OMG..... this thing is amazing. I am lost for words, can't stop carving. to be able to ride at speed and carve up hills is CRAZY. I may not have my hover board as promised in Back to the Future but this thing will do for now. Smile Ride and Smile some more.

One of the motors of the Evolve electric skateboard that I bought 11 months ago stopped working. After sending the motor to Evolve they have determined that the motor was damaged due to “external influence”. On the call they’ve explained that “external influence” means: a piece of dust got into the motor and damaged some of the sensors. According to their warranty this is not their fault and I should pay for the new motor.
The first problem I have is that this motor stopped working 11 months after I bought it, after only light use (due to lockdowns - my previous Boosted board I used daily as a way to commute to the office for three years).
The second problem I have is that Evolve advertises their $2000 GTR skateboards going though extreme terrain (sand and dirt etc.). They even sell all terrain wheels that you can swap in if you want to do all this off-road stuff. However, their motors have multiple large vents that are not in any way protected from dust. They have also just introduced $3000 (!) board with motors that feature very similar large unprotected vents.
Not only am I disappointed in the fact the board broke after such limited use, but I think Evolve is using very misleading advertising if their motors are so susceptible to dust. Evolve should either stop advertising their board as something that is capable of handling “rough terrain”, change design of their board so that it can actually can handle it, or cover so called “external influence” under their warranty.
Their support said that my case is “very rare”, but Evolve is not responsible because it’s not their fault that the piece of dust got into the motor. I agree, but it’s Evolve’s fault that they designed the board that can easily be damaged by dust and it’s their fault that they advertise it as something that can not only handle pavement, but go though sand and dirt.

Your windscreen analogy is not great. Skateboards don't have windscreens or anything like it. Saying that motor is like windscreen is ridiculous. If you want to continue with car analogy then it would be engine that stopped working... while you were driving on a paved road.. how would it make you feel? You guys are completely missing the point.

These guys rock my world! They told me they couldn't help for quite a while due to pandemic shipping delays, and then turned around my repair lightning fast, within a week. Nothing makes me happier than under promise, over deliver it seems!! I can't wait to buy a Hadean now!!!

Matt, service and support Manager, at the London HQ, from the get go was extremely cooperative and helpful with getting my board repaired from a nasty accident, he did everything he could to ensure I was happy and pleased, and I'd just like to say to Matt, thank you mate! I'll be recommending evolve to others, not just about the boards, but the outstanding customer service. Keep it up guys and gals!

Evolve when you read this, 50% of your reviews are 1 star. 50% that is REALLY poor! It cannot be all the customer's fault if 50% of the customers who review your product are severely unhappy!
It's such a shame I have to give Evolve a 1-star review.
It could have been a 5 star so easily if they just either improve the board's water seal or support their guarantee..
I bought the Bamboo GTR which I ride with an all-terrain setup on a daily basis to walk my dog and go to the shops. I ride through the woods, and on grass. I don't ride in the rain, or through puddles.
However, every roughly 3 months so far the motor has blown and seized up, both whilst going at full speed, throwing me off, thankfully I was not hurt badly either time.
I contacted support, first time, they blamed water ingress, but did repair it for me. This time, they blamed water damage again but refused to cover it despite being only 6 months into warrenty.
My argument is they clearly advertise the board as being an offroad board, mud, grass, etc. Just look on Evolves youtube channel and you will see it being ridden in mud, in the woods, and over snow!
It's also England, we have about 30 super dry days a year. Other than that, the mud has some level of moisture content and due to the power of the motor, it is flicked up onto the motor.
My complaint is it's impossible to know what will kill it. The only way to be 100% sure is to always ride it on dry concrete, but that's not what the board is marketed as doing.
So frustrating, and expensive, since I actually LOVE the board when it works. I'd love to be giving it 5 stars.
But I can't, I have spent £1500 to use an electric board for 6 months which is going to break on a regular basis and cost a load more money to constantly repair if I ride it offroad again.
I want a refund or repair evolve!

I have been shopping for an eSkate for a long time and unable to make an easy decision which one to buy. But after “test riding” Evolve GTR I fell in love with it. It’s very pricey but, after I found out they offer ZipPay/Money, I quickly bought one online. So thank you Evolve for giving me my ultimate carving machine!

we bought 2 gtr carbon 2in1
1 was working for 1 day 2 was working for two weeks and then the motor controlle burned completely! so we contacted evolve germany we got a new motor controller within one week but since this time the board dosent work proper anymore (dosen’t go up the hill anymore)
so we send this board to germany!
its there now since 3 months!!!! i called them already several times and they said its not ready and i have to wait.. so 4000€ for 2 boards where 1 worked 1day and one 2 weeks... really bad customer sevice!

BAD Quality... After riding 18 Months (with two winther and not riding 6 Months) my GTR. Replace, 7 Motors/ 1 Charger/ 2 Motor Controller VESC/ 1 Baseplate (Trucks) brocken on riding 20-25km/h/ 2 Charge Port Cover... I sell it.. never again Evolve Skateboards!

After almost two months of back and forth due to the shipment arriving damaged finally "mostly" was refunded.
Customer service was horrible and no one wanted to take ownership that the box arrived severely damaged and had obviously been dropped many times. FedEx finally agreed it arrived not up to their standards and refunded me $100. Evolve stands by "requiring a signature at arrival" which I never did. I had to pay the shipping back to the warehouse even though it was proven damaged. Was not refunded the originally shipping cost and was also told I would not be refunded the taxes. It is illegal for a company to not refunded you taxes for an item you paid for. They finally agreed after I told them this and sent the taxes back.
Purchase this board direct at a store and do not ship. I live in Canada so it was my only option as stores don't carry stock here.
The bouncing from rep to rep was insane and I had to email them multiple times to get any answer. Finally received one voicemail after two months of emails. Not a trustworthy company.

I have just started riding my new GTR Carbon AT for the past 2 weeks & am totally stoked with the board & the ease to cruise the bike track on & off-road. The power delivery is smooth & climes hills with ease even with my 100kg it has people scratching their heads in disbelief. My GF also loves it & picked it up very easily & am thinking I upgrade to the Hadean in September & give her the GTR. Two Evolves cruising along sounds like love & plenty of fun.

Got myself the GTR Carbon AT after a lot of research. Took only 2 days to arrive!
This is my first long board/E Board and I use it 3 to 4 days a week. Its a fantastic way to destress after work and midnight runs with the headphones on are insanely fun. Customer service was excellent. Some anti fatigue grip tape would be a nice addition, but overall I'm very satisfied :)

An absolute hoax!
I was able to ride my GTR Bamboo for about 20-30minutes before one wheel popped off at 30km/h, destroying the trucks! Luckily I did not get hurt..
After great resistance Evolve Germany agreed to send me a new board (great!).. BUT! After 3 days of riding my new board one of the motors broke down and won’t connect to the controller. This time they tried to dodge my emails for a while, wouldn’t talk about a sensible solution without getting into a heated discussion (heartbreaking customer service!) and refuse to refund my money even though their product broke down TWICE!
So I am sad to report they have a really poor quality on their skateboards, but even worse: a terrible customer support policy!
Looking at more reviews I can tell that I am not alone in my experience. Please do your research before you choose Evolve.

Perhaps of limited value this review seeing I’d not ridden a skateboard of ANY description before, but am totally satisfied with my purchase of an AT Bamboo GTR.
South Australian law being as restrictive as it is, I’ve yet to venture beyond my 90 acres of mallee scrub but the board handles the diversity of open terrain here well. Eventual travel I’ve made easier with the purchase of a Pure Sine Wave inverter for my vehicle, which I’ve tested and will allow me to charge on the go.
Evolve respond promptly to enquires, have a great website, and rapidly dispatch and deliver a rugged board that, with the bamboo flexibility, rides comfortably. Addition of a Bash Guard was made easy by referring to the tutorial video and, likewise, a service will be easily doable.
Five stars for every aspect are fully deserved by the Evolve team.
Glad I took the plunge!

Evolve, I purchase your most expensive board through your authorised dealer, Force, kite and wake order number 8457. Your dealer is not replying to communications. The remote dose not connect to board and your dealer in Toronto( long board living) has just admitted that the item is defective!!! Your website mentions is unlikely that you need a warranty less than a year when your item falls apart in hours. Please advise.

I always had second hand started with the mighty boosted,then the double the trouble kingpins of ‘evolve one’ ,an amazing shape, but now …having worked at the hospital during the pandemic managed to save some well earned bucks
