Utterly impossible to log in

Utterly impossible to log in, or get an email to reset, or get any useful help. How is it possible for a financial business with UK clients to be so unbelievably unhelpful with such a terrible website? Seems those investing from the UK are no longer worth more than simply taking the money and then providing no useful service. What has happened to UK financial services?

Keeping the change

Looks like they are going to get to keep their fee for sending a hardcopy dividend check because they make it impossible to wade through their morass at the "investor" site. A dystopian nightmare instead of a simple update.

My experience with EquateMobile…

My experience with EquateMobile (Computershare) has been extremely frustrating, primarily due to the lack of a clearly defined and transparent wire transfer process.
The platform does not distinguish properly between payment methods. When entering bank information, ACH, domestic wire, and federal wire details are all requested within a single form, without clear guidance on which method will actually be used. This creates a significant issue for users whose banks differentiate between account numbers depending on the transfer type (ACH vs. wire vs. international/SWIFT).
For example, the system asks for a single account number, while also requesting both ACH and ABA routing information. In reality, many financial institutions use different account details depending on the transfer method. This mismatch makes it extremely difficult to confidently input correct information and creates a high risk of transfer errors.
Compounding the issue, customer support has been unable to clarify even basic details about transfers. After multiple inquiries, they could not confirm:
What transfer method (ACH vs. wire) is actually used
What banking details are required for a successful transfer
The converted USD value when funds are exchanged from CAD to USD
Their customer service is not able to confirm the USD amount. Even after funds have already been sent out of their own financial system is particularly concerning and demonstrates a lack of visibility into transactions.
Based on publicly available reviews, this lack of support and transparency appears to be part of a broader pattern. Customers frequently report difficulty reaching knowledgeable representatives, long delays, and issues resolving account or transaction questions.
In my case, I initiated a transfer from EquateMobile to my bank account on February 6th, and as of May 1st, the funds have still not been received. This timeline is far outside what would be considered reasonable for any electronic transfer.
Overall, the combination of:
unclear transfer workflows
inconsistent banking requirements
lack of transaction transparency
and insufficient customer support
makes this platform very difficult to use for moving funds.
Whether you are an individual user or a company considering this platform for an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, I would strongly recommend carefully evaluating alternatives before using EquateMobile/Computershare.

Computershare is the MOST difficult company to work with!

Computershare is the MOST difficult company I have ever dealt with!!! Customer service is the worse, including their supervisors! Your calls get disconnected and no one has any authority to help you! If you have your stock shares managed by Computershare, find another company to move your shares to now!!!

One of the worst experiences

One of the worst experiences of trying to report a death, hopeless Ai telephone system that just repeats itself, and finally when eventually connected with an agent seemed uninterested and un sympthathetic, dreadful expereince you can get shares with much friendlier companies don't use them as a retail investor

Computershare is the worst company for…

Computershare is the worst company for selling company shares, hands down. I entered a valid online sell order last week, and waited hours for an order confirmation (it's a computer, right? apparently not). The Computershare system stalled, didn't give me a "Sale Ordered" notification, but only a "See Details" note, which of course had no details. After hours on the phone, I reached a Computershare rep, who said my shares had been placed in a "reserve" account, and would need a manager to 'restore' my shares! WTH? She said it would take two business days to restore. More like, two days to fix their antiquated software screwup. Add this to the long list of difficulties I've had with this bunch of amateurs. Stay away from this company.

Our mother is in memory care

Our mother is in memory care. We are trying to sell her shares to help pay for it and they continue to obstruct the sale by asking for documents we have already sent them. One time it was because they thought we didn't send the large service fee, as it was included in an earlier letter. We keep having to overnight responses because they threaten to make you pay the fee again if you don't satisfy their doc requests in 90 days from initial submission. This continues to be an awful experience and I would avoid this company at all costs if you have a choice in the matter.

Can’t get my account number for nothing…

Can’t get my account number for nothing they keep saying call customer service and all I’m getting is a piece of paper with everything on it but the account number for some reason it’s hidden and I don’t have access to it but they have access to my personal information.

Worst investment company ever

Worst investment company ever! There is no customer service at all and most people that work at this company do not even understand English. Watch out for hidden fees such as when you transfer your account they hit you with high fees even though they claim that there are no fees when you transfer your account and good luck trying to resolve any issue with them. Don't use this company at all or you will be very sorry if you do!!!

Can I give zero stars?
For anyone who has older relatives with DRIP accounts with their stock holding with them, in my case the place where my Grandma worked for 36 years and my Grandpa for 50, take my advice. Speak with them and have them move their holding asap to a broker. This place has been the least helpful company I have ever worked with after my Grandmas passing, and this is with a TOD account that she was very proud to set up for an easy transfer to me upon her death. Take my advice and transfer the stock to a more modern broker NOW.

Shocking beyond belief

Wow. I thought I’d seen some bad companies, but Computershare USA takes the cake.

Their service isn’t just poor—it’s practically non-existent.

I sold some shares in February and have been struggling ever since to receive the proceeds. It’s now almost the end of April. Here’s what happened:

After the sale, I was notified that it had gone through, but I wasn’t given any information about the next steps or how the cheque would be delivered. Weeks later, after repeatedly following up with Australia Post, I was told nothing had been received from the USA.
I then contacted Computershare to obtain a tracking number. When I provided it to Australia Post, they advised it didn’t appear to be one of theirs. After searching the number online, I discovered it was actually a UPS tracking number. When I contacted UPS, they informed me I had just missed the delivery, it was already being returned to sender on the same day I called.

When I asked why delivery failed, I was told they couldn’t locate me at home. I then asked whether any attempt had been made to contact me by phone or email, and was told that wasn’t part of their process. It’s unclear how they expect to successfully deliver something as important as a cheque without any form of notification. Do they expect recipients to stay home indefinitely waiting?

After that, I attempted to contact both Computershare Australia and the US. After weeks of failed attempts and being stuck with automated systems, I finally spoke to a representative. Although the interaction was less than professional, I was at least relieved to reach a person. I was told the cheque would be reissued and that I would receive a new tracking number within a few days.
That was over a month ago, and nothing has been received since.

I have made numerous follow-up calls and sent multiple emails. The responses I’ve received have been generic and unhelpful. I have since updated my bank details to request an international funds transfer instead, but I have not received any meaningful confirmation, just a generic email stating my bank details were updated.

This situation is beyond unacceptable,.it.is disgusting and it would never happen in Australia outside of Computershare.

As a procurement professional, I would never engage a supplier that operates in this manner. Fortunately, my other investments are managed through local brokers, and this experience has reinforced that I would never consider onboarding Computershare as a supplier under any circumstances.

I don't know where to start

I don't know where to start. All aspects of their customer service are broken. Wait times are well over 30 minutes. Call back option is broken. CSRs have no authority to fix issues. Supervisors have no authority. I have spent six hours over seven calls to get a simple K1 mauled and it still hasn't happened. I wonder if anyone at Computershare cares.

Horrible, invest with a company that doesn't use them.

Horrible. The only customer service phone number connects you to an automated system that can only supply the most elemental of information, you know, the kind of info you already know. System basically says not to call them on Monday and Tuesday because they are busiset then. Uh huh, so everyone will call Weds? System doesn't even transfer you to an agent when asked. Just says they can't answer the question. So then you will try the chat. Guess what it disconnects you after a second. Don't believe me, try it. What a lousy company. I will invest elsewhere to avoid these dodos.

Grossly Incompetent

This company is like a textbook definition of "grossly incompetent." I submitted POA documentation several times, and when I have called they have confirmed that the documentation is on file. However, after four attempts to sell shares and close accounts, I continue to get rejection letters from them stating that they cannot process the request until I submit POA documentation. Every time, I call them and they once again confirm that they have the POA documents on file -- but then I have to go through the process again of filling out forms, getting a nonsensical stamp from the bank on the forms, and resubmitting them - only to have them again tell me that they cannot process the forms because they are lacking POA documentation. I have struggled to sell these shares and close all Computershare accounts for at least four years, and they still will not comply.

The lady who took my call (Raksheen?) was extremely helpful. She followed the somewhat complicated nature of my enquiry, sought further information while I was put on hold for a few minutes, and clarified the position for me.
