Super Tour mit einer hervorragenden Organisation. Leider waren bei der gebuchten deutschen Tour die Erklärungen im Bus nur auf Englisch. Das war schade, da dafür unsere Englischkenntnisse nicht ausreichen und deshalb hatten wir ja auch die Deutsche Tour gebucht.😢

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the way our situation has been handled. Our Ryanair flight from Budapest to Catania was cancelled, meaning it was completely impossible for us to reach Sicily and take part in our booked Etna tour.

I informed Go-Etna immediately and explained that the cancellation was entirely beyond our control. I understand that cancellation policies exist, but given these exceptional circumstances, I hoped that some flexibility or at least an alternative solution could be offered.

I have since contacted the company again but have not received a response. We were genuinely looking forward to this tour, so the lack of communication has been particularly disappointing.

I would still very much appreciate it if someone from Go-Etna could contact me so that we can hopefully find a fair solution.

I had a great expérience in the Etna. The drivers are really good, then Francesco, my volcanologue guide, was helpfull to anyone in the team, he has an incredible knowledge of the Etna, and it was interesting to listen to him. At the end, we enjoyed to be on the summit crater.

It's amazing! Our tour guide and driver Alessandro was knowledgeable and so nice :)

We booked the full-day tour, and to be honest, if it wasn’t for our main guide David, the entire day would have been a complete waste of time and money.

The morning started with unnecessary delays, spending time at a petrol station pick-up point to join a convoy even though our vehicle was already full. Despite advertising a "4x4 Jeep off-road experience," we were driven around in a Ford Tourneo with 4x4 stickers slapped on it over a broken, old road for no more than ten minutes. The actual Mount Etna portion consisted of just a quick stop at a lava cave and a 45-minute hike up an old side eruption—be aware that this tour goes nowhere near the summit.

Our hiking guide, while polite, was extremely impatient. He never waited for the group to gather before speaking at information stops (meaning a lot of people just tuned out) and seemed far more interested in chatting with three young women in our group than guiding us.

The second half of the day went downhill fast:

* **The Lunch:** Served at a local restaurant where we felt like an absolute inconvenience. The food was extremely basic, and it was obvious that paying walk-in customers were being served completely different quality food.
* **The Gorge Visit:** Felt completely rushed and tacked-on just to pad out the itinerary and justify the high price tag.

**The Only Bright Spot:**
Our main guide, David, was excellent—experienced, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable. He shared great insights throughout the day and single-handedly saved the tour from being an absolute zero.

**Final Verdict:**
This tour is heavily inflated in price for what you actually get. The main road up the mountain is in excellent condition, so you are far better off renting a car and driving up yourself. Unless you have mobility issues or an injury where a short excursion helps, skip the full-day tour entirely—it is definitely not worth the money.

For the larger group, the tour was professionally organized and led by three guides. Even the ride up Mount Etna in the special bus was an adventure in itself. Above 3,000 meters, conditions were foggy, very windy, and cold and damp (3°C). Nevertheless, we felt safe and well looked after by the fantastic guides throughout the trip. Our guide Fabio (a geologist/volcanologist) shared fascinating and vivid insights into Mount Etna and the geology of Sicily. Participants should definitely have a reasonable level of basic fitness. Overall, a fantastic experience that comes highly recommended.

What made this experience great, besides the majesty of Mt Etna, were the expert guide, Nello, and our driver. These two men turned in such wonderful performances that this day will be a permanent highlight in our book of memories.

Francesco, Davido, Marco and team did a fantastic tour with a great mix of education, humour and trekking.
Communication from start to end was great.

The volcano was interesting but the gorge was extraordinary

Well paced and well organised. Equipment available as required and knowledgeable guide.

We had an amazing tour with our guides Marco and David. The guides was helpful and had so much knowledge about the aera. We did a half day tour and experienced so much.

Our family of 6 took the all day tour, Sept. 19, 2026. While we did have some heavy rain the tour was very worthwhile.

Tour guides, Marco and David were great, very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Trip was well organized and everyone in our family had a great time.

Parfaite organisation. Guides a l’écoute des clients et très professionnels. Un des guides a même raccompagné une cliente qui a pris le vertige jusqu’au retour .

Our guides David and Marco were amazing. From both of them we got a lot of information during the tour and we visited amazing spots.
Like @ school but than much much better 😉

Super! J'ai réservé une demi journée pour mon mari et moi lors de notre voyage de noces en Sicile, c'était une très bonne expérience.
Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir deux guides qui parlent français et qui sont tous très agréables.
L'organisation est très fluide et l'équipe très réactive.
