Our excursion with Go Etna was perfect. Our guide Salvo made the experience even more incredible because of his kindness and knowledge of the volcano. We recommend this excursion and we thank the Go Etna team

The excursion was great, also the guides were very good, we got a lot of interesting information. We would like to specially praise guide Marco, who explained a lot of interesting things about volcanos. His passion with volcanos is inspiring. In the end we did a short but nice hiking with Marco who explained many interesting things about stones, lava, different eruptions and he also took us to an interesting lava cave. We can recommend this tour to everyone who want to experience and learn about the volcano but for any reason cannot do the summit trekking,

Nous avons passé une journée formidable. Un grand merci à Giuseppe, notre guide, qui nous a accompagné pendant notre visite, grâce à lui nous avons visité des paysages magnifiques mais également appris pleins de choses passionnantes sur l’Etna et la sicile. Nous avions uniquement réservé la demi journée, et on a déjà hâte de revenir pour faire la journée complète.

The Tour was not like expected. The pictures on the website are not what you will see. It’s just a Tour in the Etna-Park nothing more. For that the tour was good organized and the guide very friendly, open and direct.

Our family of 4 (kids age 11 and 13) had a great time learning and exploring Etna. Salvo, our driver and tour guide was really awesome. He was pleasant and knowledgeable about the volcano, history and Sicilian culture. It was worth every penny!

Sergey and David were very diligent, on time and friendly. Always went out of their way to try give us the best experience.

Our Etna trip was truly amazing, the team was great and our driver told us many interesting bits along the way.

Guides were really engaged and knowledwgable. Some of the breaks could have been shorter - but then again this is up to personal taste.

Unser Guide Francesco erklärte auf der Halbtagestour super alles rund um den Vulkan, auch so, dass die Kinder die Zusammenhänge gut verstehen konnten. Die kleine Höhlentour war ebenfalls spannend für alle. Und der abschließende Rundgang über ein Lavafeld hatte zwar ein paar Steigungen, war aber für alle gut machbar. Wer die Mühen der Gipfeltour scheut, aber an Hintergründen interessiert ist, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Klare Empfehlung vor allem für Familien mit noch kleineren Kindern (unsere sind 8 Jahre alt).

We booked the Etna Summit Tour with pickup from Catania and paid €185 per person.

A few days before the tour, it was postponed from Monday to Friday due to volcanic activity. We completely understand that safety comes first and that these circumstances are beyond the company’s control.

However, on the day of the tour we were only informed at the meeting point that the summit tour was no longer possible. We were offered either a refund or an alternative excursion. By that time, we had already travelled to the meeting point and used the pickup service, so we decided to join the alternative tour.

The alternative route turned out to be a much shorter downhill hike (about 6.5 km) and did not match the summit experience we had originally booked. We later discovered that this alternative excursion is offered as a separate, lower-priced tour, while we had paid for the premium summit tour.

After the excursion, I politely contacted Go-Etna several times by email and WhatsApp to request a partial refund reflecting the price difference between the tour we booked and the one we actually received. Unfortunately, I never received any response.

The guides themselves were professional and friendly, and this review is not about them. My disappointment is entirely due to the lack of communication before the tour and the complete absence of customer service afterwards.

I hope Go-Etna improves its communication and customer support in situations where tours have to be significantly modified.

Everything went smoothly right from the very beginning. It was super convenient that we could rent hiking boots. Our guide David and the driver were true gentlemen, and we constantly felt their genuine care. David showed us fantastically beautiful, breathtaking places and shared a lot of interesting stories about Mount Etna. Thank you so much for everything! Wishing you all the best!

We booked the Etna Summit Trekking Tour but the summit was closed due to recent eruptions. Even though we didn’t see the main crater up close we had a great time. Our guide Fabio was amazing! He did a great educational tour, he joked and offered to take pictures. If we come back to Sicily we’ll definitely book another trip to Etna and ask for a tour with Fabio!

En mai nous avions réservé une ascension pour la journée à 110€ (qui n’est plus proposée apparemment …) avec ensuite une visite des gorges et d’un lac.
Sauf que nous ne sommes pas montés à l’altitude promise malgré de très bonne conditions météo.
Nous avons fait un passage éclair aux gorges (qui étaient remplies de monde étant donné que c’est accessible sans guide) mais nous ne sommes jamais allés au lac.
Quand nous avons demandé pourquoi (par mail) à un responsable nous n’avons jamais eu de réponse …
Nous avons payé 30€ de plus que la demie journée mais sans intérêt, au delà du fait qu’on ne fasse pas tout ce qui était prévu dans la journée …
Le seul bon point c’était le guide vraiment tres sympa !
