Our Managing Director, Paul Brayley, started work as an apprentice automobile technician at the age of 16. He progressed through the ranks, gaining experience at all levels over his 44-year career, and founded Brayleys in 2003. Needless to say, Paul knows the automotive industry inside out, and it’s his dynamic energy and no-compromise approach to customer focus that has enabled Brayleys to expand from its humble beginnings to the successful business of today. Paul strongly believes in bringing family values to the workplace, and Brayleys offers a friendly, caring, responsible and respectful service to all customers, enabling them to trust us with their motoring needs time and again. Too long a wait, and no updating. The service plan should cover all, they know the history of the car.
My partner is currently waiting in reception (Watford/Bushey)after having pre-booked a service and dropped of circa 09:00. She isn’t being kept up to date and has been informed a tyre she purchased there as a set just last year is bulging and needs replacing, and that the air-con needs “extras” which her service charge doesn’t cover. An old Jazz and a plus £500 bill;; No car wash (a tree is planted!) how does that help, the car needs washing so no help at all to the ‘world’. BTW they don’t phone you with the news and ask if you wish to go ahead, they send a text!!!

Service & MOT
The servicing department kept me informed of what was needed for my car and gave me the option to proceed with their recommendations or not. Customer service was excellent, staff were friendly and professional and I felt valued.

The service department were efficient and professional.
The service department were efficient and professional as always. However, I was extremely disappointed that Brayleys have decided to stop valet cleaning the car after an annual service. It seems that since Brayleys took over from Crown there have been several cutbacks, i.e no newspapers or biscuits in the waiting area, but this is by far the worst and as a long standing customer who has bought several cars from there, I find it distastful and insulting to our loyalty.

In place of each wash and vac, we now partner with Ecologi to plant a tree instead. It’s a small change, but one that supports a wider environmental commitment.

Car not cleaned
Service advisor was excellent. However I was extremely disappointed that when our car was brought back to us it had not been washed or hoovered.We were told Brayleys had stopped doing this. Having been in the motor trade since leaving school I have never seen this. To me it is a backward step and most people will be dissatisfied with this decision. It is not right to give the car back dirty. In my opinion it is part of the service.

The actual service and mot was fine.....But
The actual service and mot was fine. Lee was very helpfu and did a good job.. Also Nevill who picket up our car and delivered it back was helpful and professional.
I have a couple of problems, it costs a lot for this service, I was told on booking that as I was a long standing client of over 20 years that I would not pay this charge. I did, and it was over £40.
Also Brayleys now do not wash and vac the car as they used to when it was Crown Honda.
So I was not very happy.

Very long wait for acknowledgement once walking through the door. Stood waiting around, only nicest colleague is a young chap wearing glasses who works on service reception. Really professional unlike his colleagues.if he is around and get quickly acknowledged. Otherwise kept waiting feeling uncomfortable.
Very unhappy about not cleaning cars after service due to your new policy.
Next year will take my custom else where.
