

I have loved visiting this holiday park since I was a child and for the last 3 years we have visited the touring site. This year was a very happy experience and I would just like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all the the staff there but in particular to Mark and the crew on the Touring site and: Rachel, Alicia, Cia, Stuart, Gary, Lily, Sophie, Paige, Maiya, Bellini, Sian and Chloe in the Surf Bay restaurant - you were all so amazing. 🤩

stayed in the apartments at craig tara on arrival the twin room was smelling strongly of bleach as my kids was going to be using that room i opened the window and we went out for some food. We came back and i went to close the window and the smell of urine coming from the twin room was absolutely disgusting i called to complain and someone came out and sprayed the room with Febreeze which only made the smell of urine worse went to reception and complained to them and i was told a cleaner would come and change the bedding and mattresses but no one showed all other guest that had complaints where getting showered with gifts and vouchers and we just got ignored to the point we had to came home early.

SETON SANDS
Booked Monday to Friday , dekixe caravan , the caravan was spotless, central heating so nice and warm.the bostue best restaurant is very poor , the staff are lovely but for the price of the food its rubbish , the fish fingers and chips ny little one had where like the cheapest frozen brand , the mashed potato is hard and lumpy ,if they want to charge those prices they need to uo the standard of food ! They have no desserts only ice cream, tabkes could do wuth being replaced, the one we had was wobbly not very handy , the activities I booked for my wee one where ok , the seaside slime is a waste of money , ajd had no tins to put it in so where told to go to boatie blest ti get a coffee cup and they had no lids 🙄we missed out on grssshead creations because it was nit stated on the booking that it is away uo the top if the site in a tiny shed thst is very rub down ( all the activity team members where lovely) sand bottles was a favourite, the cleaning in amusements , soft play and showbar could of been better , and the amount of people not wearing masks unreal , bradleys mission was good but ut was like going out looking for pokemons, no stickers for the wee ones to look for just ping ping when we reached another clue

I just want to say a massive thank you to Heather in the boardwalk (hafan y mor) She was amazing with us bringing in our assistance dog for my daughter with autism. She went above and beyond and was so so understanding and helpful. Thank you Heather

we went to thornwick bay for 7 days got most expensive caravan on apparently quietest part of site . jesus christ it was a construction site week away to relax by god this was a night mare woke up every morning 8am by tractors driller n all the rest of it which carried on thru most of day disgraceful for a holiday place ppl stay clear of paying more for malham area its a construction site oh and the reception staff are very very rude apart from the guy !!! the only good thing abt this place was entertaintment staff great with kids rest are just bams tbh

In general haven holidays is a lovely place to be for entertainment purposes and activities, in NewQuay Wales specifically the staff are friendly however in some aspects very rude and inconsiderate. The amount of money it costs to be there and the amount of money we had spent there is ridiculous for what it is worth. I am 18 years of age and no I don’t have an ID but one drink on holiday isn’t illegal and just because I don’t have huge tits, 30 layers of powder on my face and wear sport clothes instead of sl*tty clothes it does not make me a child. I will get to that now but my first complaint is in regards to my mother, for what her meal was worth she didn’t enjoy it at all, and actually felt ill the next day, leaving her unmotivated and wanting to leave, the staff in the restaurant were lovely but once again I couldn’t have one drink whilst eating my meal even with an ID I would have only had one drink! Which btw one drink is legal with parental consent with a meal when you are 16 and I am EIGHTEEN, I do not look that young!! I feel insulted if they actually thought I was some 13 year old for Christ sake! My second complaint well is the same situation under different circumstances, which was the final straw to us going home, we left at 7pm on Wednesday and we’re supposed to be staying til Friday but planned on leaving Thursday. We originally planned to go to the entertainment at 6:30, but decided to go there earlier which I guess what a mistake and ended up leaving at 6:25 missing what my sisters had been waiting for all day because of this. Ok so you come and ID me after my mum buys a drink,which I gave her the money for half a pint in a place like that is a lot of money, rather than just grabbing it walking away and refusing a refund my mother could have drank it which she said she would but instead he grabs it walks away REFUSED A REFUND AND REFUSED TO LET HER DRINK A DRINK THAT SHE PAID MONEY FOR!! What a joke. It’s the principle behind it how rude, In my eyes that should be a crime, my mother could have drank that drink which she said “I’ll drink it” and he continued to walk away and said “no” which is well robbery isn’t it? It’s not what it is it’s the principle. We would have stayed there and watched the entertainment like planned! We would still be there now actually! The entertainment was a joke anyway apart from one woman who was a decent singer. The principle behind stealing a drink, walking away, refusing to let the other adult drink it which I am an adult but sorry I don’t have 30 layers of powder on my face and don’t have a body like a pornstar, if I did I guarantee they wouldn’t have said anything! The people behind the bar looked hardly older than me anyway! So after that my mum said “let’s just go home” that’s what we did by 7pm we had left, ruining the last night of our stay. That same day Wednesday October the 20th 2021 I decided to have food which once again I’m sat there drinking coke, the day before all I wanted was one drink, my mum is sat there getting drunk, 6 pints later and I’m not allowed one?? So it’s ok for me to chain smoke which’s is literal cancer in paper outside the door but can’t have one drink which encouraged me to smoke more to be honest! If you have freckles that means your a child…. Urm I don’t think so I left school 3 years ago, I live by myself so I’m not even with my family anymore which I would be if we were still there which we should be! The drink isn’t the reason my mum left however it was the last straw and only because they refused a refund or for her to drink what was rightfully hers! What the hell NewQuay?? Anyway Wednesday the 20th I had the hunters chicken, for what it was worth I am unimpressed with the quality, for pudding raspberry and apple crumble which I’m going to be honest was appalling! considering on Tuesday I had a really amazing baguette and the best chocolate fudge cake afterwards and especially the quantity is a joke, what I ordered on the side to go with the hunters chicken should have been with the meal to begin with for the price and My last complaint is well just before leaving me and my sister stood at the ticket prize booth for a good 10 minutes my mum and sisters are just wanting to leave at this point which thanks mate really thanks we were supposed to be sat in the entertainment, which even if he issued a refund, or let my mum drink it then we would have stayed but nice one really, a full half, I had one tiny sip, but back to the ticket booth the guy working behind it clearly saw us and I counted him walk past us 4 times helping out all the other people and took his sweet sweet time to come and help us which is rude in my eyes. We’d still be there now but the principle behind that, coming and taking someone’s drink off them in holiday! Oh have a great time but we’re going to rob you whilst you’re at it! Nice Newquay really! I finally had a drink at the local pub when home anyway as I am not a kid

We arrived at Lakeland on 15/10/21 stayed until 18/10/21 our caravan wasn't good the sofa's weren't to comfortable there were six of us and there was only 5 pillows for sleeping I telephone reception to tell them we needed more pillows they said they would sort it but it wasn't no pillows came and also 2 of the duvets had stains on them.Also the caravan roof was leaking as it rained all Saturday and Sunday,the grill on the cooker would not light the we had to use a lighter to use,and when I got the frying pan out to use it was full of grease and had not been cleaned,the roasting pan was the same,and when my grandson dropped a small car in the lounge it went under the bed settee which we had to move out and was shocked it was filthy under and behind the settee,thought extra cleaning was done at your accommodation which is not the case.overall disappointed with the caravan you should do more checks as regards the cleanliness of caravan.c&p.

We booked a Monday - Friday trip, Stay and Play in a luxury caravan with no dogs.
I wasn’t really expecting everything to be amazing, as I’ve stayed in a few dodgy caravans over the years, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Check in was 1500 - 1600, however, knowing we would be late we notified them of this via the Haven app. When we arrived, a staff member stopped us and gave us our welcome pack. Easy peasy.

The caravan was spotless and looked almost brand new. It was quite hard to find but it is a big site.

Due to Covid, you have to book to see the entertainment, but this can be done in person in the morning in the Funzone entertainment centre.

The entertainment was okay to be fair, it’s not Moulin Rouge after all. And it’s table service for drinks.

The beds were comfy too. I love those pillows! Wish I knew where they got them!

The swimming pool was great, although again you do have to book due to Covid.

We all enjoyed our stay, even my picky mum who normally whinges about the cleanliness of holiday accommodation.

I love the phrase on the entertainment venue walls: “Save your legs with a 4 pint pitcher!”

We arrived at 5 30pm on the Friday at church farm Pagham, as check in was between 5 and 6pm which is ridiculous. On arrival polite staff at gate. Once we got to our van we was set next to a dirty caravan that was clearly owned covered in mud looked grim like something from the film 8 mile. Was rather chilly so decided to put the fire on this didn't work and kept tripping. After finding a nice chippy down the road as the 1 on site was 45 minute wait overpriced and looked awful, we went to bed. Beds were so uncomfortable. I mean didn't expect 5 star but woke up with the worst back ache. Morning came and no spachuler to fry my egg. Had to use a poxy large spoon and potato masher to make do looool. Went to the mash and barrel this pub/restaurant is available to those who didn't want the passes. Again I find stupid. I mean I don't have kids so don't want all the activities would just be nice to have a pint in the show room. I've had better food in whether spoons ordered a burger and chips asked for sauce separate and it came out woth the slaw separate loool when I asked for the sauce I was told the slaw was the sauce 😅 finally got the sauce. Bland and over priced chicken and bacon burger and a butter chicken burger with slaw inside and sauce came to like 24 qiud rip off. We got a deluxe van so wasn't expecting much to be honest however no towels were provided (we pack our own ) but other sites I've been to always provide these. However unless u go prestige you don't get it which is a joke seeing how expensive they are you would expect a few towels. On the table they provide a bag and note stating we must strip all used lining and put it in a bag to be honest for the price I paid I expect u to do that! So overall 250 qiud for Friday (check in 5/6pm) to Monday (checkout 10am) no spachuler for me poxy egg no fire to roast my toes, no towels and cardboard food. And the staff in the mash and barrel look so depressed too. Also broke my boyfriend as no sports shown on site like the hell is that about ? We left Sunday midday. The sight of the van next to us was a dive. Had better stays at Parkdene

Clean caravan,well equipped ,our original check in was 5-6pm which in my opinion was ridiculous,thankfully got a txt saying we could get in at 3pm, facilities were ok as we're amusements,the entertainment however was organised terribly,limited to a 1.5hr slot per session,which led to queuing at least 30mims before just to get in,only to find the people who had booked were in the same queue as people who hadn't ,this happened every day we were there,meaning by the time you actually got in ,there was limited seating and had already eaten into your time allowed in the venue,really need to sort this out as it really does spoil an otherwise decent site,sorry but I've been 3 times now and don't think I can do it again until this is sorted .

Went too thornwick Bay site staff, chippy brilliant, security a joke would feel safer in bates motel, and the bar service so poor that Oliver Reed would have thought he was in rehab no TV no sports in football season and table service total waste of time and effort end up going to the bar just to get a drink save your money and stay in your caravan

Checked in Monday our slot was 4-5 we got there at 4 was checked in drove to our home but had cleaners sat inside having pot noodles, she said so sorry won’t be long we had to sit till 5.45 outside an hour and 45 with two toddlers and a ten year old!! The late check in is bad anyway never mind waiting for cleaners! The home was very very small we was all hanging off the beds we called them match stick beds very thin and very short our legs hung off! There’s not that much to do there they cost a bomb which is not worth it, the clubs ok for kids but the way could shut the doors in clubs so kids can’t run out and run to arcades if you take eyes of them for two seconds or have a few little ones , there’s the odd pan in there but if you want towels another expensive so literally have to pack your whole house just for a few days we booked Monday to Friday but left Thursday at 10am and didn’t get in till late Monday so was a waste of time I’d never book in school holidays the prices are ridiculous, Burger King is so cold too the food is literally freezing! The money you spend you could have a nice holiday abroad! There’s so many drunk people too keeping you awake all night , didn’t enjoy it but a weekend is long enough we stayed weekend few years ago was ok but booked Monday to Friday like I said checked out a fay early was so bored we went Rhyl twice and went the arcade with the play barns and food, we’re happy to be home early and won’t return x
